I saw Dr. Robinson as a new patient for what I believed to be a toenail that had developed a fungal…read moreinfection. During my visit, he noticed a spot underneath my second toenail. I explained to him that what I thought was a "mole" had been there for most of my life. I actually had it examined by my PCP in the past, and they told me to watch it, make sure I didn't notice any changes in size, shape, diameter, etc. Which I have not, so I was not concerned about it. Dr. Robinson suggested that he do a biopsy. Of course, I was concerned about the procedure and wanted to know more, but I also agreed to have it. As I asked questions, he continuously spoke over me, cut me off, and I felt it was rude. I still listened respectfully. He explained that doing the biopsy was very important and that I would not be in any pain. I told him that I would prefer to have it done on my days off, since my job required me to stand and walk for long periods of time. I did not want to risk having discomfort. He went on to say that this was more important than worrying about work and that I would be "foolish" not to have it done. He told me that he's been doing this for over four decades, and it felt just like a "pinch" in which he "pinched" my skin to show me how little pain I would feel as if I were a three-year-old pediatric patient. After realizing that I would not have the biopsy done right away, he asked, "When will you have two days off in a row next week"? I pulled out my phone to check my work schedule. He said, "Look at me while I am talking to you and give me two days next week". I responded, "If you allow me to check my work schedule for next week to see which dates I am off, then I will let you know". At this point, I realized that I did not want to receive treatment from this provider. He had no empathy or compassion. He invalidated my concerns and feelings. He did not allow me time to give him dates that worked for me. He basically pressured me into making an instant decision, and the decision had to be one that he was comfortable with, not me. To make matters worse, when I attempted to speak up for myself and ask questions regarding the process, recovery, etc, he told me to be quiet, or he would walk out of the room and not return until I was quiet. He stated, "I usually cuss at my patients when they don't listen, but I will not cuss at you". I responded, "That will be wise for you not to". I have been in the healthcare field for over eighteen years and have worked throughout the USA. I was flabbergasted by this physician's lack of professionalism. Needless to say, I will not be returning. I called the office and informed the clerk, Jai, who was really professional, of my experience during my visit, and that I would not return due to his lack of respect towards me and his attitude while providing care. As a medical provider, you have a code of conduct you should follow, which serves as a framework for professional behavior, ensuring that you prioritize the health and well-being of your patients. Forcing your "new" patient to make a decision instantly, using fear tactics to do so, speaking to them in a condescending tone and manner, disregarding their concern for pain based on their pain threshold and possible physical/work limitations, and threatening to abandon care and use profanity when you can't "make" them do what you want based on your time frame, not there's is unacceptable behavior and it crosses the line. I am grateful that I have emotional intelligence and was raised as a Christian by parents who taught me to treat all people equally and with love and respect. This man needs to retire. He does not deserve the title, "doctor". I do not recommend him to anyone. ***I will also like to add....for those of us who have experienced unfavorable treatment or prejudice based on race, gender, age, and/or disability, or have just been disrespected..do not allow that person's poor behavior to deter you from seeking proper medical treatment elsewhere. I do plan to follow-up with a different provider and specialist.

He performed a procedure to prevent the toenails from growing back and causing further pain. Each procedure was completely painless for my son. Beyond his skill as a doctor, Dr. Robinson has been incredibly kind, funny, and upbeat. He makes every visit to the foot doctor an extremely pleasant experience. We're so grateful for his care and expertise!

I took my children (now teenagers) to see Dr Koenigsberg during the summer. The doctor himself is…read morereally nice and caring (the stars are for him and him only). However, his staff is horrible. Rude and unhelpful (esp that Indian lady at the front desk). She is so lazy, she will ask you to call your own insurance company to figure out if you will be covered under your insurance. She will tell you a price that if you pay $xxx, then the office will not bill your insurance company. But if you don't pay $xxx, they won't know how much your insurance is going to bill you. Guess what? I paid that one price $xxx so that everything is settled there and then. However, she did not tell the billing office, the billing office go claim the insurance company and then said I have to pay $xxxx (yes 4 digits). I had to call the billing office and explained what happened. In addition, they did not call me when the orthotics did not arrive at the office, and they did not reschedule with me. So after I drove an hour from my house to the office, they told me they don't have them. They asked me to call the next day to confirm the arrival of the orthotics. I called them at 11:45 am, thinking that this should give them time before lunch to take my call and should be less busy. They not only did not pick up the phone, they picked it up and then immediately cut my line off without saying a word. When I called back thinking maybe it was an error, they did the same thing again. Why not just let it ring? How rude can one person be? Seriously, the doctor himself is really really good. If you can stand his staff and their billing practice, then definitely go ahead and pay a visit. I really think it's insurance fraud, when the office tells me to pay and not claim my insurance, but then go ahead and claim insurance anyway. It is an unethical practice, and maybe I should call my insurance company. Summary - Great Doctor, Horrible Staff.
