Bucket list item! I had to try this isolation, meditation float tank business. I found the experience very pleasant and very different. I chose the 90 minute option and time went by faster than I thought. I think next time, I would go for a massage first as my pesky hairdresser shoulders were talking to me as I was trying to be a floating goddess. I like that they are open pretty late (9pm) so I could go in after serving my guests. I will do it again. I had the float room for my experience. They also have an oxygen bar and a chill relax room with a ginormous bean bag chair. Try this Reno, Nevada Mini retreat and let them know Carleen sent you. read more

Went for my first float today. I have a lot of joint pain problems and my sister suggested it. I wasn't really sure what to expect. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and this place is very clean. I would have to say I noticed relief as soon as I left on some of my joint pain. I plan to go back again. read more

Love this place. Staff is super friendly and willing to answer any and all questions. We first heard about the tanks on Joe Rogan and found that there was one in our area! The first float for me (because I didn't know what to expect) took some time to adjust, but it was amazing the second time and when it was over I remember thinking I wish I had more time. And I did the full 90 minutes. I love how my skin and hair feels after and any aches or sore muscles are alleviated in the float. The whole store is really clean and very calming. DEFINITELY use the ear plugs. I didn't the first time so I can say from experience of both, they're very helpful. I even gifted one to my mom for Mother's Day which she loved. We will definitely go back. read more

number one place if you want to get one of the best massages in town and have a complete reset and re-charge in a sensory deprivation chamber. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with all needs and questions read more

I had an amazing experience at this place. Everyone is very welcoming. I had a massage with Michelle and it was a life changing experience I will only be getting that type of massage going forward. I also floated for the first time and again it is life changing. I was able to clear my mind completely and have never experienced that without the assistance of my perscription. Thank you so much for this experience everyone should try this at least once. read more

I booked an hour long massage with Melody Phay and it was amazing. It was the first massage I've ever had that wasn't painful during or after! It really helped alleviate some pain and tightness I've been carrying around a long long time. Book with Melody, she is so kind, thoughtful, professional, and gifted! read more

I just did my first float at Healing One and it was a wonderful experience. It's a very casual and friendly environment and the staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I suggest showing up early to hang out and drink the tea that's provided. I've never felt more relaxed after my float and recommend this to everyone, even if it's just to experience it. I will return! read more

Love this place so much. I actually found this place by accident. I had an appointment at another place in the same parking lot but walked in this place instead. I still got my massage at the other place but it was different...... I decided to book an appointment at Healing One like a few weeks later and I absolutely love it. The staff are all nice and professional. It's very safe and calming environment which gives off great vibes. Just walking inside this place already makes me feel good. It's well worth the money. The therapist who worked on me and planning to see again is Alicia. Hopefully I got her name right. She's very professional and accommodating. My back and hips were so tight. Most likely I injured it at the gym. Not to mention I have slight scoliosis and I've been in a couple minor car accidents which didn't seem to help my back either and possibly some trauma. I'm quite new to this area, and I'm very sure this will be my go to place. Thank you so much Alicia for working on my back and hips. Decided to schedule a longer session with her since my back and hips is so messed up. So looking forward again. -Peace ‍ read more

I went in for my first soak ever without any real expectations since I've never done anything like this before. Chaz was super friendly when I walked in and got me all cozy in the hang out space so I could fill out paperwork and watch the VERY informative pre-float video. They supply everything that you might need for your float (ear plugs, robe, towels, vinegar, vaseline...) the video explains it all. I was shown to my room which consisted of a small changing area with a large shower that contained the door to the float room. Exactly enough space to do what you need to do. The float room was the same size as the shower/changing space giving me ample room to float without touching anything. There is a bright blue/pink light that illuminates the whole space which you can turn off when ready and music plays for the first 10 minutes and then again when your time is up. The float itself was a little sureal. I've done meditation in the past and thought oh I will just quiet my mind. But seriously, in the face of nothingness my mind went bonkers for at least the first half of my time. When it finally calmed down I could feel/hear my own heartbeat and that was all. After I was finished floating I was a bit out of sorts and happily utilized the amazing relaxation lounge once more. They have an oxygen bar, tea, water, books, coloring books, a love sack... what more could you ask for? The space was very chill and inviting so I didn't feel rushed to take off before I was actually ready to deal with the world again. It wasn't necessarily a life altering experience but I did notice the beauty in the day more after I left and found that I had more patience with my 3 year old and her diva tantrums that evening. I also noticed that my skin was SUPER soft! I think that it is really hard to take the time to just sit with yourself and allow your mind to consciously relax and let go of things these days, so allowing myself to take 90 minutes to just exist without any distractions was a nice change of pace. Glad that this place is here, will definitely return :). read more

The ambience of this place is amazing. Chaz has done an amazing job with how the energy flows in their space. I am not new go floating and was super excited to try a place out of town. I'd been traveling across the country and this was exactly what I needed. I also bought some of their tea that they blend in-house, it was super tasty (the ginger spice). I highly recommend this to anyone local, get a membership. Or if you are traveling through out it in your list of must-dos while in Reno. read more

Healing One is exactly what it says, a special place of healing that promotes transformative experiences through holistic practices. I've gone for a few floats and will continue to go here because of the transformative experiences I have had. The owners and staff facilitate environments and provide services that guide their clients and the greater community in health, wellness and spiritual discovery. They are prime models, living by their own personal practices and virtues. Look out for the excellent membership deals and community events throughout the year. And if you've yet to try a float, this is the perfect place to do it! read more

Chaz and the staff at Healing One take their duties seriously when it comes to helping people. I came in for a float and I was so impressed by the facilities, the library and the healing energy that Healing One emanates. I've floated a couple of times now and this location is my favorite. Definitely make some time for yourself and stop by for a float! read more

I went to Healing One for my first float yesterday. It's such a comfortable environment the moment you walk in, with a colorful and easy to read "menu" detailing all their services and combo packages available. Crystal and rock fans will be so stoked to see their collection on display, which I've heard is only going to get bigger. They have charged water and a wide variety of teas available to help you hydrate and get settled in before your float, massage or energy work. The first float is definitely an experience, and probably not what you'd expect. First you take a shower in the float room, with soap/shampoo/conditioner provided for you. Then you dry off your face and step into the tank! For your first 10-15 minutes they play soft music to get you into the groove and slow your mind down, and it fades away into silence. The water's warm and comfortable, but you don't want it in your eyes! You have the option to completely close the tank (it's so easy to reopen the door), leave the door cracked, or completely open if you're a little nervous. Once you're inside and find a comfortable position, it's the most amazing thing to feel your entire body just relax. There's nothing like the feeling of weightlessness! It took me a little while to adjust to the idea of doing nothing. It's SO HARD to just.. Rest. No distractions, nothing to stimulate your brain, it leaves you in a very outer-space kind of environment. By the time I finally got the hang of it - of not doing anything - the music came back on and it was time to get out! It's kind of shocking how quickly 90 minutes goes by when there's no clock to watch. I got out of the tank, showered off again, and got dressed. My skin and hair are SO HAPPY now! I've also been having trouble breathing lately, and after my float it felt like my lungs had a lot more room for air. I can't wait for my next float, especially now that I know what to expect! Chaz, Micah, and Lauren have done a beautiful job with Healing One, and floating is such a unique experience. Even if you're not totally sure about it all, go check them out in person or call them at (775) 499-5393! Everyone who works there is amazing and would love to answer any questions you might have about floating, or set you up with an appointment for a massage, energy healing, or guided meditation from Elena. read more

In a world full of stress and speed, Healing One is the perfect getaway from it all. The moment you walk in the door you feel at home. Good vibes and great customer service. The owner, Chaz was very helpful and answered all of my questions professionally and honestly. Floating was so relaxing and rejuvenating, my muscular pains were released in that tank. It's such an unusual and comforting feeling to float and lose all your senses. Highly recommend! Elena also gives an incredible massage! Check it out people, it's worth every cent! read more

Elena is such an amazing masseuse! This is my second review. Her flow between muscle groups, the flow of the massage. Getting the 90 minutes is my favorite. She goes above and beyond with her practice. read more

A must try! Today my brother and I just stumbled in for a tour and met Chaz the owner. My brother had been interested in opening a float place of his own. Chaz happily gave us a tour of his place and explained how everything works. He gave my brother advice on opening his own place and shared his amazing story of how he got his place up and running. He was very friendly and knowledgable! Before we even bought a float he was very open to sharing his ideas and stories. We then bought a float ( I suggest to call in advance, because he's usually booked) I have chronic leg pain from previous injuries and my brother was looking to just completely relax. We both got what we hoped out of the session as just after one float I can feel the difference. I will definitely be coming back! Thanks Chaz!!!! read more

I've recently experienced my first "float" at Healing One, and had a thoroughly wonderful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone. The focal point--the neutral-buoyancy, sensory-depravation take experience--is something better experienced than described, but there is so much more to the place that rounds out the warm memory. The staff are friendly and have such an open, welcoming attitude that I immediately felt like I was going to have a good time. They have set up an inviting and comfortable space, too, so that the environment is relaxing. I am already looking forward to my next float, and I plan to arrive earlier so that I can spend more time enjoying the atmosphere that contributes to the great time I had. Try it--I guarantee you'll find it interesting, positive, and immensely relaxing and enjoyable. read more

How do you describe one of the best experiences one could've had on their first float tank? This place was hands down incredible. From the moment you walk into the soothing ambiance, a calm comes over you & you immediately forget the worries of your day. We were so warmly greeted by Chaz who possesses such a positive energy! He walked us through the process of the tank and explained how everything worked. We (my boyfriend and i) both got massages prior to floating which were sublime! I highly recommend doing a massage before your float because let me tell you, my muscles were so relaxed during my float that i was able to experience the full effect of sensory deprivation. The float tank and room were both super clean and welcoming. I felt comfortable and totally relaxed. Afterwards, we lounged in the "relax area" for a bit just trying to come back to life after having such a euphoric experience. Absolutely looking forward to returning to Healing One!! read more

I went for my first float yesterday. I was a little nervous, not sure what to expect. It was an incredible experience! It felt like being in a womb and floating on a cloud at the same time. I had been traveling and also through some trauma and my body felt heavy and a bit painful and I felt tremendous relief after floating...the salts are SO HEALING. My mind was calmer, and I stayed in touch with my breath all day afterwards. Completely rewarding experience!! read more

I had a 60 minute float this weekend at Healing One. This was my first ever sensory deprivation float and it has taken me a couple of days to put into words what to say about it. Checking in and going through the process of what to do and expect was easy. Chaz and his staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. The healing room where the float tank is, is clean, inviting and very relaxing. During my float I experience everything from giddy giggling, to deeply calm serenity. The time flew by as I grew more relaxed and just allowed myself to float and be present. After my float, I felt lighter and brighter - as though my entire body had received a reset, physically and emotionally. I have never been "good at" meditation, or anything that required me to be still and relax for a period of time and quiet my mind, but this was easy and the benefits have lasted for days. I've slept better and have felt so peaceful since my float. I'll be coming back for another one very soon. read more

After years of curiosity about sensory deprivation and over a year of living basically next door to this place, I finally decided to book my wife and I an appointment for a float. Why did I wait so long?!? As soon as you walk in the door you feel calmer. Chaz is awesome and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The environment once you walk in the door is inviting and soothing. My wife went in the float tank while I went in the float room. Once I figured out "how" to relax in the water my stress and time just melted away. I can't believe it took me so long to do this and I will definitely be back. read more

I Tried the flotation tank for the 1st time and It was incredible. I will recomend this to all of my Reno friends who want to disconnect from the world and experience relaxation and peace of mind. Great Center. I bought 4 floats to split between my brother and I over christmas. We finally made it in for our first sensory deprivation floats and they were amazing. Chaz and the other employees were very welcoming and informational. It is a great open environment that makes you feel comfortable. They have a chill lounge with plenty of places to hang out, read, talk, and drink tea or water. The float tank rooms have a nice ambiance that immediately make you feel comfortable and ready to float. They walk you through the whole thing and are there every step of the way. If anyone is looking for a place to float this is it! They are very attentive to their facility and it was very clean and their processes work well. My brother got a massage from Rodney and he said it was nice to accompany a float. Rodney was very in-tune with the body and has an individual touch on massage that my brother said makes it feel personal and made him feel very comfortable. Overall we had a great experience with healing one and will be going back. read more
