Last Nov, I was visiting from NY, and decided to get my eyebrows re-done and darken the top eyeliner a bit. I managed to get an appointment because Marge happen to have a cancellation. I met Marge back in 2012. My step daughter was getting married and I did like nor knew how to apply makeup. I went to the YSL counter at Neiman Marcus. Marge was the makeup artist there at the counter that day. She applied my make up to make me feel comfortable and walked me through every step in order for me to duplicate what she had done. Simply put, Marge is AMAZING. I found Marge via her ad on Next Door, and I was hesitant to say the least to get microbladed. She made the process incredibly easy and walked me through every step of the way, which was really appreciated! She took her time to map out where she would be tattooing, and did not start or get frustrated when I asked her (about 30 times) to reshape. Marge was extremely cognizant while she worked and explained everything and talked to me throughout the whole process, which made the time go by so quickly. Since she also has done the microblading to herself, she's also aware of the pain level and consistently checked in with where I was at for pain. Typically, you are supposed to wait about six weeks before you go for your touch up, but I healed so quickly thanks to her guidance and diligent work and was able to get my touch up about three weeks after my initial appointment. Everything was ideal! Marge is so engaging; professional yet warm, self assured but also perceptive. I had waited for years to have my eyeliner done and was relived that I felt fully confident in her style. Healing Ink Studio WOW!!! From the moment you enter Marge's studio you just feel at peace and Marge is a gracious host. She is very through to make sure that both you and she know exactly what you want and what you are going to get from the service. I had eyebrow microblading which as most people know is somewhat of a permanent thing so you definitely want it right. Marge drew with eye pencil on each eyebrow two different looks so I could get an idea of what she thought would be a good look for me and what she and I had been discussing and she was right. Her drawing was better and I went with that eyebrow. Shortly after that I went home to L.A. and was visiting one of my favorite makeup shops in Burbank, Cinema Secrets. While I was shopping and of course talking, I was complemented by the makeup artists on them and how natural they look. I have had several other complements which is so awesome because my eyebrows have been so thin and I can't draw a straight line to save my life so filling them in with pencil myself was never going to happen. I once had a makeup artist on a set that I was working on where I had asked for assistance when doing my own makeup mention to me that my makeup was great, I had good color and blending but my eyebrows needed some help. Well, I may not be on set any longer but if (and when I do go back again someday) they will look fabulous because of Marge! I want to go back and have her do my lips. I went to see Marge for microblading this week and could not have had a better experience. She has created a serene and sacred space for women to become their best selves. I was there for a cosmetic procedure designed to enhance my exterior, but I have to say that it was my gooey emotional core that was touched most by my experience with Marge. From start to finish, every interaction with Marge felt empowering. She communicated efficiently with me to schedule our appointment; I really appreciated that she demonstrated flexibility to work with my complicated work and travel schedule. Additionally, she gave me very specific instructions to prepare and was extremely transparent about what to expect from the appointment itself with regard to pain, aftercare, and needs for a touch up in about a month. I was very nervous about microblading. However, I think the results are going to change my life. As a middle-aged woman, I was going eyebrow-bald, and it was a big knock to my self-esteem. Marge was very caring and methodical in explaining the procedure, and what to expect. She uses a local anesthetic, and only once did I wince in a little pain. But it's all very tolerable. She took great care with measuring, and making sure that my UNeven eyebrows would look even. And she did a fantastic job! I will post photos in a couple of weeks after the pigment settles down!
