The experience raised serious concerns about whether the contracted care was actually being provided as represented. On more than 25 occasions, my father reported that no caregiver was present during the contracted hours, including on the day he was discharged from the hospital. I live approximately 4,700 miles away, so I relied heavily on the company's representations regarding whether caregivers were present. When I raised these concerns with the owner, Shannon, she repeatedly assured me that caregivers were at the home. On two separate occasions when I was physically at my father's home during contracted hours, no caregiver was present. On both occasions, I contacted Shannon to confirm whether someone was supposed to be there, and she stated that a caregiver was present. On one particularly concerning occasion, a caregiver arrived approximately five hours late and then asked me whether I had administered my father's medications. At that point, I discontinued the company's services. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage families considering Be Kind Home Care LLC to independently verify that contracted care is actually being provided and to carefully document caregiver attendance and services. I have reported my concerns to the appropriate authorities, and the company is currently the subject of investigations by two North Carolina government agencies. So we had to look for another option. working with this company if a caregiver can't come they find a substitute for you, and that was so important to us. The scheduling office folks were easy to talk to and they really seem invested in what they do, very pleasant people. we'd contact them if we needed care for my aunt or anyone else in the family again
