Wow! I am still in shock, and can't believe I passed my PMP with high above average today!…read more I went to Tony after a recommendation from my mother in law. She had his class 20 years ago and couldn't stop raving. I was unfortunately tainted when Tony got me as a student as I attempt multiple times to read the PMBOK in 2015, and proceeded to fail all 3 times I took it. This caused a lot of I'll feelings towards the subject and the test. Even panic attacks. Tony was patient and kind. He always has time for my questions and is truly an amazing instructor who really cares about you and helping you learn how to decode the PMP. If didn't understand something he had a multitude of examples to pull from to relate it to something I would understand. He takes a DRY and BORING subject and adds humor and good times, which helped me remember. I spent 20 minutes during the exams writing 4 pages of brain dump and I didn't even need to look at it. If you do exactly what he says, passing is a no brained. He has this down to a fine art. Thank you Tony for being a truly a gifted teacher and coach. I've got crazy ideas now to try for a PgMP, if I get up the nerve to put myself through another test, you are definitely the coach I want on the sidelines cheering me on!

She was very professional and knowledgeable, but her warm demeanor and sense of humor was appreciated more than she will ever know. Many of the other attendees expressed the same thoughts and felt a sense of calm. Thank you Sherry! I contacted Eleanor because I was overwhelmed with the private school application process: essays,…read moreinterviews, evaluations, testing...it was more work than getting into college! Plus, there were so many options that I hardly knew where to start. Eleanor was so kind, knowledgeable, and patient. She answered all my questions, even the ones I didn't know to ask. I was impressed with her knowledge of DFW schools, as well as the admissions processes for each. In addition, she helped me understand what schools actually consider and how to interpret test results and feedback. I walked into her office a nervous wreck, and left and hour later almost giddy with relief. I'm now armed with a plan and confident in my ability to meet the challenge. I feel confident my daughter will end up in the school that is the best fit for her, and I know where to go if I need more help and support. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for support as they muddle through the application process!

My experience with Amberton University has been very strong. I did extensive research before I…read moredecided on a master's program at this school. There were a few aspects of the university that made me decide to go with their program. Top of the list was excellent reviews by current and former students. Next, I wanted a program that would be extremely challenging, as I wanted a high quality education from a regionally accredited university. Last, I needed flexibility within my work schedule to be able to do my writing and research when I wanted. For me, Amberton fit all of these requirements. I am about halfway through my MS Human Resources, and I have been extremely pleased with the professors, and the education I have received. My GPA is high, but I have worked very hard for it. This school is not for the faint of heart, so be prepared to dedicate a lot of time to your class on reading and writing papers. Also, you must receive a 92% to achieve an A grade, 82% for a B, etc., and during undergrad I was on the standard scale of 90-100% being an A. The only reason I did not give Amberton five stars is due to their current online interface. Although they have made large strides in the past year to upgrade the online experience, there is minimal use of multimedia and interactive resources. Being a smaller school, I understand it takes a large budget to get there, but in my opinion this is the one area their programs are currently lacking. Once they fill this gap, it will be a five star experience. All in all, the education I have received has been extremely valuable, as I can apply it in real-time at my current position. I recommend this program to anyone who is serious about their academics, and wants to use their degree to succeed in the future. I'm very confident my degree will enhance my ability to be promoted in the future.

The professors understand that they are teaching working adults, and sometimes the demands of work or family cause us to miss class. They were ALWAYS willing to accommodate me. I had terrific professors at Amberton. Most of them have been there a long time, and I only had one adjunct while I was there. Classes were not huge, so I felt that I had the opportunity to get to know my profs. They were always available for office hours, which I frequented often. Best part about Amberton--the price. It is so much cheaper than other schools around. I got out of graduate school with no debt. Study groups were abundant. The book store was terrific about buying back my books. The staff was always helpful. The campus is not pretty. There are not a lot of degree choices or elective choices. This is truly a no frills university. To me, none of that stuff mattered as long as I graduated without debt! Check it out if you are looking into grad work or undergrad work.
