I spent five days attending the Digital Training & Designs InDesign Bootcamp, and it was AWESOME…read more Digital Training & Designs provides training for all Adobe products (Dreamweaver, Captivate, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and Apple products (like Final Cut Pro, Motion, etc.). They have experts on staff that teach these programs, and it doesn't matter how many people are signed up for the class--if they have one person enrolled, they will teach the class! Consequently, my class size was very small, just four of us for the whole week, which meant we got lots of personal attention. You register for class ahead of time on their website. When you begin class, they set you up with a desk and computer of your choice (PC or Mac) in one of their many classrooms. The instructor's monitor is displayed on a monitor beside yours so that you can see everything she does and you can follow along easily. You are provided with whatever necessary manuals and textbooks are required (for InDesign training, we got two). They have a large break room and kitchen with free coffee, tea, and snacks. My class was taught by Joan, who was a gem. She was incredibly knowledgeable about InDesign and just the nicest person ever. She taught us everything we needed to know in those five days. Class ran from 9 AM to 4:30 PM, with two fifteen minute breaks and one hour-long break for lunch. I highly recommend this training school. If you need to learn a particular program, these are the people that will make an expert out of you. I wish I could take more classes here!

It was the best decision we made for us and our baby. My labor and delivery ended up being the total opposite of what we had wanted/planned and Kaitlyn was the absolute best coach and comfort during the whole experience. Not only did she educate us on what to expect, but she made us feel confident as decision makers and parents - before our girl was even here! My birth experience was intense and I cannot imagine going through it without Kaitlyn by my side. There truly isn't a better advocate for mom and baby than a doula. We learned that the hospital and staff (while they were great) just aren't as invested in you as a family. Kaitlyn helped us see a tongue tie issuse as well which after we got corrected literally changed our breastfeeding experience when it was looking impossible. Kaitlyn will always be a special part of our family story. Doulas are so gifted and magical and you will never regret having one - especially Kaitlyn if you're lucky to have her! We knew being second time parents that something just wasn't right. We contacted Cathy and she was able to come out to our home in Alhambra quickly. She immediately identified our son had a tongue tie which explained all of our feeding issues. She also spent lots of time explaining about proper latching and showing us how to feed. She explained how to supplement with pumped milk just until our son started to gain weight which helped us avoid formula as our nurses suggested. Since the. We had the tongue tie cut and are successfully breastfeeding a couple weeks later :) We also had questions after our meeting which she responded to via email very quickly and offered another phone consultation the next day. The Director Afrah is childishly unprofessional. I paid $2,700 dollars in April of 2025 for my granddaughter to receive tutoring. In June, my son and daughter had to move out of state and were told by Afrah that we could receive a refund, or possibly have the money transferred to the Sylvan in our new town so we could continue with tutoring. The catch was that we had to wait a month. We did as we were told and called after a month. We spoke with Afrah at one point, and then missed a call from her at another time. When my son-in-law called her back a few days later, she had the audacity to hang up on him three times in a row before he could say a word. There was no argument....nothing. Just hang ups. He called back once more and Afrah (it was definitely her on the line) said he had the wrong number and - when he asked who he'd called - said (with some hesitation) he had called "Bob Moran's Office." Come on! If we weren't able to get a refund that is fine - just tell us that! Don't leave us wondering what in the heck is going on, and insulting our intelligence like she did. To add insult to injury, we have reached out to corporate, but they have never gotten back to us either. The part that makes me feel pretty bad is that I had to tell the woman at the Sylvan here that - although it was no fault of her own - I could never trust a Sylvan again - nor give them my money.....

Since my very first session, I have healed and flourished in ways I never imagined I could. I initially resorted to hypnosis simply as a means to lose weight, as I have had a pretty rough 5 years. However, the 30 pounds I have lost and kept off over Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and NYE now feel like the most insignificant changes in myself, considering all the other major pieces I have put into motion. It is not possible, unless I write a short-story of my own, to put into a simple review how many ways Cal has helped me find my purpose.
