"Types of Accreditation…read more Schools can receive accreditation from either national or regional accreditors. Nationally accredited schools are mostly for-profit. For example, they could offer vocational or technical programs. Most regionally accredited schools are non-profit, with academics as the primary focus. If you decide to attend a nationally accredited school, remember this: In some cases, regionally accredited schools will not accept transfer credits from a nationally accredited school. This is because of academic standards and differing courses of study." "If you want to attend a professional or specialized college, choosing an accredited program is very important for licensing purposes. Attending an unaccredited college could prevent you from taking the necessary steps for professional US licensure. In some fields, you need a license before you can legally practice your profession in the US. Choosing an accredited school can be crucial! Almost every profession has a group that is a recognized accreditor for professional or specialized schools." UniversityLanguage.com Be careful what program you choose. Investigate first & work with the recruiter. You have your part too! Credits for courses which are purely technical in nature may or may not transfer to a university. Educational institutions are either regionally or nationally accredited. Accreditation is a voluntary process that ensures a college, university, or degree program meets a universal standard for quality. This gives an institution and its graduates credibility with other institutions and employers. After I graduated, a year of searching for employment, I am now working as a Texas Medicaid Reimbursement Associate with my current Certified Electronic Health Records CEHRS certification and physicians billing and coding education from Asher College. PS. You can negotiate your salary!!! I did and I am doing exceptionally well.

I received several offers for employment in the areas directly related to my study. I could not be more pleased with my experience at Asher. You can make the experience yours!

I attended an information session this week and am still recovering from the emotional manipulation…read moreand creepiness. Marcia Rudin of the International Cult Education Program defines a cult as "a group that, one, uses coercive pressure and deception to get people to join in and, two, uses mind-manipulation techniques without the consent or knowledge of the participant." My leader pressured us to be extremely vulnerable. It was a large room, but the four of us in the session were seated shoulder to shoulder in chairs five feet from the speaker, while 25 feet behind us a volunteer sat behind us and listened to us discuss our life struggles. When I shared something personal that made me cry, the leader encouraged me to repeat it for the group. I felt that her intent was to trick me into believing that the Landmark Forum will be the answer to all my problems. Thinh N., the reviewer on 11/27/17, was a volunteer at my session. He followed me after I left the room, trying again to get me to sign up. For a moment I was afraid that he was going to try to prevent me from leaving. Fifty percent of the three hours I spent there was spent trying to upsell us. For more information, google "Landmark Forum review." I wish I'd done more research before attending even a free event and read the articles about Landmark in GQ, Elle, and Mother Jones.

Landmark's transformative courses are top notched and they have your back throughout it…read more I've taken most their courses and it's focused on the individual discovering what their blind spots are in different parts of life , including communication or family related issues. I perform improv and it really opened me up to be more focused on stage and be more expressive of my actions and communications in my group. If your dealing with something long standing, that you are putting off on dealing with, take it on. Their courses really allow you to get to the root of what you are dealing with, and deal with it.
