This review is for Mandi @ Salon L…read more Ahh... Mandi. I purchased a Groupon for a wash, cut, and blow dry for $32 which was a superb deal. But I think I got what I paid for, which was a $32 cut, not a $70 something cut for the price of $32. Mandi gave me a semi-haircut nightmare, which is one where you're DONE with your haircut and not once did she walk me through what she was doing or if I wanted any changes made, etc. That literally freaked me out! Afterwards, I felt so rushed to leave so I didn't even have the courage to ask for changes. She asked me to stand to look at my hair and directed me to the cashier. I was like... "umm.. but.. yeah ok.. " Although very sweet, she seems very meticulous with her conversational topics with me, like she was fishing to see if I would come back as a regular customer. She asked me questions like what I do, where I was from, if I come to this area often, how often do I cut my hair, etc. All normal conversational topics, but hearing that I'm a student, lives like 30 miles away, doesn't come here often, and has been a while since my last haircut might've turned our relationship sour. Little does she know that I do my brows in concord all the time and will pass by WC often... The conditioner that was used on my hair is not the best in the world. I've had better products put in where it's SUPER deep treatment conditioning. My hair still feels rough right now. The haircut seems like maybe 15 minutes max, honestly. She started blow drying. I thought to myself, maybe she's just going to dry it to see what my hair would look like then adjust it from there. NOPE, she blow-dried it and I was in and out of there in about 40 minutes. My hair didn't come out bad, it's not what I wanted though. I asked for layers, there were minimal layers. Top, highest layer isn't even an inch from the bottom. I must confess, I have a fear of salons for these reasons. The reason why I choose to always grow out my hair. I should have been more vocal, but she wasn't vocal either. I don't need her to constantly conversate with me, but at least ASK me! I mean.. I'm leaving my physical appearance in your hands, 2 sentences in the beginning of our meeting isn't enough information! GAHH! At least it wasn't disastrous. She didn't over cut my hair, but my boyfriend saying, "You cut your hair? It looks the same" isn't a good sign either. I cut off at least 4-5 inches right off the bat, and if there are no noticeable differences, then not enough was done! This was more of a $40+ (including tip) trim.

I normally don't preschedule so I see multiple different hair stylists which may or may not be a good thing. I recently prescheduled an appointment and was running late so I gave a call to the salon. The woman on the phone was short and slightly obnoxious in that she was almost happy to tell me I would need to reschedule and still pay 100% for my cancellation. I did not cancel anything and it was a forced cancellation. I even asked if there was a late fee I could pay or reschedule it and only pay 50% for rescheduling fee since I've been a customer for so long but once again, she sounded happy to tell me no. I understand that being late is 100% my fault but I've also had to wait for my stylist for 10-15 mins when arriving on time so they are also not 100% punctual. This left a bitter taste in my mouth and I will unfortunately not be going back anymore.

This has been a long overdue review, I had to re-download my Yelp app to write my (first bad)…read morereview. I did contact the salon directly twice, but never heard back. I set up an appointment for a haircut, highlight, deep conditioning and style. I was looking for a new salon, closer to work. I was very excited to find a new, very cute salon. Sherris seemed nice and friendly. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and was describing what I liked, she "corrected" my terminology (I have been getting purple streaks in the middle (not ontop or underneath) of my hair for over 10years and have always described them as peak-a-boos, Sherris stated that's not what they are called). Okay that's fine, but you didn't add anything similar to my "peak-a-boos" either way. Rather than sharing my opinion of how horrible my hair came out, I attached 6 pictures to show how I wanted my hair to look, and how my hair turned out. Not only incredibly uneven, but did not look any different color wise, roots were still the same. I screenshot the pictures to include the date/time to show that they were within a few hours of my appointment. The appointment itself; I had my work phone and personal phone. In the beginning of the appointment, Sherris was eating, at her styling chair. I sat as she finished eating, So I began reading work emails. I had to respond to a few. During the appointment, I responded to a few work emails and 1 text from my little brother. Sheris asked me who was texting me when my phone would make the email sound. At one point, as she continued asking, I said "my brother just asked if I wanted to meet with him." That's it- case closed. She then began interpreting my brothers text and was rushing- I'm like "I told my brother I am busy it's not a big deal." She forgot the deep conditioning treatment. Since I was cutting off so much hair, she cut it prior to washing and was going to finish cleaning up/trimming after(?). She did not style my hair, did not even finish blow drying it- you can see the ponytail bumb in the pictures as my hair looked horrible and I immediately put it in a ponytail- yeah to the over $100 appointment. (Sarcasm) Her outgrown acrylic nails got stuck in my hair several times, the nail lady is directly next to Sherris. Each time her nails got caught in my hair, she would make a joke with the nail lady "good thing I have an appointment with you after her hair!" I paid for highlights, deep conditioning treatment, a haircut and style. As you can tell by the pictures, my haircut was horrible, I cut off about 6 inches and you can see how grossly uneven it is, like she literally missed portions of my hair. After 6 inches, I had to go elsewhere to get the cut even (so I basically paid for 2 cuts and had to find time for 2 appointments). The salon itself is so cute and has great reviews. Sherris was my worse salon experience ever. I will never go back and would never recommend the salon as a whole due to my experience with Sherris and never receiving a response from the salon directly despite trying to get through 2 times.
