I made a YELP account just so I could leave this review. I have been going to a family friend for many years to get my hair done. The past few times I've been really unhappy with how my color has turned out. This past time was by far the worst. Two days after my visit I was searching for someone to fix it. That's when I came across Headwaves. I had heard so many good things around town about how talented Josselyn is. I stopped in one afternoon and got a consult with her. She was so knowledgeable on what to do to fix my hair disaster. I made a appointment and came back 2 weeks later for her to fix it. She was so incredibly sweet and told me I wasn't going to leave till my hair looked fabulous. Well let me just say, when she was done with me my hair looked more than fabulous if there even is such a thing. I left feeling like I could take on the world and that's how every woman should feel after she has her hair done. I will be a life long client from now on. read more

I have been going to see Josselyn for about a year. I'm a no fuss kinda gal and wasn't sure what I wanted in a style, so I left it up to Josselyn. She literally works magic and gave me a style that was perfect for me. I love the fact that she truly knows her stuff and cares for each of her clients individually. She won't do something just for the money. She's honest and will help guide you to find a style or color that works for your. She bright and full of energy. My first time to ever see her was 2 days after my adopted dad passed away. My mom's heart and mine were so heavy, but we left there laughing and with huge smiles on our faces. If you're looking for more than just a salon, this is the place to go. She's up to date, spunky and truly amazing. Her daughter, Jackie, also works with her and she's just as fantastic. Today was my first time at Headwaves and I am completely satisfied with my experience. I was looking for a salon close to home so I started searching online and reading reviews. Headwaves had so many great things said about it, more specifically Josselyn seemed to be highly rated by many. I had to wait a couple weeks to get an appointment but I am so glad that I did. I hadn't been happy with my hair in awhile and after explaining and showing pictures to her about what I wanted she delivered. The salon atmosphere was fantastic and welcoming.Her and her daughter had me laughing and in a great mood the entire time. I am glad that I found a stylist who is excellent and close to home. I have been looking for a great hair salon for YEARS!! I have tried a few in the Pearland and Clear Lake areas and by golly....I FOUND JOSSELYN! Not only is she the most energetic, bubbly person I have ever met but I have seen her twice in the past 2 years (only because I dont get my hair done often) but both times she has not disappointed. The first cut was exactly what I wanted and the next appointment was a cut and color which left me in awe! If youre looking for a reliable hairstylist, give Josselyn a try. I have been going to Headwaves for my hair cut and color for 10 years now, and all I can say is Josselyn is absolutely wonderful! She is very talented and always has wonderful suggestions regarding style and color. It's been a month since I went in for a cut and color to cover my gray. I drive by this place all the time and could never get a appointment to fit my crazy schedule, but I finally did! As I mentioned in another review we relocated from Austin a few years ago and finding a good stylist is hard; especially when you have naturally curly hair like me. But I was very impressed with Josselyn and how good she made my hair look, even curly! I was hesitant to cut much off as I wanted to grow it long, but the result was worth it. It was my first time here. My hair was dry, breaking off, and just a nasty mess. I have natural curly hair so I'm always afraid to try someone new. I got the pleasure of scheduling with Jacque. She took the time to listen to my complaints about my hair. She brought my hair back to life and gave it meaning. She also took the time to blow dry it straight (at my request). Josselyn is great and friendly and super spunky! I noticed that she's on a first name basis with lots of her customers and she does amazing hair. I have tons of curly hair and most of the time stylists don't even want to bother with the styling part of it but she took her time and my hair looked so awesome when I left her shop. I had my hair colored and I got a trim and it wasn't any more expensive than any of the other nice salons that I've been to. I will definitely have my hair done by her again! read more

Love Josselyn Perez! She's been doing my hair for years now and I love that I trust her enough to actually step out of my comfort zone. I'm never disappointed. My color is a beautiful ombré and I've always had long bleached hair, Jacquelyn cut it above my shoulders and I love it!! Will probably never grow my hair out again the cut is so amazing.
