Highly recommend Alan for headshots. He was very accomodating and great in making me feel at ease during the shoot. He shot a variety of backgrounds, indoor and outdoor, employing various angles and lighting, and then offered me to select 30 retouched headshots, which were delivered within 24 hours. Alan was great! Very patient and fun. Love my headshots! Needed them for work and he did an awesome job! I will definitely be back. Got a lot of compliments on my pictures from my coworkers. Pics came out very professional with a natural look. Not your standard boring studio pics with fake smiles. He got the pictures ready next day. Contemporary executive headshots are now taken outdoors with the background blurred. That's what I wanted and Alan was able to deliver. Thank you Alan. I am very happy with how the pics came out! read more

Let's put it this way: I'm not photogenic but thank goodness, these are the best photos I've taken in a long time. I finally have professional photos I'm proud to put on my work website, LinkedIn, Facebook, Skype, publications, basically anything public and professional. In addition, I can't praise Alan enough for being so friendly, down-to-earth and generous with his time. He actually gave me several hundred photos to choose from and though I went over my quota of 30 selected, he graciously offered to fix them all for me. And let me tell you, the price was amazingly reasonable. I did not comparison shop for professional headshot studios, but I've done other personal photo shoots before and I really can't imagine something that looks this good being any cheaper. I found him through his stellar reviews on Yelp and was not disappointed. I was so thrilled with his work that even though he's about an hour away from where we were located, I pushed my husband to get his done for his business school and work-related photos. He was also so impressed that he also uses his shots everywhere (but does not have a Yelp account to add to Alan's many stars, although it doesn't look like he needs it!) Thanks so much Alan! If I ever return to LA and need to update my pics, I hope you're still around. read more

I had an appointment in just a couple of days. The camera usually hates me....like it wants me to die horribly along with all of my kin...but the photos Alan took turned out really great! I was dreading having to put a pic on my website but now I'm really happy to! You won't go wrong and the price is great, too. read more

Alan is simply the best. He goes above and beyond and captures your photo in the perfect light. You will become his main priority and he will work tirelessly on your photos until you're 110% satisfied. My session was in the afternoon and I received my photos by midnight. Also you will not find a better bargain in all of Los Angeles for the product you receive. In my opinion, he is way under priced. read more

I met with Alan to take some head-shots for business purposes. Not only does he have a friendly personality, he took some wonderful pictures of me. I would highly recommend his services to anyone who wants professional shots done. read more

Alan is extremely personable and a master at putting his clients at ease. His studio is modest and therefore, translates to savings for his customers. Don't be fooled! You get fantastic photos and professional treatment. He really has an amazing eye for light and shadows, and I'm extremely pleased with the outcome. Trust me. I'm not the kind of person that was made to be in front of a camera; I'm tense. Alan made the experience very comfortable and I highly recommend him. I'll definitely be back and absolutely recommend his work! read more

Needed professional pictures done for some headshots and Alan kept it easy and casual. His prices are great and there is essentially no work that needs to be done on your part. Scheduling is easy and my pictures came out great and were ready in no time. read more

Very glad I found Alan to do my headshot. He got the job done in under an hour but never felt like he was rushing. My mom and toddler came along and he was patient with them and even threw in a few shots of us. He was easy to communicate with via text, his price was reasonable, and was quick to send photos. Only thing is that if you care whether or not the top of your head is cut off, make sure to let him know ahead of time. Nevertheless, got some great shots. Thanks Alan! read more

Alan did a great job! I was looking for a great result at an affordable price and drove out to Alhambra from Van Nuys based on the Yelp reviews. He directs you as he is taking the photos. You wont get more for your money than you do with Alan. He gives you many edited high res photos (not just two like a lot of other companies) so that you can have options printed for different projects. He even honored my request to edit an additional photo that I needed later on. I will be taking my daughter for her photos when she comes to visit this summer, and I may even do more while Im there! Tip: Take a few full length and waist up photos as well. Actors Access requests these type of photos for their submissions. read more

Second time back to see Alan! This time I brought a friend who didn't want his pics taken and was super reluctant. Alan calmed him down and made him smile and feel comfortable. I hope my first review remains so you can see whatever I said first. But this second time I was just reminded of what makes Alan's pix shine and that's his enthusiasm and kindness towards the subject. Therefore the subject relaxes and the session goes down easy. And as I just said to my friend ~ it only takes one good pic to pay for this investment. Just one :) read more

I met Alan and he did a very good job. was really friendly and easy to follow instruction for the photos.

Alan is great. Shots were waaay better than the last ones i got for the same price. Was very professional but still down to earth and fun...not to mention funny. He took a lot of time with multiple backgrounds..some he chose, some i chose. I was very pleased and highly recommend him. I can't tell a difference in the quality of his shots vs the headshots of my friends who spent 3x as much. He is my photographer from here on out. read more

I wouldn't go anywhere else for headshots. I've come here twice so far (about a year and a half in between each shoot) and the photographer--Alan--is always so kind and fun to shoot with. Not only is he extremely talented, but he is also very kind and cares about you and your photos. Great place to get acting headshots for sure! read more

If you're feeling nervous about getting a good head shot, rest assured: Alan will take photos that you will love! Three things stood out to me about the experience. 1) Easy and quick process. Alan is very flexible in finding a time that will work for an appointment. His turn-around was extraordinary - I called him on Friday morning for an appointment, had the session Friday evening and received my photos Saturday evening. Amazing! His pricing is also very reasonable. 2) Enjoyable session. Alan is a very genial person and will find topics that help draw you out so you can be relaxed and natural in front of the camera. I genuinely enjoyed the session - and the photos are better as a result. 3) Great photos. I was hoping for one good head shot. I now have a half dozen shots that I really love. (New problem: I need to find more ways to use these great photos!) Alan will also let you look through the photos after the session to make sure you get copies of the photos you like best - and you know when you leave that you're getting the photos you want. Great experience all round - five stars! read more

I drove in from Riverside County and it was worth the drive. His pricing is very fair unlike other photographers that over charge for photos and editing. He gave us some helpful tips before starting, he was funny, friendly, reliable and had my photos on a timely matter. I'm very happy with my sons headshots .....very professional. If you are looking for a photographer I would recommend him and not waste your time looking anywhere else! Five stars for a job well done! read more

I loved how my real estate photos turned out with Alan! I am so not the girl who likes to take photographs as there are a lot of people who think that simply aiming the camera and snapping the shot is all one would need to achieve a good photo. That is not true! It takes a special technics and high attention to detail and care to take a beautiful photo and I must say, Alan has just that! I have received so many compliments on my business photos and he took hundreds of them!! I had so many wonderful shots to choose from, that I was completely overwhelmed! I have already referred some business to him and I will continue to do so! Thank you Alan! read more
