The one star I've put, is only for the stylist (Elaine)... The only good part of my experience.
On coming in the girl was actually quite abrasive and curt (short brown haired lady with specs), practically barked 'have an appointment and 'name'..she then walked away and bitched with her colleague in the back, I was not asked if I wanted a coffee, water, nothing just told to sit and wait. luckily brought a bottle of water with me. Zero customer service. At this point I'm already convinced I won't be returning. Maintenance men then came in and proceeded to slag off how the hotel hadn't employed a maintenance man yet - lovely for a customer to sit and watch. Another confusing thing- no hair magazines just very outdated women's magazines.
Seating area is tiny, chairs are squeezed in together, some even ripped. In a small town you'd think customer service would be spot on as they don't have as many customers you'd think they had the time... City hairdressers are FAR better and more versed in how to talk to customers and how customers should be treated. I was eventually made a cup of tea which my stylist eventually had to go and get for me after about 20 minutes of waiting for it. Again, awful service.
I'm then seated at the sink with my stylist, I warn her of a ski condition I have which means I need it to be treated a little more gently.. This was ignored. Other than that Elaine did a lovely cut and actually listened to what I wanted. She seemed like a lovely lady as well, just maybe should have taken my condition into consideration.
On leaving I was then stared at by lovely short haired spectacled lady (who I later found out is a stylist.. Thank god I didn't get her) with nothing said. Won't be going back. Should have listened to other people! read more
