It was my first time at ACL and well I wanted to be cool. I had heard about these e-cigs/vapors. It reminded me very much of a hookah, but portable. I love all the different flavors so I was very intrigued. My hotel was just down the street from this particular shop and they were going to have their soft opening Saturday morning. I figured I'd check it out and see what they had to offer. If I saw something I liked I'd have myself some fun at ACL!!! I stepped in a little before they were officially ready to open, but the owners/employees were nice enough to let me in and preview the joint. I ended up trying out a wide variety of flavors at their tasting station. They have tips so you can take it off and try as many flavors as you like before purchasing. I fell in love with the Space Jam - Astro. So I decided to go ahead and purchase one of their basic intro packages. They were having all kinds of specials the first day so I ended up getting another flavor too. The build out is very sleek. I could see myself just chilling in the back and studying while puffing on some Vapor.

She talked to me about some of the disposables and introduced me to a new brand. The prices were right in line with other vape shops in the area. I ended up buying a LuffBar disposable vape. An hour later, I noticed that it wasn't turning off properly after a puff, and it was starting to get very hot. I went back to the store, and the employee was very understanding, and said it was slightly defective and offered me a new one. It's working much better. The jury is still out on LuffBar, but based on my experience, I can recommend Smokies for their great customer service. It's not easy for a new business to give out free units, but it's necessary these days to compete with other stores, as customer service is so important in this market. Give Smokies a chance, and help them get off the ground running! I'll be back for sure.

After walking back in I noticed they had quick lighting coals next to the ones she offered me. She didn't know what they were nor was willing to read the box and just said she doesn't know what they are. No exchange/return and $5 credit card minimum, which is fine, but when it's due to the discretion of the employee that's unfair to the customer. **Update: below response from Owner is untrue. I bought a seal proof container less than two weeks ago and brought it in for either a refund or exchange or even store credit and they completely do not flex on their policy...even if they sell you equipment that doesn't and never worked. There need to be times when you flex with the customer, especially when you sold the poor quality product and represented it as seal proof. On top of me being direct but polite, the store manager decided to start an attitude with me, when I was being cordial about their product not working...not me breaking it. We are talking about a sealing jar...pretty basic mechanics. You all should have taken a stand but you didn't. You made an error.

On a defective product I had just bought an hour earlier. And to be clear I wasn't asking for money back, just a replacement that wasn't broken, and that was apparently too much to ask.. She's not on the hook, I guarantee you they have a return policy with the manufacturers, she just didn't want to be bothered. Guys in the shop were really nice and apologetic, unfortunately they appear to work for someone who doesn't care about her customers and is totally fine with selling customers defective products and keeping their money.
