It was nice and I was happy. I sent my daughter over for a manicure and she was charged $ 80.00 for a gel manicure. Included in this fee, is supposed to be a hand massage, which my daughter did NOT get. Unfortunately, one of the nails (on this regarded manicure-by Joan) came off either that same day or the next day. My daughter was very upset and called for an appointment to have the nail fixed. She was given an appointment with the woman who specializes in nails and this woman fixed her nail. The manicurist told my daughter that more of the nails were going to fall and she never should have had a gel manicure broker nails are too thin. My daughter was still upset because she paid $ 80.00 for what appeared to be a substandard manicure and called the salon again to complain-she felt she should not have been charged the full 80 dollars. She was told the owner would give her a call to discuss her concerns. This never happened-no one called her. I went back a few weeks later to get my hair done and I did not ask for a manicure. The hairdresser kept making comments about how great her manicures are. She must have given me this message 4-5 times. I didn't respond as it was obvious that she felt like she was right. Apparently, she is in the habit of giving gel manicures to people who shouldn't have them, not accepting any responsibility for a manicure that started falling apart within 24 hours all for the price of 80 dollars. No, I decided to write this review given the response of the hairdresser and the lack of response by the owner. Rather arrogant and egregious behaviour by both. I was happy with hair service, but not even that will get me to EVER go back.

I am happy to say that in this instance the transition was seamless. My stylist, Perry Villas, was wisely retained and continues to work wonders with my very abundant Mediterranean hair. He makes sure that my time at Rumors is relaxing - a get away from the pressures that engulf the demands of our time. The staff is also charming and willing to extend themselves to ensure a relaxing and pleasant spa experience. I highly recommend Rumors and should you be so fortunate , the services of Perry Villas.

It took 3.5 hours and I couldn't even get to the pedicure since they were closing in 10 minutes. Thankfully I called the very friendly staff and they provided a full refund. I'm sure their hair experience is much better but I just don't think they should offer nail services after my visit here.

They were originally located off of Rt 9 near a friend I was staying with in Cohoes, and they just happened to move to Malta where I was heading when my apartment finally became available. But I digress-),they were welcoming and I was so lucky to find a stylist on the first try who listened to me about what I wanted, how my hair reacts not only to certain styles but cutting methods (razor-cutting is popular but my hair is a cursed, demon-possessed thing if it's own like the snakes on Medusa and turns into just that ). Not only is the entire staff friendly and pleasurable to interact with, Kelly makes sure I am always happy with everything before I leave. Satisfaction guaranteed, if you get home and don't like it she'll fix it and work with you til you do. She (like her fellow colleagues I've seen with their clients) is knowledgeable and stays on the up-and-up in her skills-I love hearing about the seminars and events she goes to, mostly because I selfishly know it'll work in my favor . She has made great recommendations for my hair that actually worked, and introduced to me the magical (albeit probably witchcraft haha) hair semi-permanent defrizzing process that is a Brazilian Blowout. Anyway, I can't recommend them enough. They're a cozy, smaller group of stylists with great talents and amazing personality. It's almost like hanging out with your gal pals after a hard day at work- they even have wine . They have excellent customer service, whether it was working me in at the last minute because of family coming in from out of town or rescheduling because of my crazy work schedule at times, they have always tried to be accommodating and still friendly and nice about it-which anyone who has been in customer service knows is not the easiest thing to do, amiright?! Anyway, if you're looking for a stylist that makes you feel brand new when you leave instead of looking for a hat and someone else to fix it, I highly recommend the ladies at Nuance.

I was going to her prior to her opening her own place and it was a no brainer to follow her once she opened her new salon post-Lucca closing. Every cut and color is exactly what you want and it looks good. Jalena is also good about giving you advice about the look you're looking for so you can look your best coming out. The new place is very modern yet cozy inside and the attention is completely personal and you're not waiting forever between appointments inside.
