I called and spoke to Dan one of the owners, and he was just a great guy and genuine and open and that intrigued me, so I gave them a shot. They showed up with a two-person crew [Ricardo and Kayla], to perform a deep clean on my home. They were amazing. They took care of my home as if it was their own. When Kayla had to leave earlier than expected, one of the other owners, John showed up, and he jumped right in and really helped with my house. This shows really good character, which is most important, when you allow someone into your home. I was so impressed by their commitment, I decided to hire them for biweekly cleaning. Today was the first day. I had amazing results. Kayla, who was assigned here, is an unbelievably hard worker, and meticulous with what she does. On top of that, she's pleasant, and extremely polite. This service is not inexpensive. You pay for what you get. I've had a lot of people work on my house over the years, and it's rare when you find someone who takes pride in their work. This group wants to get it right. Hire them. You will not be disappointed.

Bright Homes was what seemed to be the most reasonable. Jessie came over, we discussed what needed to be done and gave him a $250 deposit with no mention of it being non-refundable either verbally or in writing. A few days before the scheduled date we found we were unable to have the work done on that date so we called to reschedule. At that time, we were told that there was and $85 rescheduling fee which was never discussed or disclosed either verbally and especially not in writing. After much back and forth, it was lowered to $55 and we rescheduled. 2 days before the scheduled date, I received a call and Jessie told me that they were having a special that would reduce to cost of the move by $25 if at least 50% of the cost was paid in advance. Something didn't sound right so we did not pay anything more. At that point, I should have cancelled but I unfortunately didn't. We were told that on the day of the move they would be at our old house at 9:30. A little before 10, since they hadn't arrived & I received no call, I called to see what was going on. Jessie told me that the job that they were on was running a little over but they were finishing up and would be with us in about 20 minutes. A little before 11, I called again and was told that they were on their way and would be there soon. A little before noon, I called and left a message that we would be going to file a police complaint for fraud. Just passed noon, I tried to call again several times but all I got was the Verizon message that "your call cannot be completed as dialed." At that point we decided that it was time for the police. While at the police station, I received a call from Jessie apologizing for not answering saying that there were in Lewiston finishing up the job and there was no cell service there. It might have been believable but the number has was calling from was different from the other he used earlier in the day. About 45 minutes later, the officer I was dealing with called the last number that I received a call from. Jessie answered and told the officer that they were in Lewiston but had just finished the job there and would be at our house in 20 minutes. He told the officer that we were previously scheduled (true) and that he worked with us when we had to reschedule (true but no mention of a rescheduling fee). I told the officer that under no circumstances did I want him anywhere near our house and wanted my deposit back. He told the officer that it was non-refundable. The officer told him he needed to see it in writing. Jessie offered $100. The officer told him it had to be a gesture of at least half, in cash at the precinct. Jessie again told the officer that they were still able to do the job and were on their way but I said no way. The $125 was delivered as promised but it was a business gesture not a settlement. In closing, AVOID this company even if they are the only option available. They are unreliable, consistently lie, think communication is unnecessary and should be either put out of business or arrested.

Cary (the owner) came in with the first of several estimates. Of the contractors I contacted, he best understood what I wanted. My house had rotting window frames, uneven bad-looking shake shingle siding that was long past the day I should have done something about it. A house down the street had the look I wanted, and Cary quoted me the price. I also asked about replacing my front and side doors. The siding color I wanted was a special order, so I had to wait a couple weeks for it to be made. It was well worth the wait. Lifetime supplied a brand called "Perfection" and it is truly perfect siding. The siding sections lock together in a way that I don't think even a hurricane would loosen them. All the rotted wood was replaced with Azek trim. The result is my 70-year-old run-down house now looks like a new build. The doors that leaked cold air during the winter are gone. I am very satisfied.
