This is a nice store with a good selection of new and vintage instruments. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. I am happy with the guitar amp I purchased last month for a competitive price . This month my main guitar is getting serviced so I rented a Yamaha Pacifica for a very reasonable price , here at Woodsong , which has turned out to be very playable with a nice action and feel. One of the best parts about living in Boulder is having stores like Woodsongs in the mix. I've been a resident here for almost 40 years and during that time my appreciation for the store, the quality instruments, the personal attention and interest shown by the staff has only grown by leaps and bounds. Many years ago when I wanted to rent a violin/fiddle and then later to purchase it, I never even considered having to travel far and wide (to Westminster, Denver) because Woodsongs had exactly what I wanted. And now, it is even better. Right here in Boulder; we have this amazing acoustic music shop! Over the years, my family and I have purchased guitars and ukuleles (and untold number of accessories) from Woodsongs and each time have been treated with caring regard by the staff; they know what a big deal it is to decide to bring a new instrument into your life. This is a great local music store. I've purchased two guitars here and sold three. The sales people are super friendly, helpful, not pushy and they carry a wide range of instruments for beginners to high end Taylors, Santa Cruz and Martin. I know the manager to be a quality guy with integrity, as are the sales staff. I couldn't recommend them more. I'd like to see more electronic gear like Robb's music had, but they can't do everything. We lost Robb's music to the Internet. Don't let that happen to HB Woodsongs. read more

My daughter is in 5th grade in BVSD, and we rented her violin from Woodsongs. Her violin is in excellent condition, and we were so grateful for the accessory bag (which contained everything she needed). We have also been very impressed with the customer service since renting her violin.
