The menu is bigger than it seems. Also has things at lunch. There's quite a lot to look through. It's about $4 for a coffee. The one I got was the Samoa Mocha. Get it cold or hot. This is made with caramel, coconut cream, and mocha. It's about $2 for baked items. They had vegan chocolate chip cookies from a local bakery, along with the usual things like croissants and muffins. Going here might be a challenge. It's busy and there's limited hours. They're closed Sundays and Mondays, only open for breakfast and lunch, and they close earlier Saturdays.

This is a combination antique store and coffee shop. Don't forget to look to the right as you order your coffee - there are some nice sweets in the display case - I enjoyed their chocolate covered cookie dough - yum! Since I don't do coffee, I had a good Root Beer Float. Very tasty! Lots of things to see - make sure you check out the basement as well, where more antiques and merchandise is hidden away. Take a moment to look at the window mouldings - they are impressive with crown, dental and other accents from the original church. They definitely make an outstanding Americano and for only a 1.50! While I was at the counter I overheard the locals talking about planting trees and high school sports. The shop owner asked me if I was from around here and when I said I was from Oklahoma, he told me about his trip down Route 66. Eventually, I told him I was a poet doing shows in the area and he got on the computer right then and ordered my books for the store! I snagged a book while I was there and left with my morning dose of small town charm. FYI, Dixon is Ronald Reagon's hometown + has a really pretty arch going into downtown. I wanted to write a review because I worked here for about a month before being suddenly fired…read more The owner is nice, but her husband, who manages everything, created a very uncomfortable work environment. He frequently brought up politics, demographics, and "statistics" at work in ways that felt inappropriate and often came across as biased. It wasn't the kind of environment I expected from a workplace. I personally chose not to engage with these conversations because I was there to work, and I try to keep my personal beliefs separate from my workplace. However, being repeatedly exposed to these types of comments from management made the environment feel unprofessional. I also noticed that he would tell us certain employees had quit, but after speaking with those employees, I learned that was not always what happened. This made me feel like there was a lack of honesty and transparency in how situations were handled. One comment that really stuck with me was when he told me and another young female employee that we'd be prettier if we spoke more intelligently and that men would like us more. We are both very young girls, and that comment was incredibly inappropriate and made us uncomfortable. I was also told that if I came in early every day, I would receive a $1 raise. I did exactly that, and I received the raise on my final paycheck. Just a few days later, I was fired. It was confusing to be recognized with a raise and then immediately let go without being given a meaningful explanation. I was told I was being fired because I supposedly had an attitude with a customer. When I asked what had happened, I wasn't given a clear explanation and was simply told they had decided not to continue my employment. I work hard, take my jobs seriously, and I rarely leave negative reviews because I know everyone is trying their best. I didn't contact them afterward because I felt I had already been treated disrespectfully. After the way I was spoken to and the lack of honest communication, I didn't feel another conversation would have changed anything. As a customer, I also found the food to be average, especially for the price. Before I even worked here, my mom and I had cheesecake from the café on a few different occasions, and every time it had a noticeable freezer-burn taste. For the prices they charge, I expected much better quality. Based on my experience as both an employee and a customer, I would encourage people to support another family-owned café instead.
