Come to find out that Mike is the stores owner, and we spent at least 15 minutes, maybe more, talking. Come to find out that he has family in Southern California where I reside. Never less, I purchased the credenza thru Express Furniture, and Mike guaranteed me that it would be properly protected for shipment, which was reassuring after reading about other reviews on the woes of shipping furniture. Mike even sent me the assembly instructions in advance, so I knew what needed to get me prepared. I am a small business owner, such as Mike at Express Furniture is. Most of the products they sell are made in the USA. The service here is simply spectacular. If I went looking for something to complain about I don't think I could find anything. Many other retailers, including big box stores and Amazon carry a select few of the same products, but provide a fraction of the service for a higher price. He knows the ins and outs of everything in there and made great recommendations for our house and situation! Very honest, asked how much we wanted to spend and stayed within those parameters. The gentleman that came out to measure was on time, very courteous and got it measured quickly and accurately so I could go and do what I needed to do that day! Scheduling installation was a breeze, we got scheduled much quicker than I expected! Nick and another gentleman came out to lay our carpet over the course of two different days. I cannot say enough good things about them! They are truly experts at what they do! They got our old carpet ripped up in lightening speed, new carpet laid precisely, cleaned up, very respectful of our house (left no messes, were very cautious of our walls and our furniture!) and just very nice! He came out and measured and explained everything they offer and gave me pamphlets. I received a very reasonable quote that day. When we ordered the awnings, we were given a lead time of several weeks and these guys were able to get the awnings and have them installed more than a week earlier than expected. The awnings are beautiful, high quality and exactly what we needed. I definitely recommend these guys for all your awning needs. (I know they offer more than just awnings, but I only used them for awnings.)

They are the best company I have ever hired for anything! Not only was their work top-notch but they were incredibly kind and respectful the entire time. None of the workers used foul language or left trash around our yard. They treated us like family. Plus, they came to discuss things with me throughout the process to ensure each step of the project was done exactly the way I wanted. I simply cannot say enough good things about these folks. I have used K Carpet for many, many years. I've known Mike Kanam for a long time and always was a…read moreloyal customer. Up until 6 years ago, I had always dealt with Mike. Never a problem. I have purchased a lot from this company. The last two times I've had to deal with Duke and I must say he sure doesn't act like he gives a darn. This time he was really rude. When I went to look at the carpet he starts pulling big sample boards down with one hand because he had something in his other hand and couldn't be bothered or interested enough to put it down. He didn't even try to help with which carpet would be the best for my needs. I should have walked out. But, dummy me went ahead and picked one. I told him that a couple of the rooms of carpet I bought from him 6 years ago had matted terribly so I hoped he would take that into consideration for pricing since I would be replacing one of those rooms plus the living room and dining room that they put down before. When he came to measure he looked at the matted carpet and said NOTHING. He could care less. When my carpet came in and the guys showed up to put it down, they asked if I was told this job would take 1.5 days and I said no, but that's OK. But they never left til after 6pm. They were tired having been here since early morning. I asked why they stayed and finished and I was told well, they have to be somewhere else the next day. So, the next day I'm looking over everything and sweeping and discover that the metal strip that goes across the bathroom doorway to cover where the carpet meets the vinyl tile wasn't put back, it was laying under the vanity. Understandable that it got missed, it was a long day. But I also noticed that the edge of 2 of the tiles had been chipped. I just paid a large sum of money to have that whole bathroom remodeled in the last year. I wasn't going to raise a big ruckus about it because the strip would cover it and probably be ok. I was probably being nicer about it than I should have been. But, the strip needs to be put back to protect the edge of those tiles. I sure don't want them chipping worse. I went to see Duke that day. I told him what I needed & he just stands there with a look like "Why are you bothering me." He said he'd get ahold of them to come and take care of it. Well, 8 days later I had to go back to the store since you can't get anybody to answer the phone. This time Mike was there. What a difference! Nice, welcoming smile and asks what he can help me with. I tell him what's going on and he said he'd get Duke. Mike comes back around the corner and says Duke will send them over to take care of it. Duke had been within ear shot of my conversation with Mike. He didn't have the courtesy to even come out and speak to me. No apology, nothing. Well, that was Wednesday morning and this is Friday evening. Haven't seen or heard from anybody. So, what do you think? My years of loyalty and spending my money with K Carpet are over. I guess I'll be going somewhere else to get the other 2 bedrooms, kitchen & master bath done.
