I was excited to know that if I miss that one during the week many of the same venders come here with a few other exciting venders too. They make great use of the fairgrounds for the winter market. When you come you can check out a lot of antique tools and machinery used back in the gold ol days. All the venders are happy to educate you on their products and how to use them. They have recently brought in a few more local organic farms as well. Please go and support our local farmers for your health and the well being of the birds, bees and live stock near us.

The vegies are organic, incredibly fresh, and beautiful! When lettuce was in season I often took a photo of the heads because they were so huge! I also adore the baked goods from the gluten and dairy free bakery. I can't make it out of the parking lot without trying their treats! They're amazing. Tree Berry Farm is near my in-laws, so it was a quick trip down the road. Thankfully, parking is in a grass lot off the main road, and you aren't expect to play Frogger with fast-moving cars on RR 123. There's lots of signage showing you where to park, where to pick up a bucket, and which sections are open for picking. Even at the height of blueberry picking, with lots of families around, there was still plenty of space to spread out, and lots of blueberries to go around! Jamie and I picked for about 15-20 minutes. If you're going to be there longer (i.e., if you have small kids), bring sunscreen and water! You pay at the same place you pick up (and return) your bucket. At $4 a pound, it can't be beat! We got about 2 pints worth of blueberries for that price. And the wonderful thing is, the flavor is far superior to that of the produce department at your local grocery store. They lasted a long time, too! For tourists and locals alike, blueberry picking is a must, and I can't recommend any place other than Tree Berry on the South Shore. It's the most organized and has the best blueberries anywhere!

After we had lunch, we ended up purchasing the following from the market side: FInger Kimbap, $6.99 prior to tax- Picked up these to bring with us tomorrow on a day trip to Springfield, MA. Shrimp Tempura Kimbap, $8.99 prior to tax- Picked up these to bring with us tomorrow on a day trip to Springfield, MA. Razor Clams, $22.34 prior to tax- Rarely have we seen razor clams sold in a market (the only other one we have seen them was at a T&T Supermarket in Washington). So we decided to purchase them, even though the price did seem more expensive. We ended up purchasing a little over a pound (it was $14.99 per pound). My husband cooked them back at our Airbnb and they were delicious. Live Lobster, $13.10 prior to tax- Price for live lobster is significantly cheaper than back home in Los Angeles so we knew we had to get one (the last time we were in Boston, we dined out for Lobster over a handful of times and also did purchase them from seafood markets). Lobster was only $7.99 per pound, we got close to 2 pounds. My husband also cooked this back at our Airbnb and the meat was nice and sweet. Pink Apple, $2.51 prior to tax- Ended up only purchasing 2 apples because the quality of fruit seemed to be rather sub par. ----------------------------- (Total= $55 after tax) When we were in the seafood department, we were able to get an employee's attention to help us. But we did see this one young guy just standing there waiting to see if any one would help him. I think at these places, you have to get the attention of the employees if you want to be helped since there was no number or ticket to get for someone to call you when its your turn. Also I was greatly disappointed with the quality of produce on this visit. A lot of the fruit was rather poor quality, looking like some of the fruit was too ripe. And some of the vegetables looked old. Overall, I think our shopping experience was good, just wished the produce was better. But the prices seemed to be pretty good in general and similar to what I have seen back home at our local H Mart. If I was local to this area, I would most likely be a regular here.

The prepared food, including the turkeys, are consistently wonderful, although I do tend to only buy turkey related products. We have not tried any of the Italian offerings. If you are in the area, or traveling to the Cape on route 3, take the time to swing off and give it a try. I think you will find it worth you time.
