All of the staff were professional and informative when I went in for my consultation. After my consultation I was concerned that certain information was not relayed correctly between my dentist and Dr. Murphy's office, but after calling I was extremely pleased when both offices went out of their way to communicate with each other and with me to ease my concerns and to ensure all information had been communicated. When I went in on surgery day everyone was very kind and respectful. I'm sure most people are nervous for oral surgery, so they were excellent at helping calm my anxieties. They were also excellent at communicating and repeatedly asked me if I had any questions or if I needed anything cleared up. Once they administered the anesthesia I fell asleep within 60 seconds, and woke up very shortly after my surgery. The surgery itself took less than 30 minutes, and I was in and out start to finish in 1 1/2 hrs. They called in my prescriptions to CVS during my surgery, so the prescriptions were all ready when my husband and I went to pick them following surgery. My recovery after surgery was shockingly easy. I followed all the instructions they gave me and I honestly had little to no pain in the days following. I had no bruising on my face at all and absolutely no swelling. About 5 days after the surgery I was having a weird pain on my lower left side and was concerned about dry socket. I called the office and they immediately got me in. They irrigated the holes and packed the side giving me trouble. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I went back 2 days later for them to take out the dressing. They asked if I'd had any more pain and I told them no, so they did not repack it. They made sure to let me know that if I did have pain again, to just call and they'd get me right back in. Fortunately I didn't have any additional pain or discomfort. My experience was so much better and easier than I could have ever imagined, and all of the staff, and especially the assistants were so nice, professional, and did a wonderful job. Dr. Murphy did an excellent job on my surgery, and I would absolutely recommend this office for oral surgery.

I had ONE lower wisdom tooth removed. I have a joint replacement. I requested an antibiotic because…read moreof the replacement. However, I was not given one. I called the office a few days afterwards on a Friday because the tooth did not seem to be healing correctly. I was dismissed by his assistant and told it was fine. As the weekend progressed my family members told me that by looking at my face it was not healing correctly. I called again on Monday and I was told to come in. Dr. told me I had an infection and to immediately start taking an antibiotic. I also had lockjaw! Dr. Murphy wanted to put me under anesthesia again and force the jaw open! I went to my regular dentist and my primary care doctor. They both said that sounded radical and to try other methods including P.T. I had success with P.T. however it took approx. 5 months to recover from this ONE wisdom tooth ordeal! I DO NOT recommend this doctor! This could have been avoided by giving me an antibiotic after pulling tooth and his staff did not give me the attention when I called to report there was a problem.

The first impression a patoent has. I should have turned around and left based solely on her. She did not acknowledge me until I said hello. Was busy chit chatting with another staff member. Even then she did not bother to look up from the computer and make eye contact or welcome me. She asked for information that had already been provided and it wasn't until I said they already had it did she bother to look in the file. Additionally, she was also rude when I asked if this is where I checked out. Said "where else would it be". Not that any staff member gave us a tour or directed us to the checkout area when the appointment was finished. I was not provided with pre appointment instructions. Did not receive any advanced paperwork or phone call. I did ask upon arriving if our appointment was today because I did mot receive a call in advance or any instructions. The response was "We do not call out. It is your responsibility to know when your appointment is". The Doctor was upset that steps had not been followed prior to appointment. As a result not all pain options were an option. Post appointment and after speaking with several other medical professionals as well as another oral surgeons office, it quickly became apparent that I was lied to. My son was put through unnecessary pain and trama as a result. All options should have been made available. My child begged me not to take him back. Cried because I did not stand up for him when he said he was in pain. Looking back I should have advocated for him. I didn't realize that he actually was in pain. I thought he was just scared. First oral surgery and being a child, or any age for that matter, I trusted the Doctor to do what was in my child's best interest and to reassure me that he was okay and not in pain. Do your research. Don't take a referral from another Doctor at face value. Ask questions. Find out if they have personally used them. If they would take their family to them. My referral came from an office who did not know them. Their staff was applaud at the way we were treated and apologized profusely. Please don't let this happen to you or anyone you love.

In hindsight, I should have listened to the poor reviews. Don't make my mistake, read this FIRST…read more I went on the Aspen website early one morning in dire need of an emergency appointment for a broken tooth. The pain kept me up all night, I was desperate. I set the appointment for later in the day at a further location than I would have liked so I didn't miss work. It was an hour drive from my job, 30 from home. They called me that morning to change it for earlier. Said it was either that or a different day. Since it was a Thursday and they were booked Friday, I had no choice. The appointment was fine and the Doctor did treat an infection in the tooth. They gave me an estimate for a root canal and crown. $1600. They offered their crazy high interest financing (35%) but, since it was near the end of the year and I could load the total on my FSA card AAAAND the girl said the estimate was good for 90 days ( google it- it is a thing) I thought " perfect! Ill schedule at the beginning of January when my card reloaded." Also- the surgeon only comes to the Strongsville location once a month. I called for the appointment in January and to my surprise they added $800 to my total!! The prices went up she said. But I had a 90 day guaranteed estimate!! Nope. The price hike invalidated it. But hey, I can use that high interest financing which would cost me an additional $875.00 Forget that! I luckily found a private practice that took me and took care of the issue for less than the initial estimate from Aspen. In a dire emergency, like if you need a infected tooth treated, and cant find anywhere else, (like seriously, TRY )fine. BUT keep in mind they only have a surgeon once a month, all services must be paid for on the spot, OR use that crazy high financing. And a guarantee means NOTHING here.
