Today we visited Spider Lake Ranch for the first time and had the best time we have ever had! Their property is immaculate, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the horses were healthy, happy and very well trained. The ranch we used to go to had very narrow trails full of branches and prickly vines, the trails were sometimes very steep and rocky, and it was stressful and dangerous. Here the trails are super wide, well groomed and flat. They were very safe and easy to ride on. Most of the ride is in the shady woods, so if you're worried about the heat and sun it wasn't a concern at all. The bugs and horse flies were also not a problem. They actually sprayed the horses before we left! I have never seen horses that were so well behaved and easy to ride. We even had two young boys in our group who have only ridden once before and they did great. We cannot recommend this ranch enough. The owners and staff were so nice and their horses and property were impeccably maintained. We had a really great time. Be sure to trip them generously because we also felt like this was a great value for the money. The ride was more scenic and longer in duration than we expected. We will be back again next summer!

My husband and I took our 9 year old granddaughter here to go riding we were still in the stables…read morewaiting for people to load their horses,and the horse next to my granddaughter bucked the rider off. My granddaughter was so freaked out after that, she was crying and very upset she did not want to be on the horse at that point so we decided we were not go on the ride. Seeing that happen was very traumatic for her as well as us too not to mention it would not have been enjoyable for her anymore. The owner refused to give us our money back! I understand they have a policy which we signed but I'm sure its not everyday someone gets bucked off their horse! They are not even worthy of 1 star because of how insensitive the owner was in this situation.

I started going to camp there when I was 11 and I loved every second of my 5 years as a camper. Gabe, Erin, and Barbara really know how to make every girl feel good about themselves and provide a place where girls can make friendships that really do last a lifetime. After being a camper, I chose to go back as a counselor as well and that was yet another great experience. Their staff training did not only teach me important counseling skills, it taught me life skills that I have continued to use as an adult. The staff are well prepared to take care of the girls that spend their summer there every year. BT changed my life and I could not be more grateful for such a wonderful, unique, and special place. I made friends there when I was a camper that are still my best friends today. It is an experience that every girl should have a chance to have.

The condo we booked was very spacious, well-appointed and had all the comforts of home. Every need was anticipated and met. A sliding door led to the patio which was steps to a private dock with electric for our boat and views of the beautiful and tranquil bay on Round Lake. Enjoyed daily fishing and morning coffee sitting on the bench at the end of the dock-serene. We hope to return soon!
