Use of the grounds, your own private dock, a row boat and paddle boat are at your disposal. Very scenic, extremely clean. I would totally suggest staying here. It is a wonderful place to vacation and close to everything in town. The people who run the lodge are unbelievably nice and accomodating. I look forward to staying here again with my family. Since there is only one cabin, they book quickly for the summer months and I'm pretty sure they do not accept credit cards.

I am writing this review as I sit here overlooking the lake from the living room of the cabin…read morethrough the wall to wall row of windows. Every visit to Stone Hill just gets better and better! Since my last review my family has grown and now my toddlers (2 and 3 years older) are along for the week. We have spent each day fishing, going down to the beach, visiting with Helen - the amazing lady that owns Stone Hill Resort - and playing on the playground with the children. The beach and sandy entry to the lake is AWESOME for the kids and the shape and turn of the dock makes a natural swimming area that has a max depth of about 16" making it a PERFECT way to introduce the toddlers to the lake and swimming in it (while you can keep them in an area that is fairly controlled for safety). Stone Hill has a pontoon boat that you can rent for the week (well worth it and SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than the in-town rental options). Each cabin unit comes with an aluminum fishing boat. Since I last reviewed Stone Hill they have added direct tv and wifi. It is done in a nice way with nothing rustic being taken away but instead supplemented with these additions. This is the singe BEST vacation rental option in northern Wisconsin, still a slice of old Hayward, WI Resort history and an amazing 5 star experience every time I come.
