We are a group of three couples, with the addition of one adult son. We stayed in "Musky" after having stayed at another resort for the last two years. All had been going to the area for years. The cottage is spacious, comfortable, immaculate and features central air. They even clean the range hood filter every changeover. The cottage overlooks the lake, is convenient to the brick pathway (wide and very smooth) to the dock. The dock is brand new this year and is aluminum with a metal, non-slip surface. It has plenty of room for privately-owned boats as well as their two rental pontoons and 5 new 16' Alumacraft rental boats powered by 75 HP Yamaha outboards and equipped with dual Humminbird locators, and Minnkota I-Pilot trolling motors. All top shelf. The grounds are well maintained and the lodge features their unique ice cream bar as well as a liquor bar, where they offer a limited variety of food options. The hosts, Barb and Pete were great hosts, which was obvious from the beginning - making sure to check on how everything was and always being available to take care of any questions or issues. The only drawback was the lack of a beach for those with mobility issues who want to wade or swim. There is a ladder from the pier, and there is a nice shallow area to play in the water. It was the absence of a place for gradual, gentle entry into the water that was the one thing that kept me from giving 5 stars, and is a factor that people with such needs should be aware of. A great stay. read more
