Due to the height of the ceilings, Mike and his crew had to assemble scaffolding in my home. He took extra care and precaution to ensure that the hardwood floors weren't scratched. Mike was also extremely communicative and easy to work with throughout the process and explained everything he had to due to ensure the job was done to code. In just one week's time, the wiring, sheet rock repair, painting, and hanging of our three chandeliers was complete. Mike took the time to make sure our living room was completely covered in plastic before starting the job. He did minimal cutting of the dry wall to run the wires. He updated the switch to include the controls for the ceiling fan. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. We are very happy with his work and would definitely hire him again! He did not patch the drywall, but he told us ahead of time that he does not generally do that. My husband is capable in completing this work so it was not a big deal for us. His prices are extremely reasonable and he was able to come on the day we needed him. We plan on hiring him to do more work very soon.

He had to replace the thermostat, as well as replace a water pump in the furnace. He was able to replace the thermostat the first day and returned the following day to replace the pump part. I was really anxious, wondering if it would all come together. He came through for us, and his assistant was also very nice. I was charged for two visits because of the need for parts and his schedule, but the price seemed fair and Ron got the job done without trying to upsell anything. We were very appreciative!

He's also kind of up with technology so I was able to e-mail him pictures and questions. My furnace was not working so I called around to a couple different places. I was a little hesitant to go with Heating Experts because this company had one of the higher minimum trip fees. However, the good reviews made me choose Ron in the end. Ultimately, it was a good decision. Ron replaced the ceramic piece on the ignition instead of replacing the entire part. This saved quite a bit of money. Only minor thing was that he showed up a bit later than expected. I'm probably living on the edge of where he normally drives to.

Gayle and I pulled up to the house to witness a water leak bubbling up through the sidewalk. We immediately called EBMUD and when the guy eventually showed up, we were informed that the line between their Main an the house had a leak. In other words, this was the home owner's responsibility. This situation and a broken sewer line are 2 key repair items most home owners dread. I immediate called Glen Larsen (and Juan), my long time handy persons, who quickly confirmed the diagnosis and recommended Bart McCoy as the guy who could fix it. Bart picked up the phone immediately and clearly, calmly, and factually led me through the possibilities and the options. As it turned out, I had an old galvanized line that had to be completely replaced with copper (per code). It wasn't cheap, but you can't not have water in the house. Bart came out the next day and we had water in the house by the late afternoon. He also tested everything inside to make sure it all worked. In addition, the concrete was expertly replaced, my landscaping was untouched, and the water valves were upgraded. I also appreciated that he did what he said he was going to do and when. And that's a great value for my money. I also feel a lot better about that sewer line that will eventually need to be replaced... For payment, Bart will accept a check or Paypal. He'll also lower the price if you pay cash immediately upon completion of the job.

I told him my problem and he suggested I send him a couple of photos. He said he'd review the photos and let me know if he saw anything that gave him pause. In the meantime, he said we should set a time, which we did - 10am the following morning. Bart called me 10 minutes before he was supposed to arrive, said he'd been working until 2am the night before, and that on top of that there were some things in the photos that gave him pause. I'd already rearranged my schedule to work from home and was depending on him to be here (there's more rain on the way and my basement is already flooded). I said, "Are you telling me you're not coming by?" I'm sure there was irritation in my voice. Bart said he didn't like my tone, and because of that, in fact, he wasn't coming by. Then he hung up on me. Simple as that. I called Bebe from Bebe Construction instead (also listed here on Yelp!) and he came by in just over an hour and completed the job in under 2 hours. If you're reading this review looking for someone who can replace your sump pump for a reasonable rate, on budget and ahead of time, I'd go with Bebe, not Bart.
