This Marina is not being taken care of and I didn't feel welcomed and don't recommend putting your boat at this marina.

May, 23, 2016…read more Here I am again at Dredge Harbor Marina in Delran, NJ.. I didn't buy a new boat this year ( 2016) and I normally get one from Dredge in March. I didn't want to let them down so I traded today and bought another boat. I traded my 2003 Bayliner 1950 Capri Bowrider for a 2012 Harris Pontoon Boat ( cruiser FX200 ) fishing style with a 90 HP Mercury 4 stroke MPI fuel injection. Wow, what a boat...The engine is sooooo quiet and the boat runs so smoothly..As usual, I made the deal with Mike Fortu ( General Sales Manager ). He treats me like family and I picked out the boat this morning around 11AM and it was cleaned, sea trialed and ready to go by 4 PM...I have never been in any marina where they were able to do all that in just a few hours. Thanks to Billy the owner, who even helped his staff clean the boat and get it ready for me. How often do you see an owner cleaning a boat for a customer..Kudos to Billy and his staff. There service department is one of the best I have ever seen. Their mechanics are the most knowledgeable in the tri-state area..Jack, who is the parts department manager always seems to have the bayliner parts IN STOCK almost all the time. If it is not there, he has it the next day...Kudos to Jack... I can't thank Billy enough for the fantastic service he provides for me with every single boat I have bought from him. I have purchased at least 7 of them in the past two years. They must be doing something right if I keep coming back and also recommending them to all my boater friends.. Capt. "To clean out the bed of an area of water by scooping out mud, weeds, and rubbish with a dredge." Yuck! Not very appealing... Dredge Harbor Marina, however, was a very welcoming and pleasant surprise. It's located in a very unassuming, small town USA. Dredge Harbor empties into the Delaware River. We had a great afternoon on our SUP exploring the area where the boats docked and even making our way near the Delaware. There was a bit of boat traffic and jet skiers in the River, so it was a bit too daunting for me to actually go into the River. Dredge Harbor was a nice change of pace compared to going to the Jersey Shore to SUP.

You be the judge:…read more Dropped my Yamaha 2.5 outboard off on July 3rd 2020. The motor was running rough and not peeing. They said they needed to replace the carb and said a new carb was close to $225. I found one online for $125. They replaced the carb - three bolts and two rubber hoses and charged me $340 after a cash discount. I think we can all agree that is steep. At that point, If the motor was running well I was fine with the $340. I took the motor out that day and the motor was running but was not peeing - just as the same as when I dropped it off. How do you not notice the motor not peeing when you test run it? I brought it back to the shop the next day and there it sat until 9/15. After three weeks of no call or heads up, I called and was told it would be done next week on 3 separate weeks. Unless, they didn't answer the phone which was often. My motor was sitting in the same spot as where I dropped it off. 2.5 months - I spent $340 just to replace the carb and still have a non working outboard motor. There is a legit 10 min YouTube video on how to replace the carb for this model yet a mechanic took two hours to do it per their rate per hour. Plus an hour just to inspect it. This is probably top 3 worst "professional" service I have ever received in my life. This place is a dump and a rip off.

I had to re-power a 17ft. straight inboard, using a Merc. 3.0 instead of the original Mitsubishi. Lou worked with me to get the new motor and then repaired and reconfigured the engine mounting beds. With a new motor, the exhaust, cooler, strainer, etc. all had to be reconfigures within a tight space. Like anything marine, the work expanded significantly, but A to Z stayed right in there. We had to order a new shaft at the last moment, sourcing it on short notice had to be one of the highlights of this process. I was back on the water in time for my vacation! Thanks Lou and Jeanne.

August 21, 2024…read more I just want to mention how much I like dealing with East Coast Cycle Center in Bensalem, Pa. I purchased a new 2023 Can-Am Spyder RT Sea to Sky. It is their top of the line reverse trike. I dealt with Mike ( Sales Manager ) and had a wonderful experience, as usual. I have purchased 6 trikes from them over the years. I keep going back because of the great service and parts department. Anything I need they will have in just a few days if not in stock. I went there today and told them that the shock that holds up the drivers seat doesn't work. It keeps falling down. The service dept said they will order the part and will install it when it comes in a few days from today. That is what I consider good service and great customer relations. When I purchased the trike Mike gave me a free drivers backrest at no charge to close the deal. That's worth $359 plus installation. The backrest arrived 4 days later and they installed it immediately. A couple months later I noticed that the right front black inner fender broke off at the lower joint. They ordered the part and again it arrive a few days later. They initial charge was $277 for the labor. It might have happened as a road hazard where something hit it, but I don't know. Mike spoke to the service department and they didn't charge me anything. I will always buy from them and recommend them to anyone who is interested in a Can-Am Spyder or any other vehicle they sell. Kudos to the owner, sales staff, service department and parts. They are the best. Gordon L. Delanco, NJ.

Having kept my boat at two other marinas over the past ten years, I must say that I have never experienced such a succession of negative encounters and poor service as I experienced at Winter's. I should first say that Brandy, who works in the office and most of the boatyard staff, all really try to be helpful, but Brandy is without authority and the boatyard people are poorly managed. Brandy apologized for several lapses, and explained that the team that fulfills her work orders actually reports to someone at Riverside Marina, and Brandy has no influence in getting work done for her customers. The management people at Winter's, and at Riverside Marina (also owned by Glenn Winter) are shockingly uninterested in their marina customers. Clearly, the sale of new boats is far more lucrative and thus more important to them. As a result, the facilities are poorly maintained, and requests for repairs are ignored. I should have known that this marina was not first class when I realized that they don't even have finger piers between slips. Each owner must build his own ramp from the dock to the boat to board. I've never seen this in any other area marina. Many slips are unusable and a surprising number were never filled during the boating season. I do not know whether it is true or not, but Winter's looks like a business that is not expecting to be around for too much longer. Some other examples: When I docked the first time, I attempted to wash my boat and found that the faucet did not work. My neighbor in the next slip said that he had been asking for his to be repaired for the past 6 years, and finally gave up, borrowing the faucet from the other side of the dock, thus running his hose across the route of other people with boats farther along the dock. I also observed that the entire dock was covered with Canada Goose feces, to the point where you couldn't avoid them walking on the dock. I reported both of these conditions to Glenn Winter, who responded by saying that he expects customers to clean the docks themselves, and that I should use the faucet from accross the dock, since fixing the defective ones is not a priority for him. I also had problems with delays in splashing my boat, even though I had reserved time well in advance. The evening before my scheduled splash, I got an e-mail telling me that "technical difficulties" necessitated a delay of a week, since they scheduled all launchings for a single day of the weak for resource reasons. In conversations with other boat owners and boatyard staff, I learned that my experiences were common. When I told one neighbor that I intended to talk to Mr. Winter, he advised me not to bother. As he put it, "The fish rots from the head." How true, how sad. I waited until I left Winter's Sailing Center to post this. I hope it will save other boaters from having to face the same problems I faced.
