fab little pub in the village of haslington located on the main road between crewe and sandbach (bypassing the bypass!!)
from the outside it looks as quaint and old as it does on the inside! black and white timber, walls leaning in all different directions and the smallest front door to get in through! really a lovely little place - it oozes history and there is rumoured to be a couple of resident ghosts although there havent been any appearances when i've visited!
such a great atmosphere in here whether its packed to the rafters or even just you and the barman - real open fires and lots of little booth alcove type places to sit along with your little tables and tiny stools!! small bar and really low ceilings but this all adds to the feel of the place. they do nice beers and ales and at lunchtimes there is a small menu to choose from. the portions are pretty hefty and you definately wont want to be leaving in a hurry after a nice drink, a good feed and sat by a roaring fire! read more
