Lots of cool Greer souvenirs, and of course, everything for the fisherman. Best of all, these are friendly people who are as likely to sit down and visit with you as they are to sell you something. Everything you would hope to find in a small-town business. I've been patronizing this store through its various iterations for 50+ years, and can promise that you haven't really seen Greer if you don't stop here for a Coke and an ice cream sandwich!

Think you have to get your pub sorted and maybe give your staff some tips on good hygiene. How about a sign outside saying you don't serve food anymore? Do not go here if your are in crewe ! Very nice pub grub…read more Located a bit out of the way so you'd have to drive to it, certainly making it more of an 'eating' pub than a drinking pub, although it does also have a good range of real ales, and some slightly obscure spirits. The food is all freshly prepared, and this is obvious through the taste. The staff are very welcoming, and happy to explain what comes with any of the meals on the menu. There is also one memeber of staff who in the past used to be able to recommend a good wine without just about any meal, regardless of what each of your tabe were eating. I don't know if he still works there though.

The bar area is quiet and comforting, and again service is quick, so you're not sitting abut waiting to eat, or get a drink. The fish tank in the resturant makes a brilliant feature, and occupies your eyes whilst waiting for food. There are different specials everyday, but the core menu is worth going back for time and again. The new conservatory adds a lovely summer room, and there is a lovely selection of real ales and spirits.
