A "heads-up" FYI: I respectfully request that any prospective reader of this post shall please choose to keep in mind that one typical aspect of what may be part of my Italian heritage, of which I am extremely proud, may be a unique brand of effusiveness. Like many of my family members for the past centuries, I am fond of being vibrantly expressive when I feel good about something. The exceptionally positive feedback in response to the Five(5)-Plus Star quality service that recently had been provided to me by Hawk Chevy Cadillac in Joliet, and that I submit presently, seems to call to mind a concept or phenomenon (connected somewhere in the realm of my consciousness or subconscious) that proverbially is referred to as déjà vu. Simply stated, I would like to affirm the point that without question I gladly encounter familiar "highly ethical servicing values," such as promptness, courtesy, conscientiousness, efficiency, accuracy, compatibility, and, most importantly, integrity at the Hawk Chevy Cadillac dealership in Joliet...over and over again. Often, I have heard other people remark that perhaps a masterful painting, a few truly memorable piano concertos, a legendary sports statistic, crown jewels, chocolate, autumn breezes, etc. may be "perfect"--yet seldom, if ever, have I reminisced that such an adjective genuinely could be applied to interpersonal business interactions and/or relationships in organizations, companies, or corporate entities. On the contrary, more often than otherwise, such communications frequently are labeled "above average" at best or "disappointingly flawed" at worst. I could expound on a myriad of examples regarding skills; I might create a litany of impressionable features: or I might talk on the phone for twenty minutes, resonating my ongoing delight with the Five(5)-Plus Star perfect service training, as well as the perfect service accessibility/provision, both of which are admirably extended at Hawk Chevy Cadillac in Joliet. However, I will opt to "make plain" the fact that, God willing, the expectations that I foresee which Hawk Chevy Cadillac in Joliet exceed at the moment of this writing shall not alter or falter in either the near or distant future. A concluding remark: an erudite yet tremendously practical genius, the late Dr. Stephen R. Covey, author of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People decades gone by, no doubt is beaming up in heaven if he happens to be watching over the Hawk Chevy Cadillac agency in Joliet. Yes, I suppose that this conclusion is "a bit" (!) over the top. Oh well. When it comes to the reality that the vehicle I drive is continually being serviced so professionally, I would prefer to exude enthusiasm (rather than simply replying in a blasé manner) when responding to what are obviously and unequivocally superior results. read more

Horrible dealership! I don't recommend anyone purchase a car here. I never left a review before, but what happen today is far more negative!! It was already 8pm when my wife and me arrived the dealership. So we really want to make a deal quick. The car looked nice, and since we have bought a car from Chevrolet before, so we really trust this brand. I was thinking about leasing it for 36 months without down. The sales was a nice guy, after he checked with his manager, he brought us a monthly payment number about $399 including tax & fee. We thought it might be ok, but based on the MF and residual provided by the sales, the number should be a little bit lower. The sales went back to his manager to check if it's still possible to get a better number. However, however, the most dramatic scene began after he turned back. He said the $399 is not including tax!!! What? Something wrong with my ears? He told me it was $399 including tax before, but then the same number became without tax, which means I have to pay about $440 after tax. I ask for the details from computer calculation, but he said he doesn't have it. But I was curious what did they based on to make the number changed that much. I told him if we could talk to the manager. The manager just pass by at that moment and what was even more unbelievable that the manager was so rudely tell us he doesn't want to talk coz it is already 9:30 he need to close. I still tried to asked him nicely what was really going on. He said without $600 monthly payment I couldn't get that car!!! I was totally shocked, even $399 plus tax is still less than $450, where did $600 come out? I told him the tax could not possible at $200 per month which was 50% of the monthly payment. He said it just what it is and if you don't want to pay $600 you must go. And he threw me and my wife out of the door. BTW, my wife is pregnant, we just want a second car with more space for the baby. I don't know what really happened to the numbers, why it changed so dramatically during that half an hour. And the more unbelievable thing is why the manager who's about 50 years old white male was so rude, so ridicules? If he got any mistakes with calculation we can understand. He can just explain he was wrong and give us a fair number to make the deal. His attitude was so horrible, never felt sorry about his mistakes and even pushed us away. Or maybe that how they play the game, fishing you with a lower number to let you agree the deal first, but then add a significant amount at the final payment. It really doesn't matter we couldn't make the deal. But his behavior and the service of this dealership make me will never ever go back to this dealer again and even question about if I should still consider Chevrolet then. read more

I have read many reviews regarding Hawk Chevy. I am surprised by all the negative that I see. I must say I started working with Hawk Chevy in September 2013 when we purchased our 2013 Malibu LS Which is an amazing Vehicle I must say!!!! We Worked with Rocco who was absolutely amazing. I must also say that the rest of the staff over at Hawk are just as amazing!! Very nice / always very helpful any time we have gone in for service etc. My most recent experiences with Hawk was for the purchase of my 2014 Sonic LT & My Daughters 2015 Sonic Lt of which we had the pleasure of working with Johnny Dakic. (AKA - Ace) (as Rocco was not in). The purchases were just recently made at the of beginning of May of 2015, Johnny was very informative, helpful & straight forward, My kinda sales person. No Gimmick/ Pitches. I am a no nonsense kinda girl and also in sales ..... not an easy sell :). Johnny went above & beyond to get us the best deal on both vehicles. My daughter is 20 yrs old and also went to Johnny for the purchase of her First New Vehicle. She was very nervous initially. Johnny went above & beyond to help walk her through the process / eased her mind and was extremely thorough in explaining the processes. Thank you Johnny!!!! Word of Mouth is everything in the Business/ Sales world. I will continue to give you kind words/ praise & pass your business card along where ever I can. I also want to thank Edyta Suszko (Customer Relations Manager) Every time I see her she is smiling / happy. Extremely Poor Service - Dishonest and Unprofessional! I had an extremely frustrating experience with Advantage Chevrolet of Bridgeview. I took my commercial work vehicle in for an A/C issue on March 24, 2025, and the $200 diagnostic fee was required. Despite having already replaced the compressor and refilled the Freon, they told me the Freon was "contaminated" and needed to be drained and refilled for an additional $600, assuring me that this would fix the issue. The next day, they claimed the problem was actually with the valve--something they had failed to check earlier. When I questioned why the compressor wasn't properly checked from the start, I received no clear explanation. After more delays, they changed their diagnosis again, claiming that the compressor was the real issue and quoted me $1,300 more to fix it. Frustrated, I decided not to proceed with further repairs, only for them to refuse to release my vehicle unless I paid $800, essentially holding my car hostage. I had no choice but to pay a total of $1,900, and while the A/C was eventually repaired, the entire experience was a waste of time, money, and energy. Their lack of expertise, poor communication, and constant misdiagnosis caused me to lose valuable days of work, as this is a commercial vehicle. I would NOT recommend this service center to anyone. They are dishonest, unprofessional, and only interested in making money at the expense of customers. read more

Bought a used car 23 days ago. The alternator broke down right after 700 miles. They called me saying they have windshield viper blades for me after a week or two. I live an hour away with traffic. They could've given it to me right there, but they didn't. The car's undercarriage is rusted throughout. I think they used the fact that I'm not familiar with cars and the fact it was my first time purchase. But i have to say they kept saying the car is sold as is the whole time(probably like 100 times). The guy in the financing room was intimidating. He didn't smile or like anything. He was unsympathetic. After they sent me to the financing department, they just completely forgot about me, and no one even bothered to say their farewells. After everything got done. The license plate screw was stuck, so they just sent me home with a license plate attached with one screw. I asked them if i could borrow pliers, and they blew me off and said there were no mechanics. I had to drive home with a license plate hanging on one screw. By the way, beware they will post some cars that don't run, like broken transmission and stuff like that. But when you call them they say it's available and they don't mention that it doesn't run. They just try to get you there. read more

We purchased our New 2014 Chevy Equinox and was very happy, my salesman was Konstantinos and he made it a pleasure to buy a vehicle. He was honest and so down to earth. Also, the finance manager (Luke) was very personable and funny which you don't see too much anymore. I searched for over three weeks and went on wild goose chases, some dealerships quoted me prices and sent me price on vehicles and when I got there they didn't have the vehicle or couldn't find the vehicle. As a person that is battling cancer this was hard to do. I got so mad what these dealerships where doing and almost gave up. I thought thats it I'll just get my old vehicle repaired, I even brought it to a Auto Body Shop and its getting a face lift. I got home and remembered that Hawk was building a new dealership on Harlem and I looked it up and seen that they had a website and they were open. I seen the 2014 Equinox LTZ and inquired about it. They called me and gave me a great price quot and when I got there they actually had the vehicle unlike many other dealers. The staff at Hawk Chevrolet in Harlem are a phenomenal team- the best we've ever experienced. Nadar was our salesman and he was patient, kind, and efficient. He took his time in explaining all of our options to us and was thorough in every way. He gave us several tips in our downtime as we waited for the finance department, and made the entire experience enjoyable because his concern felt sincere. He was honest in telling us he is new to the world of being a car salesman, but we were thankful we got to work with him because he made every step of the sale comfortable and relaxed. Edyta was also great; she was pleasant and did an excellent job explaining. Ken was a wonderful support along the way and made sure our time and efforts driving out to Harlem were respected and appreciated. We were beyond impressed with his kindness to accommodate us. I was hanging on to my old car for quite awhile just because I haaaaate the amount of time it takes to buy a new one and all of the haggling you have to go through. So when we decided to just do it we came to Hawk first. My husband has purchased 3 cars here and promised it would be haggle free. It was! My salesperson, Dumitru, took care of us and did not pressure us in any way. Gave us straight prices, didn't sit around haggling with us, was very accommodating, and I never got the impression that he would be upset if we decided to walk away. (I've had that experience before.) We went for a test drive and the price was right so I signed on the line and went home in a beautiful new car. I've received numerous follow-ups making sure I'm happy with my car and when I told Dumitru about some spots I noticed he asked me to bring it in and waxed them off for me. No questions asked - no problem. It has been a wonderful experience and I'm sure that we will be back to upgrade in a few years. They do a great job at Hawk Chevrolet all around, in all departments. Love this place! We purchased our new 2015 Chevy Cruze with the help of David Kolendo. He was phenomenal! He greeted us with enthusiasm. During the test drive, he explained how everything worked and showed us all of the features on the car. David explained everything, answered all of our questions, and never once pressured us into getting something we did not want. Everything went smoothly and fast. David was a true professional. He knew everything that we wanted to know about the car. The staff and managers there are very friendly. Jorge Soria, one of the managers, stopped to say hi and see if we had any questions. In finance, Martino explained everything to us and answered any questions that we had. Edyta Suszko, in customer relations, explained everything about OnStar and the Sirius radio. What an Awesome experience!!! I work for the largest payroll company in the US, so I am fully aware of what Great Customer Service looks like. I originally had an appointment with another Rep, but she was unavailable and Marcin Gacek stepped in. That was truly a blessing in disguise. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He made me feel very comfortable during the decision making process, without any added pressure. Especially, since I did not walk in the door with the real expectation of buying a car that day. Marcin took me on a tour throughout the place, including the service department. I have never experienced that before, at any other dealership. And by the way, he was also very attentive to my sister, who came along with me. I left Hawk Chevy with such a great feeling. I have had my share of bs at dealerships! (kingdom chevy and the rest on western) i came here just to way out my options.I wasnt expecting to leave with a car when i went. The lady on the internet basically sold me a dream a if i was going to be put in a brand new car. Mike brazier kept it real. i been a victim of identity theft and its still in dispute but i needed a car asap my other car engine light was on. mike told me how basically the financnig system work i told him i didnt want to pay a note on no old rinky dink car. he showed me what was in my range based off my income and credit score was very professional very cool guy i was impressed of how he didnt lie to me not once didnt get my hopes up or anything. he worked with me and put me in a truck when i was just expecting a car didnt even think i would getn it right then and there and wasnt even in there4 that long i am defly reccomending him to everybody. nowi know all car salesman arent full of S#!t. defly a good experience. i love my truck very fuel efficient! and up to date :))) read more

I was not looking forward to getting a new car and actually compared it to going to the dentist - you're glad when it is over, but my experience at Hawk Chevrolet was nothing like that; it was wonderful. I did my research and knew what options and price to expect. My salesman Dan, and the manager Jorge, answered my questions, offered options, and did not engage in any "high pressure" sales. In fact when I mentioned that I was considering another brand, they arranged for me to travel to a sister dealership to inspect and test drive that vehicle. It seemed to me that they were more concerned with having a satisfied customer than making the sale. Well they did make the sale - I'm satisfied with the price I paid, the options and the vehicle that I received and the professionalism of everyone that I encountered. I visited the dealership a few times before finalizing my purchase and leaving with my new car and it was so refreshing that everyone said "hello" and was friendly. This is my third purchase from this dealership for a reason! Stanley and David Kolendo were wonderful to work with, they are very accommodating and knowledgeable. Art W. is always a joy to work with, I am extremely comfortable and confident when making a purchase with him. Art W. is up front honest and not pushy whatsoever. I love this place! I purchased my new vehicle with the help of Miguel Estrada and Jorge Soria and they were phenomenal!! After going to a new dealer for 6 days in a row, I came here pretty exhausted and more than ready to buy a vehicle that day! I didn't have to deal with any crazy gimmicks where they tell you to sit and wait while they throw your keys on the roof! I've been building up my credit over the past few years and part of that process involved buying cars from a larger dealer in the area. Everytime I went there, they acted as if they were doing me a huge favor to get the deal I got and once they sold me the car, I never heard from them again until I walked in to buy the next one. So, imagine my suprise when walked into Hawk Chevy and was treated like a king before AND after they ran my credit. I bought a new 2012 Chevy Sonic from them, you would think I bought a Corvette by the way I was treated. Johnny was nice, funny and helpful. It's a pleasure dealing with good people! I was really upside down with my trade-in and things worked out good with a lower payment, lower finance percent and a nice vehicle. These people check on you and help you with any questions or concerns. I got locked out of my vehicle and OnStar opened it for me. Even though I have six months of free OnStar service Edyta called me and help me set up 5 years free service where I can open my own vehicle right from my smart phone! Oh and free car washes for as long as I own the vehicle.....Nice! Also, it was very cold that day, Johnny helped me with bags and got a few things out of my other vehicle that I would have probably left behind. He also got me hot chocolate so I can "Warm Up"! It was time for me trade in my vehicle. I use Hawk Chevy all the time for my oil changes so I decided to buy a new vehicle there. I wanted to purchase a 2018 Chevy Trax. My salesman Sam Rafiti was excellent. He was personable and made me feel comfortable. He got me to where I felt comfortable with my payment. That was key for me! Or I was going to leave. But Sam got me there and was also knowledgable about the new technology in the vehicle like Apple Carplay. He told me over and over that if I need any help with figuring things out to come back and he would walk me thru the steps. Everyone at Hawk Chevy was awesome from time I first walked through the doors. They were pleasant and very accommodating. They also made me feel comfortable with the decision I was making, no one forced anything on me. They also was concerned about how I felt about the car, and financing the whole time. I was introduced to almost the entire staff at Hawk Chevy, including the service department. I left Hawk Chevy feeling really great, I have never been treated so well at a dealership. Even the follow up and customer service has been great.. Overall, I had a great experience.
