Valet was the only parking option, but we did notice a mall parking lot a block down the street that could be utilized too in worse case scenario. The was a restaurant option called Sera that we did enjoy their happy hour one-day, but we mainly found ourselves getting breakfast options from Paris Baguette that was also connected to the hotel. There was a spa, but we didn't partake in it. I only went to the spa to get the beach towels for the swimming pool. That has a patio terrace area and a jacuzzi, also a lap pool. The wait staff was nice, but housekeeping would not always respond when you called for assistance. I had to go to the front desk a couple times to get ahold.of housekeeping, to get like extra bath towels. There is also a shuttle that will drop you off along the Waikiki Beach strip to get you really close to the beach and other touristy spots in Oahu. Also I thought it was nice that the hotel provided complimentary beach chairs on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. My friends and I got lucky enough to get 4 of them one day for out beach visit. Not to mention the location of this hotel is convenient for a near by shopping mall, Target, Don Quixote, a variety of restuarants, and even the location of our rental car place. I enjoyed my stay in Renaissance and would definitely stay again for the location preference.

It makes it worse because they build a $25 spend on your resort fees for the restaurants and this is what they serve you. On more than one occasion our car took 30-40 minutes because they didn't have enough valets, I booked 2 separate reservations back to back to change room types when my kids showed up and despite requesting housekeeping for both, they didn't service my room 3 out of 9 might. 33% miss. We had to request towels by going downstairs because no one was answering the phone. It's 8-2026 so maybe wait until 2028 to let them straighten it up or else you have been warned Horrible. My 2 stars take into account the nice building, location and decently solid rooms for now

The first day,…read moreI thought I was guaranteed to see an apparition, given the house was built in 1914, the history of Mānoa Valley, and the turreted Victorian architecture. But the more time I spent here, this house grew on me. I was lucky to have the Davies room on the third floor (note that there are no elevators, and there are no plans to add ADA access because the house is on the National Registry of Historic Places). Awesome view of Waikīkī at sunrise and golden hour. Being 6'1" the bathroom can be awkward with its placement under a steep-sloped gable, requiring me to stand a little closer to the shower head and sink. The house has that smell like grandma's house, but it's expected with any wooden building this old. Top-notch antiques decorate every corner in a tasteful way. The saltwater pool is an added comfort, and the breakfasts made to order by Tomomi and her daughter is plain ol' good homecooking. Owner Scott Glen put a lot of money, time, and sweat into making this place wonderful. The five ducks, cat, and miniature pinscher are fun housemates!

I was lucky to have the inn pretty much to myself. I was afraid that it would be haunted but I felt a welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. I took the John Guild Suite. I felt sad to learn John Guild had embezzled money from the Dillingham company to build this house. He was caught and had to turn the home over to the Dillinghams -- had a quiet evening after having an Italian dinner at a nearby restaurant. Was very quiet and I slept very well. The family that took over the inn was very pleasant and created a terrific breakfast in the morning. I will be returning when I can. You would need to climb stairs if u want the John Guild or Dillingham suites. I did see a clown loach in the aquarium. Haven't seen one in ages and remembered that in the wild they can grow very large. Checking out was done smoothly and felt refreshed to begin the work week again

These are just rooms. It's like an upscale camping experience. You do share showers & toilets and there is a blow dryer!! . But it is not what you would assume. People were very friendly, respectful, & just humble! It's like taking a shower at the gym after a workout! My hubby & I are trying to enjoy every bit of hawaii without draining our account. We really want to experience camping but with 2 toddlers (3 & 2 year olds) we weren't sure if we were capable of handling 2 kids and the wilderness. This place gave us the opportunity to assess ourselves. We packed beach gears, our own grill, a Crock pot, the rice cooker, our frozen marinate, the perculator for the cold nights of kaneohe in December and off we went. The first night we checked in it was really chilly out and too dark to explore. So we went straight to bed...beds were nice and soft. Too soft for me but was comfortable . Next day it was so windy out we went to the cottage side beaches for grilling & beaching. It was breath taking. Kids played all day on the beach and didn't want to leave. It was our first night as well to try the showers! The shower room is key card entry only so you know each person there is checked in and is a guest as well. The showers are nicely HOT!!! My whole family had great HOT SHOWERS during our stay...which was much needed on our cold windy nights out. All rooms has air conditioning so that was nice. We really spoiled ourselves calling this a camping experience. Lol. But it was a good price for all the amenities. Bring Clorox wipes. Any spill of food ants come out. It doesn't bother me I grew up in Guam (it's an island thang) so I just wipe them off and clean as I go each time I or my kids have meals. And if you forgot ANY THING at home....MCX Shoppette near the main gate amazingly has everything! That was an A plus! Last day we spent it at the SUPER PLAYGROUND. The kids loved it. There was a barbecue pit nearby so we grilled some kalbi while children had a blast. It was a nice 4 day weekend well spent with the family. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Recycling and general waste bins included. Cabinets for food storage is adequate. No stove top or hot plate. Bathroom sink is tucked into a hallway and the bathtub with shower and toilet are inside an adjacent room. Showerhead is extremely clogged and no longer sprays but comes out in a stream. Water pressure is fine. Bathroom smells of mold. Outdoor play area has a small playground area with a couple of climbing rocks and small trees. Grounds are well kept. Permanent gazebo with outdoor furniture suitable for a couple of family's is at the center. Nice quiet atmosphere. Every time I visit Honolulu, I always try to book one of Annie's rentals first and hope that there's availability during my trip dates! I'm one of those people that does extensive research and price comparisons on different rentals before every trip, and Annie's units are the best value every time. I've experienced two month-long stays at one of her Ilikai Marina units, and I'd book the exact same rental again every time I return if it's available. The unit was bright, clean, spacious, and peaceful. It had the most comfortable bed and pillows I've ever slept on. Even if I had a naked Ryan Gosling in my bed, I'd still choose sleep over sex because the bed and pillows are THAT comfortable. The Wi-Fi was fast and consistent, even during video-heavy Zoom calls, so you'll have no problems working remotely. The Ilikai Marina is a prime location with so much to do within walking distance like Magic Island, Ala Moana, and everything Waikiki has to offer. There's a Biki station right around the block, so I biked pretty much everywhere. On top of all this, Annie and Adrianne are incredibly responsive, friendly, and accommodating. I'd highly recommend booking with Annie, but hopefully not during MY travel dates because I want to rent with her when I'm in town, too!

Additionally, we loved that there was a sliding door in the condo, that turned the apartment into a one bedroom when we wanted (but also allowed us to have open space when we wanted as well). Annie was super responsive and accommodating. From the booking process where she explained everything to going above and beyond such as leaving snacks in the kitchen, water in the fridge, and laundry detergent in the closet since we were staying longer term. These details made us feel really welcome and Annie also has the best suggestions on places to eat or things to do in the area. Grateful to work with Annie on this rental and will definitely be recommending to friends who come to Hawaii to visit!
