Since it was a bit over what I was hoping to pay I asked her a few more questions and told her I'd think about it. She followed up with "yeah, don't come back I'm busy". I was honestly so taken aback and I noticed other reviews noting the rude service they got. I understand she is busy, but there are nicer ways to say it! It was disappointing since I've been here in the past and had a great experience. Her prices are reasonable, but service is not there at all.

The nice Korean lady who worked at Sheridan Laundry was very good at her craft, and her prices for alterations were very reasonable. Unfortunately during Covid-19 her business tanked, and she no longer does alterations. From there, I found another alteration business on Pensacola Street, but the prices that the lady changes to alter a pair of pants slowly crept up to $14.00. Yikes! When I came to get the dress hemmed, Nori did not pin up the bottom like a tailor normally would, and instead proceeded to chop the extra fabric off with scissors. When I came to pick up the dress, it was obviously too short. I brought this concern up, as the dress was easily hitting three inches off the ground, and all that she said was " I can't fix it. Sometimes you need it off the ground for dirt". She proceeded to charge full price for the service. I will never be coming back here! Linh's Alterations was highly recommended, so let's give it a try! I knew where this place was as it has been at the same location along Ke'eaumoku St, between Kinau and Beretania and next to Mai Lan Vietnamese restaurant for decades! There's dedicated parking stalls on the side of the building, in the same lot as the Texaco gas station. Look for the Keeaumoku Pawn / Linh's Alteration sign. It's the same place! But it's definitely more so an alteration place than pawn shop. My wife has been here several times for repairs and alterations. This time I needed repairs! One of my newer Aloha Shirts had a seam splitting after just two washes, and it was all sold out at stores and online, so I wasn't able to exchange! The inside was clean and spacious. Linh was very friendly, nice, and an excellent listener. She definitely has very sharp eyes. Also, she is quite efficient! My shirt was finished in just a couple of days. Shirt was clean, neatly folded, and stitched very nicely. It was $15 plus tax, which was definitely reasonable. It wasn't a big area and it might've been a "simple" fix. Overall, I was happy with my shirt and the whole process, and will definitely bring any clothes that need repairs or alterations to Linh's! I would have done it myself, but the judo gi material is so thick. So I was definitely relieved when I walked in and saw a whole stack of gis. El'gant did such a great job that I wished I had gone there in the first place. The patches were sewn on correctly and in line with IJF regulations. They finished the work quickly, and I thought their prices were very fair. It's clear they know what they're doing when it comes to judo gis.
