Long story short, M & M was referred to me by a long time electrical supervisor at C&C of Honolulu. M & M also did work on my co-workers home...so I knew M & M would be legit in their services and their licenses. I was definitely pleased by how quickly they got back to me and the ability to squeeze me into their schedule last minute. The fixed my electrical socket problem, and actually discovered and fixed another issue going on in my wall (again, SHODDY *SS work done by another contractor named Mr. Lee and developer Mr. Mike Chan who built these buildings!!!!). Prices are going rate, I didn't feel like I was being charged more than necessary or taken advantage of. Straight forward and quick work. But truth be told I'd gladly pay $136.00 dollars to repair anything could potentially blow up anything in my house. So thanks M & M, I'll be calling you back if I need to....but hopefully I won't!

He analyzed our issue on the spot within minutes, and replaced what was needed and came back the next day for an upgrade to our breaker. (Tesla Charger and other electrical usage was tripping main panel). Here's the best part... when he returned he also brought us DRY AKU POKE & Fresh Ahi filets caught off the Waianae Coast! I was referred to 21st Century by one of my clients. They have Mitsubishi split-AC systems running…read moreconstantly and were incurring HECO bills of $300-400 per month. That was over a year ago. With their PV system operating fully, their bills now range from $18-58 per month. That is solar in action! Although I did not ultimately choose 21st Century, now called Smart Energy Hawaii, to install my PV system, they are a viable alternative for moderately low-priced systems. Their sales rep was courteous, honest, knowledgeable, and helpful in assessing my situation. They did offer the SANYO HIT modules I was most interested in, but their price was about 7.2% higher than what I selected. They do offer systems utilizing CONERGY modules, a German panel, at a price advantage compared with the SANYOs of 2.5%. The Conergy is physically larger than the Sanyo, so its less-efficient power production is at least partially made up by its larger panel area. However, it needs extra roofing area that I don't have with my south-facing roof. You won't go wrong with selecting 21st Century/Smart Energy as they have been long-established here. The president, Myron Thompson, is the brother of famed Hokulea navigator Nainoa Thompson. They are both sons of Myron "Pinky" Thompson, the respected one-time Bishop Estate trustee.

They were very thorough in the assessment and the prices were in line with the others....the crew was excellent - keeping me informed and were very clean. They must have been Boy Scouts - because they left no trace of work once they were done - they even took their trash with them!!! The real kicker for me was company stability, Myron Thomson is in this for the long haul - not just cashing in on the Hawaii Gold(Solar) Rush! His company will be here for years to come, so when i pick up the phone....I know it will get answered professionally and courteously. Smart Energy has to be in your review when going solar!

Our home recently sustained damage due to our next door neighbor's digging a ditch to divert water from their yard onto ours which the city has refused to get involved in. Rather than a prolonged process, we opted to use the homeowner's insurance and get the job done. Ted Takamori was referred to us by the insurance company as one of the contractors that could do the job. I called him and was presently surprised that they answered the phone early in the morning, about 6:55 a.m. Ted made an appointment with me and promptly showed up at the agreed upon time, did an scope of the job and called me within a few days with an estimate. Fast forward to job scheduled and completed to perfection. Takamori, Inc., sent out two more than awesome and knowledgeable workers, Shawn and Chris to do the work, not only were they more than professional, they went over and above to do the job which took 3 days to complete,(one was because of the rain). This company was also trustworthy, I was able to give them a key and a gate controller with no problems. I was dabbling around Angie's List and my information was sent to several roofing contractors who contacted me. 2 were very poor with their communication, the 3rd company was Pacific Island Construction. I was put in contact with Richard Ramos and he was great from the start. Great communication, phone calls, email and text. His proposal was a little higher than the other 2 but I went with Richard because I shouldn't feel like I am pulling teeth to get a contractor to take my job, which was the case. Richard did a fantastic job. He removed our leaking and deteriorating sky lights, sealed everything up, pressure washed, applied primer and 2 coats of the elastomeric coating in 3 days. In the month since, we have had 3 heavy downpours in Manoa with absolutely no leaks and the house is about 10 degrees cooler since we don't have an attic and the ceiling is open. Excellent in all aspects of the job, highly recommended.

ADMOR, I'd give it NO stars…read more. For the last week, I have been calling and calling. Whoever is working the phones clearly does not care about this business. They either don't answer the phone or pick up the phone and hang it up. Yesterday, someone did picked up the phone but they didn't answer. They had the audacity to just leave the phone on the counter and talk about Beetle nuts while I am waiting on the phone for someone to at least say "Hello", then they just hung up the phone. It doesn't matter how great the products may be, if the workers aren't going to at least give the courtesy of answering the phone or taking a message. I would hope the manager of this company takes a look into how the workers are conducting themselves because it is not good for business. It is one thing to be busy, but to overhear a conversation about something that has nothing to do with work, shows that you know the workers are just messing around. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and I plan on taking my business elsewhere.
