I had an incredible experience at Indy Arms Co. Brian Buehrings was the one who helped me, and I…read moretruly cannot say enough about his professionalism and character. I came in as a domestic violence survivor, carrying more than just a firearm, I was carrying history. I had been holding onto a gun from my past that no longer represented who I am or where I'm going. I knew I didn't want to leave with something that felt like it was hindering me. Brian was calm, patient, and deeply understanding throughout the entire process. He never rushed me. He listened. He answered every question thoroughly. He created a safe, respectful environment for me to make a decision that felt aligned with my future, not my trauma. This wasn't just a purchase. It was a transition. And Brian helped me select something that represents protection, peace, and a better chapter ahead. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely respectful team, Indy Arms Co. is the place to go. The level of care, expertise, and respect I received made the experience more valuable than just the purchase itself. The whole team is solid.

NOT the old school "grumpy gus" gun store - nice, clean, professional, well-stocked and well-priced. Probably a good thing I don't live nearby, because I'd be here a LOT. The folks at Badger Creek are extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable with a great sense of…read morehumor. We were only going to stop for a few minutes to check out their inventory but ended up staying awhile and even made a terrific and reasonably priced purchase. The shop is small so the inventory isn't massive like some larger gun shops. Badger Creek does offer unique items, such as older revolvers, as well as new items. One I fell in love with was a gorgeous Colt 1911 pistol with a hot-blued finished frame (hot oxidation of the steel). It was extremely striking with all the various shades of color and a fair price. Another thing I judge a gun store by is if they acknowledge and respect a woman the same as a man entering the business and not ignoring women. My husband and I entered the business at separate times since I was outside taking pictures. When I entered the gentlemen behind the counter immediately acknowledged me and made me feel very welcome. They explained answers to my questions clearly and made it fun to look at whatever I found interesting. I truly enjoyed giving them our business rather than a cold impersonal salesperson. Yes, their prices were competitive and reasonable so I wasn't just looking for a girl's pretty pink or purple gun. Whether you're in the market or just out shopping in the Mooresville area, pop in for a few minutes. Even if you don't find something you can't live without, you won't have wasted a lot of time with the small shop and you'll have met some experienced and friendly owners.

This review is only one star bc I have no choice, otherwise zero stars for this business. I…read moreshipped a firearm purchased from me, thru Gunbroker.com, to this business at the buyers request, as ERG is a licensed FFL dealer. Once this establishment received the package and all the proper completed paperwork from Gunbroker.com they refused to complete the transaction and transfer to my buyer and gave no good reason other than "... the transaction seemed shady... and it was an illegal transfer". It obviously was not as Gunbroker.com is a legal, reputable site that is specifically for fostering proper, LEGAL firearm transfers. I, as well as another licensed FFL dealer, reached out citing the laws and providing the source direct from the ATF government site. Not only did they continue to decline the transaction, ERG completed the transfer to their business name before shipping it back, costing me additional fees for another transfer, on top of the $75 fee for shipping. All for no reason. This situation was not handled appropriately or professionally and was quite disappointing for not only myself but the buyer. I would advise, that a business of this type especially, be knowledgeable of the laws and transactions of their market.
