I have been hearing feedback from others the ownership was not the best and cleanliness standards were deteriorating. Some stated that the rooms reeked of weed. Tonight after arriving on a late flight and with an early meeting I stopped by a few minutes after midnight. Being after midnight my Choice Hotel app showed a rate of $109 for the following night but not the present night. I went to the front desk and asked and showed the man the rate on the app. He then went into a discussion of why that internet rate is wrong and the real rate is $160. I asked him to call the Choice Hotel reservations if he felt this rate was wrong. I was just asking him if he would honor a late arrival (after midnight) with an early departure in the morning. Very aggressively he said no and if I wanted a room it would be $160. Seems expensive for the area and it felt like he was just wanting to pocket the difference beyond the published rate. And this was really bad and rude customer service. Like "wow" that is outrageous and too strange. They are not on our recommended hotel list after tonight.

Seems I'm still on my hotel review kick. Maybe doing too much travel lately…read more This place has promise. Liken to the Wizard of Oz, don't look behind the door or listen. The location on Main Street is great. The rustic local family owned road inn look is good. High expectations.. Reality is far worse. Rarely have I arrived late at night, woke the desk clerk, found the room, pulled back the sheets, crawled in. And crawled out a few hours later more tired than when I arrived, without a great story. No great story here. Closer to a bad dream. There appeared to be several factors involved in my complaint - window mounted siren appearing to be an AC unit with bad/broken bearings likely about 20+ years old. This thing should have been mounted on a fire truck. Second, and related, the AC was definitely needed as without it the room heated up quickly, and there was the leaf blower at the early hour of 7am. And without AC, sweating is not pleasant when the mattress has a plastic covering. Worse yet is when you share your complaint about the over zealous leaf blower the next morning with the front desk and they say "thanks for letting me know". On the positive, the shower worked but the little nickel size soap could have been bigger. It's room number 110 with the AC siren. Recommend the Hampton down the road or maybe your car.

Well I won't belabor our negative experience too much. Basically we were there two night and one…read morewas charged double because UGA was having their graduation 25 miles away. Our main point was that hall where we stayed was under renovation so we had to avoid wet paint, carpet glue and people making noise from 8 am to 5 pm. But that is not what upset us the most. It was the lack of a timely response to our concerns. The morning supervisor was rude and combative. Her boss was unresponsive and finally after writing the home office we got some pathetic apologies and a ridiculous offer of 5000 points for our troubles. We will certainly avoid this hotel forever and I will also avoid IHG hotels whenever possible. This company really needs to read up on the term Customer Service. We are not there for their benefit.

That's where the positivity here ends- the walls here are paper thin. Luckily my neighbors for my 2 nights were mindful, but I found it crazy that when I first came into the room I could hear every word from the TV next door even though it was at a normal volume. If you're next to loud kids or a barking dog you're in for a bad night. The room was pretty gross. On the surface it looked fine but then as I took a closer look at the beds I saw the sheets were extremely worn from overuse and that my pillow cases had make up on them. The windows needed to be cleaned as well. You can see this in the pictures I'm about to add. On top of this, the fridge ended up freezing the food I had put in it? In summary, this hotel could do a lot better.
