I seriously cannot say enough good things about Just Skin, I've been coming here for almost a year now for waxing, makeup, and eyelashes and have never had less than a perfect experience across the board! I'd give a million stars if I could. WAXING: Lorraine is absolutely fantastic, and has a crazy eye for detail. I remember the first time I went to her she noticed the little lopsidedness in my eyebrows that no one (but me) has ever noticed before- and she fixed it! and my brows look fantastic! They were super fun to have around, were chatting it up with all of my girls, and even taught a few tips and tricks about makeup and brows with some of them along the way! Everyone looked gorgeous and all of my girls loved their makeup. The ones that wanted natural got natural, and the ones that were comfortable with a bit more makeup got that too. One of my bridesmaids even had a grapefruit-sized dark bruise on her shin and Jodi covered it up with makeup to the point where it was barely even visible! EYELASH EXTENSIONS: Isabel does such a fantastic job with eyelash extensions! I am constantly getting compliments on my eyelashes about how full and natural they look. Isabel also makes me process painless. I get kind of claustrophobic with my eyes closed for so long but the most recent time I went in I told her I wanted to try to fall asleep so she put on calming music, rubbed some lavender oil on my temples, and gave me a comforting little shoulder rub and I was good to go! After a few months of searching for a reputable and afforable salon for eyelash extensions, I came across Just Skin on Yelp. I was impressed by the 5-star reviews and all of the great experiences that everyone else had shared. I was able to get an appointment with Isabel very quickly. Let me just say that Isabel is wonderful and incredibly talented at eyelash extensions! She told me that she has been doing extensions for eleven years, and it shows! She made me feel comfortable, and she answered all of my questions. My lashes look AMAZING. I went with a more natural eyelash, as opposed to a bold, dramatic lash. I have done micro/peel at least 5 times in my life at 5 different places. And none of them have done as good as Lorraine's service. They weren't bad, but there was no result there. I've been a loyal customer with Lorraine since the first day I went in. Instantly you can just tell she is a professional and a perfectionist. I gave up on threading. Never got perfect arches like I did with wax and tweezing so I am back to that (well tweezing anyway since I am on Retin A). Prices are reasonable $20 for full own bushy brows (how I first came in) and $15 after. A bit cheaper than other English speaking salons. If I wasn't about to move back to LA I would get the 75 minute oxygen facials for $65. Usually I see those facials for 50 minutes and for $70 bucks, so it is a good deal. I hate how I didn't discover this place until like 3 months before my move back home. =( Maybe I will come back once a month just because I am to afraid to have anyone else touch my brows. read more

Lorraine had offered a free facial to me in honor of being next door and letting me see first hand how she worked. My husband and I came in for facials and had a wonderful experience from the minute we walked in the door. Jodi was our esthetician and she made us feel very comfortable and at home. I had The Deluxe facial which I highly recommend. The room was very relaxing! Jodi pays attention to the details and I really felt I received more than my moneys worth. I found Just Skin through my yelp search for wedding makeup artists. Since I've had problem skin all my life, and haven't gotten a facial in quite some time, I thought I would book a facial appointment first, to see how I like them, before deciding on a makeup artist for my wedding. I booked my appointment with Jodi. I had read her bio on their website and thought she would be a great fit for me. I decided to get the glycolic peel/microdermabrasion combo. I arrived to a very cozy, inviting and warm environment. Lorraine was the one who greeted me. She made me feel welcome. I am glad I booked my appointment with Jodi. She is so nice and never once made me feel uncomfortable. Throughout the 1.5 hours I was there, she let me know exactly what she was doing next. She made sure I was comfortable by asking if I was okay every now and then. She told me I was a trooper, after the dreadful extractions. While extractions hurt, she was very careful and took her time. The massage part was my favorite! I've never had my feet massaged before, and I must say, I can't wait for my next appointment. Jodi told me my skin will look amazing by my wedding, and I trust her. She didn't even push for a next appointment. She just wanted to make sure my first facial with her was a good experience in hopes that I book another appointment. You get a customized treatment for whatever issue you'd like to resolve. It truly feels like the service you're getting is exactly what your skin needs. Everyone at Just Skin is fantastic, especially Lorraine! She offers a wealth of information on taking care of your skin, and even acts as my occasional sounding board/therapist on days of extreme stress! The atmosphere is also really relaxing. You're ushered into a private room with dim, soft lighting. A robe or sarong are offered for comfort and convenience. There's also the occasional foot bath that is so relaxing. It's easy to feel pampered! The products they use are of high quality and renowned for troubleshooting problematic skin. The warm cup of honey vanilla chamomile tea right after your session is a nice touch as well and really brings the whole experience to a wonderful close. I always look forward to my appointments. Cristina is amazing! My nails always come out looking perfect, and she uses the best scrubs for manicures/pedicures! The prices are very reasonable and she has her own room, so you aren't listening to the chatter of other people. I get the shellac manicure and my nails do not chip, fade, or break, even after a rough camping trip for two weeks! She does not use any drills, so you will never have to worry about losing the top layer of your nail! Polish take off leaves my nails just as healthy as they were before I got them done, if not better! Just Skin is the undoubted turning point in what was an acne epidemic in my life. A 30 year old woman I didn't know what the heck was going on... it was so so bad! The worst was when I would be with my parents and see how much they hurt for me- i could try and cover it all day but my parents know me and could see past the paste straight to the throbbing pain going on on my face. I got a facial last week from Taylor (I'm pretty sure). It was the best facial I've ever had. I haven't gotten one in at least a couple months so she spent extra time on extractions and she did a good job with the microderm.
