The young esthetician evaluated my skin and said that I wasn't really a candidate for Botox because my skin was in excellent condition and that I wouldn't see any changes. I was thankful for her honesty but she did recommend that I should try microneedling for sun damage. After explaining the process I agreed. I inquired what was the downtime and was advised a few days to a week. I explained that I was going out of town and wanted to have a clean refreshing look. I was advised to schedule the session about a week before I leave. I inquired about the price and it took awhile to give me straight answer. The esthetician had to scroll through her tablet and finally I was quoted $300.00 for one treatment. I scheduled the appointment and thanked her for her time. A few days later I was talking to a friend of mine who stated to check Groupon because they have better deals. Initially I was satisfied with my lip filler the first couple of months. However, after a few months past I noticed my lip filler started to migrate outside of my lip line. Making the muscle in between my upper lip and nose look puffy. I called to ask about their lip filler policy for dissolving since I was seen within the same year and now concerned about the migration. They have no policy and charge over $200 for dissolving their own filler even if their own customer is not happy how the filler settled. Filler is not supposed to settle above/outside lip line. The procedure was not done properly and I will be going elsewhere for more professional results and better policies for customers. read more

During the appointment, Shalane asked what I was looking for, I told her what I was looking for. I was burned here and it left me with ice pick and rolling scars. It took me a while to write this review. But here's what happened and how I walked in to treat facial capillaries and walked out needing thousands of dollars in treatments to fix what Botoxie did to me. My first laser session went well, and when I returned a year later, I shared how things healed fine and that I tolerated it well. On my second visit, everything went wrong. The procedure was excessively performed, targeting vulnerable spots unnecessarily that I hadn't asked for. When I returned after 8 weeks, and I showed them the the burn damage - their solution was to offer me one free complimentary microneedling treatment, which does not even compare to the level of damage Botoxie did to my face. They will say that they offered a microneedling treatment as a first step, but that's all they ever offered me. They never offered more than that and there was never any communication of a plan. Why say that now that I've posted my review? Attached are photos of my face before I went into the clinic and after. I followed their recovery protocol just like I had the first time, but this was a severe case of negligence and inappropriate treatment. The damage they caused left scars on both sides of my face, I had to seek help elsewhere including multiple subcisions, multiple PRP and microneedling treatments. The first picture is my face now. I have rolling scars on my cheeks where there was never any scar before. I have ice pick scars around my nose. Parts of the rolling scars have lost melanin. I really wanted this to be a positive experience, as I'm new to the area and actively looking for a MedSpa I can trust. I'll start with the positives: the facility was clean, well decorated, and the receptionist was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, my experience with Nurse Shalane was extremely unprofessional and, at times, rude. I came in specifically for a routine lip flip. Upon entering the treatment room, she immediately began an unprompted "facial assessment." In my opinion, a provider should ask a client whether they would like feedback on other areas of their face before offering unsolicited opinions on what needs to be "fixed." I did not ask for an assessment, nor would I have consented to one--my visit was solely for the lip flip procedure. While that alone was frustrating, what truly made the experience uncomfortable was how she repeatedly commented on my jaw. She pointed out that I have strong jaw muscles and then continued throughout the appointment to make remarks such as my jaw being "very masculine," that men would pay good money to have a jaw like mine, and that it would take a large number of syringes over a long period of time for me to achieve a more "feminine" appearance. These comments were reiterated multiple times and felt mocking rather than informative. I understand that part of working in aesthetics involves discussing additional treatments, but there is a respectful and professional way to do so. What I experienced crossed that line. I have been to several MedSpas and received various treatments, and I have never encountered this level of unprofessionalism. Not to mention but I was quoted $10/unit and it was 4 units and it somehow came out to $150. Which is 3x the amount I have ever paid elsewhere. And they don't send you a receipt. read more

There comes a point and time in your life where you are going to wake up, head towards that morning cup of coffee, rush past a mirror and say, 'Hey Dad!' Then huddled in the corner just shuddering. That's where Botoxie can help delay things a bit longer. My bald head has been taking the brunt of the Cali sun making me look like one of the characters from 'Alien Nation'. And that's a big dated reference 'cos I think that's the last movie I saw with my Dad. More spots than giraffe, more spots than a cheetah - ain't enough crayons to connect all the dots, etc, etc. Bad - I mean really bad. I went in for a consultation with Brian - and this place is far nicer than my dermatologist - and Brian suggested the option of IPL to zap those sun spot to a far lighter shade. Extremely reasonable in price because insurance doesn't cover this type of thing. A little painful in the beginning - like someone snapping a rubber band on a single spot - it's uncomfortable - but not unbearable. The results are simply amazing - works on acne scars and age spots too! The staff is also incredibly professional - everyone is really nice - always offering a water when I've been sitting in the lobby. And it's a beautiful place inside to match! Nice tile, lighting, exam rooms - truly top notch (and again - reasonably priced). I know people come into these types of spas for other reasons, but Brian really took the time to hear me out - wasn't dismissive like my dermatologist - and he really took the time to do a great job. He wasn't there to take my money - he genuinely wanted to help me. This was my first time ever going into a place like this. I came because I've had so many people tell me how spotty the ol' noggin is (was). It's cosmetic - but you start feeling a little self-conscious. But shocking on how impressive the results have been. I think I'll keep my wrinkles 'cos I earned them,....and I don't think Botox comes in vat format. As an added bonus - I truly feel like a native Californian now. My experience here was not at all what I expected, especially considering how highly they were recommended by multiple people. I had scheduled an afternoon appointment for treatment before my wedding. When another appointment with my seamstress got canceled, I decided to stop by earlier to see if they might be able to take me sooner. The person at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating, but the person who performed the actual treatment was terrible. She immediately scolded me and asked me to sign a form stating that I agreed to a $50 rescheduling fee, which I didn't understand so I hesitated to sign and instead of calmly explaining, she became visibly irritated that I was asking questions. Once we started the consultation, the discomfort only got worse. She was short, abrupt, and clearly frustrated with every question I asked. Her tone made me feel like I was inconveniencing her just for wanting to understand the process. Honestly, I would have preferred if they had just told me they couldn't see me earlier. When it comes to these treatments, you want to feel that the person treating you cares about your comfort and takes the time to answer your questions. Unfortunately, that was not the case here.
