UPDATE: I've just been contacted by their district manager who wrote among other things: "In exchange for removing the review, we would be more than happy to accommodate you with a complimentary treatment as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation for your understanding." I should've listened to the reviews...I saw an ad on Instagram for the Triple Lift & Glow treatment and booked an appt for Friday (May 15). I received a reminder text on Friday (May 8) with a statement that a 'verbal confirmation is required' but also 'reply C to confirm'. Along with this text were a few photos that looked like stock photos of 'before and after' models with 'expected results' texted underneath the images. I then immediately received another text asking if I'd be able to come in Sunday (May 10) instead. I asked what times were available and I received a text with several time slots. I replied that I could do the 12pm time to which the reply was 'Great! We will confirm your appt right away' then another text asking 'could it be for 12:30pm instead?' I agreed and then received another text confirming the appt. Then, yesterday (May 9) I received an EMAIL with an appt reminder and instruction to 'double confirm' the appt and 'appts that are not double confirmed the day before are not guaranteed, you MUST confirm blah blah blah'. DOUBLE CONFIRM? So, I called and left a message AND responded to the previously sent text to 'double confirm'. I received another text stating that the appt had been confirmed. THEN, this morning (May 10-the day of the appt), I received yet ANOTHER automated courtesy reminder text and to 'reply C to confirm' again accompanied by stock 'before and after' images and a reminder that 'Any no shows/same day cancellations WILL LOSE THE PROMOTION AND BE BANNED FROM BOOKING ANY FUTURE PROMO' (the capital letters are theirs not added by me) THEN, at 9:12am today (day of the appt), I get a text asking if I could come in at 12 instead of 12:30. Because I could not make it at an earlier time, I responded with 'unfortunately no'. Then at 10:02am, I get a text that read, 'Regrettably, the appointment for TODAY -12:30pm is no longer available due to unforeseen circumstances as our esthetician is unwell. We won't be able to open unfortunately. blah blah blah' I responded with, 'This is interesting. If your esthetician is unwell, why did you ask me if I could come in at 12pm today?' Over three hours later I received a text 'We thought we can still manage to receive a client, but unfortunately we can't. Apologies for the inconvenience. Would you like to come in tomorrow instead? (with a list of time slots)'. I should've listened to the reviews...the multiple requests to confirm, the photos that don't appear to represent actual clients, the poor customer service. Received multiple emails confirming appointment, even the day off.. which all emails stated to only call if we need to reschedule or cancel. Now I come for my appointment, and their sour faces just flat out tell me because I didn't answer a call confirming my appointment and not only that an esthetician was not available, they needed to rescheduled. HOW MANY TIMES DO WE NEED TO CONFIRM..! 1. Don't come with the story that I didn't confirm, I did it twice. 2. Not my fault that this place was understaffed. Should've had personnel for your appointments. 3. As a no longer potential client, this place needs to really work on their confirmation system. Never have dealt with a place that sends 10+ confirmations haha ... 2 should be enough. Reading now previous reviews, seems this is an ongoing issue. Based on first impressions would never recommend this place. Also, smiling a little more couldn't hurt anyone, no one likes stuck up faces. Update: received a text 4 hours later after I left basically saying that that they would be Upgrading my service for free in exchange of me removing or changing my review. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE Saw an ad on Instagram and made an appointment, the appointment went smooth loved the girl who did my facial! I wanted to schedule another appointment and set it all up and then my travel plans changed and had to head back home to another state, was told if I cancel before three the day before my appointment then I would not be charged but if I cancel after that then unfortunately I would be charged full amount. I made the appointment for two days out, and regrettably I had to go home for a family emergency the next day. So I called same day I made the appointment nobody answered, so I left a message explaining I had to cancel and I wanted to know more about the cancellation fee or if there would be one considering I was calling two days before, hours after I made the appointment. Called the next day left more messages. Finally spoke to someone and asked them because I would have went if they wanted to still charge me I would've changed my plans. She basically said that she needed more information and hung up. Later, I get a text saying that they can't hold my appointment and asked if I want to reschedule, I respond saying I don't want to reschedule. I'm heading home. I just needed to know more information if they were going to try to charge me since it was in adequate time to cancel. Never heard anything back and now I'm being charged the full amount for an appointment that I never made it to. Called them about three times today. Left another message because nobody answers the phones there. I used to work in an office if someone called and left a message trying to cancel their appointment and we weren't there, but it was the day before we would not charge them because it was in the adequate time period. I would avoid this place and they're unprofessionalism a huge scam. What I signed up to go have done wasn't even really done and it was just a random facial that left me feeling pretty greasy and definitely made me break out the next day. I had a very frustrating experience with this business before even receiving any services. After clicking their link once, I was immediately contacted and repeatedly messaged multiple times a day--even after asking them to stop because I was in class. They advertised a $49 special for treatments, but later it became clear that the pricing was not straightforward and didn't actually apply as initially presented. That raised concerns for me about transparency. On top of that, their communication was extremely disorganized. My appointment time was changed multiple times (12:00, then 1:30, then back to 12:00), and I even received confirmation messages for times I never booked, from different phone numbers. Despite canceling, I continued receiving messages. This experience felt unprofessional and overwhelming. I would strongly recommend being cautious and doing thorough research before booking. read more

They make appointments and then cancel you an hour before explaining they double booked even though you have had the appointment booked several days. They confirmed several times by text and by phone and then an hour before the appointment they tell me they have to cancel me because they are fully booked and double scheduled appointments. I had child care arrangements for my twins that isn't cheap and I have to pay regardless of their cancellation because they waited till the last hour as I'm getting in my car. What a very unorganized establishment . I would strongly discourage you trust your care to incompetent people who have lack of respect for your time. read more

I recently came in for the Double Chin Rescue facial and I have to start by saying Emma was amazing. She was so sweet, professional, and made me feel completely comfortable from the moment I walked in. Her technique was incredibly relaxing -- the facial itself felt wonderful, and you can tell she truly cares about her clients. I honestly can't say enough good things about her! The only thing I want to note is that the results for the "double chin" part didn't match what I expected based on the dramatic before-and-after photos promoted online While the experience was relaxing and my skin felt great afterward, I didn't really see a visible difference in the chin/jawline area. I answered one of their IG ads for a facial. I received several texts wanting me to confirm. I confirmed multiple times. The texts were coming from two numbers and had two different times. So I texted to clarify time and received an answer that, yes it was 2:30pm not 2:00pm. When I arrived, a few minutes before 2:30pm, they told me I missed my 2:00pm appt. I showed them the texts and confirmation for 2:30pm. They then have you sit down with a "consultant" who does a timeshare like sales pitch to you before your treatment. The facial I received from Rita was excellent. Then when checking out I received another high pressure sales interaction. If they toned down their high pressure sales approach I might consider going back, but after that experience, I'll never go to them again. read more

She greeted me with a warm smile and immediately addressed any and all concerns with my skin!! I got the "triple lift and glow treatment"!! I highly recommend this treatment! I had an extremely unprofessional and upsetting experience at Esthetix MD La Jolla on Monday--with Julie, the owner. I arrived on time for my confirmed appointment and was left standing at the front while Julie continued helping another client for 15 minutes past my scheduled time without acknowledging me. When she finally spoke to me, she told me I didn't have an appointment because I hadn't "confirmed by phone"--a requirement that was never communicated at any point. Before the appointment, I received three separate text confirmations and two emails, all clearly stating that I was booked. The emails said only to call if I had questions or needed to reschedule--no mention anywhere of needing to confirm by phone. I also reviewed the clinic's own cancellation policy, which states that if you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or no-show, you are charged. Again--nothing about phone confirmations. I had paid over $1,500 for a treatment package, and this appointment was part of that package. Julie not only refused to honor it--she treated me as if I had done something wrong. When I calmly explained the situation and asked for a refund or resolution, she threatened to call security, physically backed me out of the front door, and locked it behind me. She also refused to give me her name, even though she is the owner--I only discovered that afterward through further research. I followed up with two formal written complaints, clearly requesting a refund or the opportunity to reschedule. Neither was acknowledged. As someone who worked in the service industry for over 15 years, I know the difference between a simple miscommunication and flat-out mistreatment. This was the latter. Sadly, after looking into the business more, I found that this wasn't an isolated experience. In the two months they've been open, there are already multiple one-star reviews describing similarly unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. There is a clear pattern. If this is how the owner treats paying clients--especially those who have already spent thousands--I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. First off the ladies are so incredibly welcoming and the ambiance is amazing, luxurious, and peaceful. Upon entry, I was immediately offered water or coffee, filled out a questionnaire, and headed to the office for a consult. We went over target areas and goals, and prospective treatments (I was there for a double chin rescue)-all pretty affordable! Was then led back to the most peaceful room to lie down and let the lovely lady do her work. Her hands are MAGIC. I was in and out of sleep the whole experience. The products used all smelt lovely, the steam was luxurious, honestly it was all very pleasant. My qualm here was that it was a "double chin rescue" where I read and was explained the target areas would be... targeted. Though the facial was amazing; my jawline, chin, nor neck was targeted in any way. My forehead and cheek area were the most attended to areas. I was able to have a discount due to a promo deal advertised on instagram, and for $49, the facial was worth it. Would definitely book a $49 facial. But for the original price of around $300? I would not book the Double Chin Rescue. In any case, thanks so much to the lovely ladies for an experience! read more

My full name vs my short name, but same dob, same phone number that they use to text to confirm 70/times per day! And after driving 45 minutes to get there i mention i think i went to a different location the unprofessional red head with the tattoos said to me in sorry we can't give you a promotion, but you can get a.facial, it's $320 dollars. So i made my way out and had to wait 45 mins for my ride to get there. AND yet again getting another text to reschedule my appointment for the promotion, are you joking me.? the whole thing felt like it was run by little girls. Never again. I talked to the person and she said she was going to talk to a store manager I haven't heard from them, but they do expect me to pay for the for the treatments that I haven't received and so far, nobody haven't called me so I had to put a stop in there and their account so be careful because you don't know what they're using on your face. read more
