My rating starts with a huge "Thank you" to Sabel at Blue Haven. For starters, their shop is a salon, and is in North County. They do ear piercings with love and integrity. They offer gold studs which do better in the healing process of the ears. Sabel understood my concerns and the special occasion for the ear piercings! In addition, they keep the experience personal so as not to overwhelm anyone getting ears pierced for the first time. Everything is professionally done and sanitized. I have been coming to Haven Blue for about 6 months now. I have seen Yazlyn each time. This review has been a long time coming. She is amazing. Talented, sweet and very honest. I had originally come in for a baylage. I had one in my hair and wanted to get it redone. She said that she would do it, but she felt that it might be good to let my hair heal for awhile and then do the baylage. My natural hair is almost black so it needs a lot of bleach. How many stylists do you know that would lose out on more money because they wanted to do what is best for their client's hair? She got my hair back to being super healthy and I got it done. It looks way better now than it would have a few months. She did a wonderful job and I will go to her as long as she's around. read more

This salon and the ladies that works here deserves more than 5 stars.... Hands down the best salon and hair artist I've been to! I messaged the salon via yelp and someone touched base with me within 24hours. I talked to Sabel and she was so kind to help me figure out a day that works best for me and my husband so he can watch our kids while I get my mommy time. She scheduled me with Alyx on a Wednesday morning. When I walked in to the salon, i was welcomed by Alyx and Sabel. Alyx has a very upbeat and lively attitude, exactly who I envision my stylist would be. The salon is small, cozy and has a bohemian modern vibe. They played a nice jazzy, folk-ish music which sets the tone and ambiance. Alyx and I talked and I showed her the the picture of the hairstyle I wanted. She checked my heir and gave me the game plan. Alyx worked on my hair for nearly 3 hours. I got a balayage done but will be going back for 2 more treatments to achieve the ash blonde that I wanted. I also expressed my scalp concern to Sabel and she explained how some hair products can cause dandruff and build up.... she truly made sense! No one explained hair scalp problem to me before! She recommended the love organic products but was not pressuring me to buy the products at all. Alyx used the product that Sabel recommended when my hair was getting washed and I think I'm a convert organic product now. My hair is absolutely silky soft even after 24hours and the color is amazing! I did buy the purple hair product to ensure my color stays until my next appointment. Alyx assures me that they have the love hair products in the store if I need to buy it... and I'm going to buy the conditioner and shampoo on my next visit for sure! Thanks ladies! Disappointed. Julie suggested I get my hair color the day before a job interview. As always, things seemed fine at the salon, but the next day the color ran onto my skin and discolored my scalp. After washing my hair a day later, grey edges and uneven cut strands were apparent. And the color shade did not work with my skin tone, making the grey look horrible. I called within the 1st 2 weeks to tell her about it, and she left me a message as if she didn't know who I was, as if I was a new client asking for a hair cut. I've been getting my lashes done by Trinity for over a year and couldn't be happier. I had lash extensions before from a different place and hated them - they were stiff and awkward and ripped out my own lashes so I was nervous trying again. My volume lashes from Trinity are AMAZING. Feather light, I can't even feel them and the coverage is amazing - I love being able to look pulled together with minimum makeup. People are always asking me about eyelashes. Trinity's prices are so reasonable for the level of work she delivers - I have paid much more for less. OMG this place is great! I've been coloring my hair at home for about a year and decided I was ready to have a professional do it. I set up an appointment with Summer, and showed up with grown-out roots, faded pink and shaggy bangs. From the start, Summer listened to me, figured out exactly what I wanted, and made me feel at ease. I said I wanted pink, and she went through Pinterest to help me pick the perfect shade. I spent several hours in Haven Blue while she lightened my hair, dyed and trimmed it, and Summer and Hilary made me feel really welcome the whole time. Most importantly, the color is amazing!
