Mandy B. is the best in town! I HAVE MY DREAM HAIR FINALLY!!!!! I have Mandy do my hair, as I am a very picky person, with thin fine hair. Mandy put in my extensions to add just a little volume and length (only about two inches longer), it matches perfectly, they move naturually, and no one ever asked me if I had extensions, and the girls at work couldn't believe when I told them it wasn't my hair (the seriously just thought my hair got longer, and just looked this and awesome all the sudden) ha ha I went to visit some friends, and they told me I looked so amazing and so healthy. This is the current location of my long-time hairstylist and colorist, Terrie Esser. Terrie has a real talent for hair and color. I've gotten to the point where I pretty much give her all the creative latitude she wants, and I'm always highly pleased with the results. Her cuts not only look good when they're fresh, but they also grow out gracefully. I wasn't always so trusting. Because of a previous incident elsewhere, I'd taken a five-year break from cutting my hair. I semi-randomly found Terrie through an ad (and just happened to get her as my random stylist). Of course, I was scared of another hair debacle, but Terrie was very supportive (hmm...hairstylist/colorist/therapist??) and the rest is history. Because she has moved, I follow her. Mandy B saved my hair that had become a pathetic mess with roots half way to my ears and split ends for miles. For the first time EVER, my scalp did not sting from the color, which is holding up better than it ever has. The cut she gave me brought me back to respectable woman status. I have thin hair and she managed to cut it in a way that gave it more volume and body. It's not that easy to find someone who knows how to handle thin/fine hair, and I couldn't be happier. Pros: - I was "squeezed" in around 4 o'clock for a root touch up. - Kevin discounted it because it was my birthday. Cons: - It says they close at 6 on weekdays but I was the only client in the salon and the other stylists had gone for the day by 4:30. Definitely made the job feel pretty rushed. The result looked that way too. - He blatantly told me he normally declines people with (platinum blonde) hair like mine because bleach isn't something he's comfortable with, but accepted it over the phone. - My roots were very spotty, especially in the underneath and middle places. - You could still see growth between the newly touched up portion and my other hair. Over all it was okay. Nothing wonderful. I'm glad my hair was done for my birthday dinner and it looked nice for photos, but other than that I won't be going back. **$50 was also the "discounted" price. read more

Kevin, you are A W E S O M E. Came here on a Saturday morning and waited a bit before I got a haircut. All I wanted was a simple haircut to trim off my dead ends as well as take off my layers. After a hair restoration wash, my hair cut, and a blow dry (this took give and take to an hour) and a fun easygoing conversation, my hair looked fabulous and felt healthier than before. I tried Legends Salon and Day Spa for the first time, and I'm sold. The staff was relaxed and welcoming with none of the cattiness you get coming into other spas for the first time. There was a good selection of product and misc items to browse while you wait. Nice upscale place without snootiness. I booked with Katie and she did the best job on my hair! She understood what my crazy hair does and what went wrong with the last cut. She made some smart suggestions while listening to the look I was trying to explain I wanted. Oh, and the massage during the wash was delish! Not all hair stylists do that and I like it. It really sets the tone for a pampering and relaxing experience. This morning my 2 year old son got a hair cut for the first time ever. His hair was very long, thin and I was a little apprehensive about cutting it. However, it turned out AMAZING! Was there in January for highlights and a haircut. First the color came out good but there was no finishing style, just a straight blow out, not even a round brush. For $140 I would expect a style but my bad I should have asked up front. Also, the conditioner she used was awful and my fine, processed hair was very tangled and difficult to comb out. I lost a lot of hair during the process of her combing it out. For the price and the long process of pulling my hair out I will not return. She is a very nice person and the color was fine though. read more

I'm new to the area and went back to my trusted 21 year hairstylist in West Hollywood the first time I needed color and a trim, just cuz I can take only so much change at a time. I just had my very thick coarse and slightly wavy hair cut by Lacy. She did an excellent job on my hair. I went in as a walk in, I really needed a cut, and Lacy was able to get me in in under 10 minutes. My hair feels wonderful and she gave me some much needed layers to help with the bulk. She recommended some hair care products to help bring out the curl if I choose, but that won't leave it feeling hard and crunchy. She gave me a sample so I can try it before purchasing the large bottle. She asked me questions about what I wanted before starting and at the end she had me check it to see if I was happy or needed more trimming done.
