My heart was over joyed to meet these amazing animal lovers and visit their farm. They have a gorgeous ranch in central Missouri! Everything was clean, well kept and the animals were happy and healthy! Call to visit the puppies and see the Emus! We are extremely happy with our little boy, Satchel Paige, and highly recommend these breeders! They provided great support materials, supplies to get us started and spent time with us before and after adoption so we knew how to best care for our new baby! The Havanese Hybrids are Velcro dogs who prefer companionship of their human above all else. Prepare yourself, those puppies look like darling Muppets with their soft hypoallergenic hair! Precious friendly temperament! The owners handle the puppies and socialize them from the day they are born! You will receive a well loved dog who is confident, healthy and happy! read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a puppy from this company ask very specific questions about the puppy's health and what is covered after bringing them home. We brought home our 9-week-old puppy and shortly afterward discovered that he had fleas. We also learned that he had a yeast infection in his ears and ear mites. This was extremely stressful, especially with such a young puppy, and resulted in an unexpected veterinary visit and additional expenses. When we reached out to the company, we were disappointed with how the situation was handled. Rather than feeling supported after bringing home a very young puppy, we felt dismissed when we raised our concerns and expenses. I understand that puppies can develop health issues and that not every issue can be predicted or prevented. However, I expected much better communication, transparency, and support from the company after bringing home a puppy who was dealing with multiple issues so soon after purchase. The owner specifically said these were "natural" issues that can happen and the ears need to be cleaned out. Why should we be responsible for treating ear mites in our brand new puppy when we were unaware of the medical issues at the time of purchase. This experience was much more stressful than it should have been, and I would encourage future buyers to avoid this place at all costs. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

This is a puppy mill. I did walk to grounds before the owner came out and chastised me. Hundreds of dogs for breeding. They asked for a review BEFORE receiving a pup. read more

I got my puppy Poppy here and everyone was so nice and helpful. Place was great, the guy told me all about the animals and was very knowledgeable. The man loves his dogs! Great info to take home for your dog and was easy to communicate with before and during the buying process. read more

Havanese Haven - My Puppy the day I got her - Pet Breeders Near Me - Marshfield, Missouri

Our Havanese weighs double what a normal Havanese should weigh. 20 plus pounds. Looks like breeder is now only selling havapoos. Our 5 year old has a lot of poodle and other breeds in her dna (this isn't entirely unusual). read more

Looking at their website, it screams of backyard breeder. Buyer beware. You need to do your homework. Any breeder that has that many litters on the ground is a red flag. Any facility that you cannot visit where the dogs live and meet the parents of the potential puppy you are interested in is a red flag. It's not enough if they bring the puppy into their home to meet you. You need to see where all the puppies are. The USDA is very generous in what is considered okay living conditions. Just because they pass inspection, does not mean it is good. It is quite sickening what they are okay with. read more

We purchased two Havanese-poodle mix puppies from this breeder (one for grandma & one for us) and are SO HAPPY we did! The puppies have already been with us several days and have been so calm when held AND playful when put down. The best of all worlds! The owners are super sweet and you can really tell how much they love their dogs...Havanese Haven is a beautiful home, well manicured and you can see the pets here are really well taken care of. If we ever need a puppy in the future someday this will be the first place I call! read more

Havanese Haven - Picking up one of our puppies at Havanese Haven! - Pet Breeders Near Me - Marshfield, Missouri

I couldn't be happier. Sammy, our new Havapoo, is the most amazing dog. He was born on April 14th and delivered to my door on June 28th. He is smart, feisty, gentle, and a complete rascal at times. He fits in perfectly in our home with our 8 yo whippet mix rescue dog, Bella, and my husband and I absolutely love him. Working with Eric at HH was a very pleasant experience. He responded very quickly to any questions I had before the purchase was complete. Truly everything was fairly easy. We spent the extra money to have Sammy transported right to our door - from Missouri to the Boston area - and that was fairly smooth and easy, too. All in all we are extremely happy. Our cousins here in Massachusetts have also gotten their Havanese and Havapoos from Eric and we all agree this is a wonderful resource for this breed of dog. Thank you!! read more

Very disappointed!! My daughter was looking for a puppy as she had just lost hers. We were set to go get her in two days. I called to ask for pictures of the parents and asked some other questions. Eric refused and gave excuses as to why he won't send photos of the parents. "They don't necessarily look like them, they have been groomed and have short hair etc". He also said he will not share photos of them until they are ready to sell nor will he show what they looked like from birth. I asked about how he treats for giardia and Coccidia. He explained that he does preventative which I was happy with. He had to go and would call back. I wasn't able to answer the phone and we went to bed and at 11:30 pm he messaged my daughter and told her that he was canceling the sell. Luckily I had 15 minutes to cancel our hotel without being charged. I have never had a breeder deny photos of parents, or cancel a sale. I would be very cautious of getting a puppy from this place!!!!!! read more

i was lied to about the arrangement of the paperwork, i got my dog 4 years ago and was one of the first people to review, super pissed! also its sad THEY DONT actually sell havanese anymore, i guess it didnt make enough money for them, Havanese hideaway has real havanese read more

I found my my forever love, ABRA... at Havanese Haven! I was bowled over by her pics and called Eric to arrange payment and pickup. When I arrived and held her for the first time it was magic! When she cuddled by my feet as we went over the paperwork, I knew she had picked me too! As I visually explored the landscape and met his other dogs, all were very gentle and wonderfully trained. The farm is immaculate, beautifully landscaped with a lush grassy area for the dogs to romp on and enjoy. Eric is a professional dog breeder and loves all of his dogs! He is meticulous about their diet, vaccinations, cleanliness, socialization, and loving care. His dogs are healthy, happy and make loving family members, which is always his first priority. I am so blessed to have ABRA! Thank you Eric for all of your diligence, patience and hard work. Loving, well tempered pets begin with a careful selection of the qualities and good health, you want them to inherit, excellent nutrition, cleanliness, vet care, training, and a watchful loving eye! Eric, you are the creator and grand master of this wonderful Haven! Thank you again, for all of your hard work, kindness and dedication. Sunny read more

Looooong drive and somewhat hard to find but once there we were welcomed by the gracious owners and welcomed to love on all their fur babies. We ended up buying 2 babies that night! They are now 5 months old and full of energy and love. One is a lover with a gentle soul while the other is high strung and knows NO fear. We love these girls and they are fitting into our family perfectly. If you're in search of a breed that adapts well, Havenese are beautiful dogs! read more

This is a very reputable breeder with a beautiful farm with tons of space for puppy exercise. The people running this farm are very invested in the life of the dog. read more

The havapoo puppy I brought home is the sweetest little girl. I've only had her a week, but she is already my constant companion. She loves the grandkids and our beagle. (No body told her she is little.) She's feisty and but loves to snuggle. read more

I purchased 2 puppies from this Breeder. One had diarrhea from the first day I got her. She has been on medication and prescription dog food to treat Giardia for 4 weeks and hasn't made any progress. After several costly trips to the vet, I've been told it is going to be a long process before she "might" be healthy. DONT BUY FROM THIS BREEDER!!! He has my money and I have a sick puppy!! He should be ashamed of himself. Very dishonest!!!!! Save yourself from heartache and look elsewhere for a healthy puppy!! I have not traveled in my rv since the day after I picked up the puppies. I need to stay close to the veterinarian for the frequent office visits. read more

We purchased a puppy from Eric over a year ago. He said our pup would be one of the larger Havanese (probably 15 lbs), however, that turned out to be 28 pounds. We have done 2 DNA samples and our AKC registered Havanese is only 50% Havanese. I have contacted AKC and shared our information and notice Eric is now advertising Havapoos which is probably more accurate for some of his stock. I think he should list the dames and sires as he has some sketchy blood lines among his dogs. read more

We just received our puppy from Eric and Gail. She is absolutely the best puppy! Cute, alert, fearless, and smart! Good training foundation already started. Super thankful for such good breeders that truly care about the pups they are contributing to the world. read more

I was nervous bout purchasing from a breeder over the internet for the FIRST time. My husband and I were impressed with the WIDE variety of Havenese that were on this site. We fell in LOVE with Whisper and Willow whom we were trying to decide between. Never did we feel pressured to select a particular puppy and were given adequate time to make our decision. Eric ALWAYS answered ALL our questions in a timely matter via text or phone calls to put all our qualms aside. The transaction was very thorough providing us with a list of suggested items for our new puppy, a list of the vaccinations that Willow received, AKC registration/Chip information, and a sample of food that our puppy was currently on. To make this experience more memorable, we were given an adorable puppy frame with a picture of the puppy we selected. Don't hesitate to purchase a puppy from Havanese Haven. You certainly will NOT be disappointed with the quality and standards we found here. They have GREAT prices compared to other establishments. Do NOT believe any negative remarks you read. I am a true first time customer and not paid for this review. Thank you Eric & Trini for making our first experience with a breeder a GREAT one!! read more

First of all, we were not invited to view the inside of where the dogs were housed but had to sit outside in the cold while puppies were brought out. First, they smelled really bad. Beyond normal dog funk. This breeder has way too many dogs (n=63!!) crammed into one little shed, IMHO. After some pleading we were finally able to meet the parents of one puppy. The sire and dame seemed terrified. Both shaking and could not be put down for fear they would run away. One of the owners/breeders then came outside, a man wearing camo and a baseball had, that we had not met yet. He acted very strangely and unfriendly. We said hello and greeted him politely and he barely grunted. I think he was unhappy that we were meeting the parents of one puppy. I think I know why. I don't know what a puppy mill is like and I don't know if this place is a puppy mill, but we definitely DID NOT want to support this business with our money. I don't think they are treating the animals very well. read more
