For the most part feet don't matter which takes out half the complexity of dancing. Guys are told not to even learn any moves until the 3rd class and then work on getting just one down. You can use this dancing at any wedding or social dancing place and fit in with the current music. There is a focus on how to lead and how to follow (missing from a lot of dance studios) and this is enforced by the constant moving of partners around the room. My guy has some issues being taught to dance (just loves it) and in this class he's found a style that seems to work for him. Short of having private lessons, this is the best he's gotten in a class by far and he's liking it more than the more formalized dance classes we've tested out. Prices aren't bad - $10 a week and that includes one or both of their lessons that week. As a female, I find this place fun but I would highly recommend this to guys looking to learn some basic dance moves because I really think this class is being sold to men who want to enjoy dancing without getting too technical.

Her instructors are Ian and Alana and she loves them both. Ian and his wife Trista are the owners and they have a great group of caring, talented teachers. Even the people who come here on a regular basis are nice and friendly. We have seen many couples coming for private wedding lessons too. We just watched a couple perform their dance for us and it was so beautiful. I know Ian and Trista took over this business a few years ago and I think the other review on here couldn't have been on them.

Soon after we bought the voucher I became paralysed from the waist down for nearly 6months, soon after starting recovery. Once I was fully recovered and able to begin moving freely again we decided to use the voucher only to see that it was expiring in a few weeks. We called the studio to see if they would extend it and get into some classes, briefly told them of the circumstances and they very rudely shut us down and basically told us "Tough Luck" in more words than not. Tough luck ... well its very cold, rude and heartless. We had so much to deal with in that time and dancing would have lifted our spirits so much but unfortunately they were too close minded and heartless to help us out. Its a shame too, my husband and I would have loved to have something like this to do on a regular basis and would have been loyal customers...

Monika, who has been my instructor for at least the past 3 levels, is great. She's practical, provides good feedback and is an intriguing person, which makes me appreciate her as a teacher. I attended the 4th Annual International Pole Camp this year, which is hosted by Pole Junkies. I'm not sure that I would spend the money on it again unless some improvements are made, but there's no doubt that I acquired some good info, met some cool and extremely talented women who traveled long distances and am really happy to have a manual that includes helpful information and reminders addressing safety and injury management. Those who know me are well aware that I've had to deal with injuries numerous times already. Based on what I've heard from students about their experiences with other schools, Pole Junkies stands out from the competitor in terms of progression of skills and ensuring proper body alignment with all techniques. They are the most dedicated, caring, supportive, understanding and encouraging teachers in my history of training. They have expected the highest of standard from me and upheld me to this level on a daily basis. The teachers have individualistic expectations for each student, varying on the personal level, needs and growth of the student. The staff has high expectations for us as a class and will accept nothing else but the absolute best from each individual. Not only has the staff pushed me on an artistic level but as well as on a personal level. The teachers are always there to assist me with any personal issues I may be having, even if it unrelated to the ballet studio. I see them not only as my teacher but also as my mentors, guiding me through my journey. These teaches have been my biggest assets for the past two years and have had such an incredible influence on me. They have taught me about work ethic, self motivation, expectations and self-improvement. They have never put any limits on any student and see the potential in each and every individual. The environment created is very friendly, and low stress where all students from all classes interact positively with one another. The class sizes are very small ranging from about three to ten individuals per a class. The staff puts their best foot forward daily and expects the same from us as their students. I felt embarrassed at first but Annecy, our instructor, made us feel comfortable throughout and gave us an enjoyable experience. I recently attended this studio and loved the classes. I got a hard workout and the instructors…read morewere fun and sweet. However, I had a problem with payment. I purchased a two week unlimited pass for $40 which I paid upfront on my VISA. To my knowledge, I did not authorize any further charges. I attended two classes immediately following the unlimited period (my mistake - I did not recall what day I completed my first class which started the 14 day countdown). I was then contacted by the studio advising me of an outstanding account. I responded within a few days asking for confirmation of the start/end day of the 14 day trial and the dates I attended classes (you can access this information on your account online but my log-in did not work). They responded nicely with the information and asked what I would "like to do" and stated that if I purchased one of their passes that I could apply the two classes I already completed to it (a fair deal and one that I intended to take). But, I had not got around to responding to that email when (7 days later) I received an email informing me that they had decided to just charge my VISA for the amount owing. This really ticked me off. In fairness to them, I was already tired and stressed after the work week. I responded (in haste) that I had not given them permission to charge my VISA and to refund it. They responded (5 days later) that if I wanted a refund, then I would have to come into the studio first and pay for the classes in cash. I do not dispute that they were owed the money they charged me and that I would need to pay it. I just don't condone service providers that take free rein in charging your credit card whenever they decide to for whatever amount they deem owing because they have your credit card number and think they can (insert their response where they tell you that there is some small print in some document that every client signs, that no client really knows is there and which permits them to do all of the above and more at their sole discretion, haha). Also, I took these classes in February. It is February 17th. This was not a situation involving some long overdue invoice that demanded immediate recourse.

She is an older lady who is talented at dancing and does dancing for a living. She doesn't have her own studio but you go to different studios and dance there. Price is great! And she made us feel so comfortable and felt like she understood that it would take time before we actually got it ( this was great because she didn't rush us) Dawn, actually made our wedding dance and everyone was in love with it at the wedding ( actually shocked that we were able to do that) it looked like we were professional dancers but we only have been dancing for 5 months! To end this now... You should hire this lady and don't waddle at your wedding, you will be blown away with he lessons.

My daughter is in the Jazz/ Ballet combo class since she was 2 years old…read more Sometimes the younger kids have a hard time going into the class without parents, but she always gives the kids the one-on-one attention when they need it extra. My daughter always talks about Miss Jessica when we aren't at dance. She has really created a great relationship with the little ones. Her prices are great also and she regularly offers bring a friend days or try a class day throughout the months! I recommend her to all my friends!
