Great service ! After that my mom lost her hair because of chemotherapy, we were looking for wigs for long time. We got some syntactic wigs but those were purely made, specially inside cap was very annoyed my mom every time she was wearing. So I yelped and found AVERA in Pasadena, I called to asked some questions regarding the wigs and the material also I asked if they are providing wigs for cancer patients or not and Matt (very nice gentleman) answered over the phone to all my questions and scheduled in-person appointment for my mom. Our store visit was very positive experience because first Matt showed us the wigs inside differences and the quality, the synthetic and natural hair differences, the care instructions... also my mom had a chance to try several wigs to see which one was durable to her. About the store and service, it is a small store with few items on the shelves, usually they are receiving wigs every two weeks, also they have the custom made options which is little bit expensive. Befor visiting this store for a better service call them and make an appointment. read more

I needed a wig, and a needed one same day. Bachelorette shenanigans and I forgot to buy a wig for night 2. AVERA Hair saved the day! I was in a bind calling multiple places and I stumbled upon their business on Yelp. A fellow yelper, Caira, posted a photo a day prior displaying a few wigs in the shop. It's because of her photo, I found my perfect wig and newest obsession. I called AVERA Hair and inquired about the photo posted and if that particular wig was still available. The associate was so sweet to check yelp to see which photo I was referring to. When I arrived, the same associate greeted me and prepped my wet uncombed hair to try on the wig. Clearly, I was unprepared. Rookie mistake. She demonstrated how to put up my long hair being ever so gentle. It was top notch service! The wig was $90, synthetic hair, and the style was labeled Ashley on the packaging. Thank you AVERA Hair!! It was a successful night and my hair was a hit! Side Note: Parking can be an issue. This place was great. I've been looking for great quality but reasonably priced clip-in extensions that match my hair color. I found it here. Within 30 seconds of walking in, the man that greeted me walked to the back and pulled out an exactly color match. I have nothing but praise for Avera. I am very picky when it comes to hair extensions and very selective as it relates to quality. After experiencing a fair amount of frustration with some bundles I purchased from my stylist I stumbled accidentally on Avera and had never looked back. The unit I purchased is absolutely stunning, soft does not tangle and does not shed. Completely natural looking. I attend many high profile events and my hair has to be on point. Needless to say they solved that problem and I fell in love I went back and bought one more. Referred my mom who went and bought two the next day! As for customer service dealing with Matt has been a highly positive experience he is very personable and treats customers with respect. This is rare as most Asian owned hair company's I've encountered have not treated its AA clientele with the dignity they deserve and for this reason I will always buy from Avera! STELLAR Customer Service and Professionalism!!! AVERA'S Professional Stylist Program is incomparable to compettitors in value and business support. Matt, Jamie and the entire team at Avera are always available to answer questions, handle last minute requests, and listen to feedback. Their follow up and "salon check ins" is appreciated in an industry where Salon Reps are diminishing. Their showroom is great for Look, Touch and "Play". I am happy to say that i really like avera's virgin hair. I have had the pleasure of using their kinky straight which i dyed it red and the color took perfectly. This place is amazing Jamie was super cool about rescheduling me I had a meeting I was running late and I'm so glad I decided to continue to come love the hair so soft I love that it's real virgin human hair no smell to it and I didn't have to wait for it to get shipped from China. I ended up getting a 18 inch body wave 360 frontal and I can't wait to color it and leave another review. By the way I ended up getting a synthetic one as well which feels so real. This review is long overdue! I have tried two different types of Avera Virgin Hair, the first was using the Virgin Deep Wave and the second was the Kinky Straight. The quality of the hair is OUTSTANDING. My stylist colored both versions and this hair takes color so well. No tangles, no shedding just great quality hair that manages beautifully. In fact, I visited the actual store and even the owners were fooled and had no idea I had their product (Kinky Straight) in my head! I have tried many different types and qualities of hair over the years and I really think this hair is a tremendous value for what you get from the quality of the hair to the packaging and great customer service (If you live in the Los Angeles area you can even use Post Mates for same day delivery!). I know it can be daunting when it comes to finding a quality product that isn't going to break the bank and you can trust that using this hair will deliver. The best part of it all is if you take care of it properly it will last you several installs. One last thing...I have fine natural hair and have a few tracks sewn in for fullness. I use the Anti-Frizz line from Living Proof and it works so well with the KS hair. I achieve the most amazing results and my style stays looking fresh right up until its time for that next appointment! This is a true and honest review...I have not been paid by anyone to post! read more

Let me start my review talking about what appealed me to Avera in the first place which is the store front. I googled hair places near me and popped up in my searches I see a cute little place with a large window and gorgeous hair on display . So I came and checked it out and am glad that I did ! They offer great customer service along with great quality hair . I myself have been wearing extensions for quite some time now and consider myself to have a good eye for quality hair and that is exactly what they offer. Can't say enough amazing things about this hair, and the staff! I bought three lace front wigs so far, an 18 inch curly, a 20 inch curly, and a 20 inch water wave. The hair is so soft! The Avera showroom is fantastic. Matt was very helpful in explaining various options as to how the wigs are constructed, the benefits of each option and in answering questions of all kinds. I went for first time ever trying out wig and with no real knowledge of what I should be looking for. After trying just 2 wigs (that did not flatter) Matt pulled from the back a wig that was perfect color and style. This was amazing! I was wanting wig to deal with thinning hair and could not be more pleased with the ease of meeting my need at Avera. Me and my best friend seriously had so much fun and was so informed about wigs, wig care, etc! These wigs are probably the best wigs I have tried on. They are so soft and comfortable on your head. I think the most disappointing part of the entire experience was Yuta. He was quiet... kind of distant, kind of cold and off-putting. He didn't really seem friendly which kind of made things awkward. He wasn't necessarily mean either but just kind of awkward. I didn't really feel like I was welcomed or belonged. The female hairstylists were better but... he was a bit weird in terms of social interaction. So never went back.
