The line to get in on the weekend can get pretty long with people filling out waivers, but the staff is friendly and keeps it moving. Once inside, there is a huge playscape that you don't feel nervous about kids getting a little lost in due to the careful stamping at the door that ensures no children leave without an adult in their party. The areas inside the playscape are large enough for adults climb around in if you need to chase them down too. There are arcade type games at the back which you need a cash loaded card to play. The little bowling lanes are a favorite in the gaming area. The kids win tickets in the arcade and can take home prizes. There is a toddlers area too for under a certain height that our little guys are finally getting kicked out of. They miss racing their little cars on the ramps that they have in there. The rainbow dipping dots are our traditional treat for right before we head home. This place definitely wears them out!

Due to there age and their guidelines we knew this would be the last time, or so we thought. The staff informed me that because one of them was 15 and the other was 12 , that they were not allowed in. Their guidelines state that a 15 year old can still come in if accompanied by a sibling under 13 years of age. The manager told me to My face that this was there policy, but they were still not allowed in. Broke my heart to see them being turned away. We had many good memories there with the kids. So sorry that the last one had to be sour. Mt. Playmore you all are better than that. No ma'am you were misinformed, my daughter will be 13 on September 3rd. This would have been our last visit. Even stated so on the waivers we filled out. Your staff was told this and they still refused our children.

Clean, fun and since they have a reservation system it didn't feel uncomfortable or crazy crowded for the kiddos to run around. The tortoise is too cute. My daughter and her friends had an amazing time exploring the space and playing. They offer a variety of birthday party packages. I opted for the mid-tier package and rented out the whole space. The package I selected included goody bags, cupcakes, and decor which was nice; I appreciated having them handle that and they made good selections. While the space and ease of the preparations were wonderful, I felt a couple of things could've been better: 1. I had a lot of email back and forth with the party planner. She was responsive & answered my questions, but didn't provide much proactive information. It would've been nice to have a touch base phone call to go over final details and logistics the week before the party. 2. For the price I would've appreciated if they included atleast one add-on such as slime or crafts. 3. It is a very tight window - 1.5 hours with only 30 mins in the private room. I wish we could've had a total of 2 hours in the space so it wouldn't have felt as rushed.

It's so nice to have an indoor hands on interactive learning place for the young ones! It's fun and pretty clean. We were so generously gifted a family membership for Christmas by our family friends and it was perfect! The STEAM hands on learning and activities really engages children of all ages. My 7 year old and 4 year old enjoy it here. My 6 month old will get into it soon enough. No food or drinks inside the museum. The water zone is nice that it has smocks and crocs for kids to wear and change into to avoid getting wet and slipping. There is also an outdoor playscape and water tables to get into. I am so grateful they have a comfort nursing room for moms to have a private blocked off area to feed babies! It's much appreciated

The Thinkery is great for Austin, but pales in comparison to the Children's Museum of Indianapolis which is five stories and 7.5 acres.

Joan Marie did us an immense favor, too, by allowing us to start our ride a couple hours early in order to avoid an incoming thunderstorm. I'm sure she saved our weekend! And a final kudos for an excellent BBQ joint recommendation; we went straight there for lunch after our ride and got a "full" Lockhart experience! Maverick Horseback Riding is for people who want the real experience. Our guide Emily was wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable. She is a total pro. But you also have to give it up for the owner Joan Marie. She is friendly but very blunt. She is not there to play nice or baby you. She is there to teach you how to properly handle a horse. If you are shy or easily offended, you might want to look elsewhere. You need to be able to take direct feedback and use it to improve your riding game immediately. They start you off with the fundamentals like brushing, saddling, and mounting. You are expected to actually do the work. They even give you cowboy boots to wear which makes you feel right at home. I rode Sheila and we spent about thirty minutes on a short trail just reviewing the basics while Joan Marie gave proper instruction on what to do and what not to do. After that initial lesson, both ladies took us out on the trails for about an hour of riding. I think if we had gone to some other ranch that just let us be lazy rookies, we would not have had nearly as much fun. We left feeling like we actually accomplished something. Huge thanks to Emily and Joan Marie for a great day.

My son and I worked side by side on our own batches, watching and listening to chef Pascal as she walked us through the process. Bake Austin provided a way for my son and I to spend special time together during quarantine. Not only that, we learned a great deal and have become better cooks because of it. Since the class I purchased an oven thermometer and a scale. I leaned that my oven takes much more time than I thought to come up to temp! My younger son watched a recording of a brownie class from Bake Austin and made a batch of brownies. The next day he flipped through my cook book and made a 2nd batch of brownies. He's baked at least once per week since watching his first Bake Austin video. I think the video made him realize he could bake, and bake he has! During our strange quarantine period Bake Austin and Chef Pascal have been a bright spot in our lives. I'm incredibly grateful for their time and effort and I hope they receive enough paying customers to make it.

We have a house with five kids so that led to many fights. Chef Pascal's classes kept her focused on something she has been interested in since she was little. While not everything she made was easy or worked out, she learned to work through it and learned from the mistakes for next time. She has grown much more confident in her abilities and excited to try new things in the kitchen. We look forward to Bake Austin's summer camps and other future opportunities.
