The next business day came and couldn't get ahold of him. Tried for several days after that to contact him and was still unsuccessful. Terrible way to go about owning a business, not caring enough to get back with your customers. Not even a quick text message reaponse. The guy just ghosted us completely. Being that it is the end of May made things worse because all of the other pool places are already booked so he basically screwed us. This is not good business practice or a good business to support, he does not care about his customers. Very unreliable or caring of customers.

I waited and received no call back. So I again called, the owner got on the phone and told me he wasn't interested in finding a leak in an above ground pool and his diver can only do in ground pools. apparently, some services are too small. He could have at least contacted me back, to prevent me from waiting for his company's pool help.

This was the year that I said enough was enough and set out for a new company to help restore my pool. We contacted Rick and within a week of contract agreement they were out measuring for my new liner. Rick said it would take approximately a month to get the liner and that they should be able to start reconstruction on the floor soon after. A month later the liner was delivered and they were out that same week to start the work. The guys working on the pool were respectful of my property and didn't leave a mess behind when they were done each day. I even called Rick a month later because the valve on my filter wouldn't close properly. He called me back the same day and notified me he was out of town for work but he would try to have one of the guys come check it out. They called a few days later and came out to replace the valve. Communication is a huge key and Coolspot pools did not disappoint. This is an honest company and I would recommend them time and time again.

They gave us a quote about 3,000 less than any other pool company. They were friendly, professional and didn't mind all the questions I had as they went through the process. My pool needed A LOT of work so I was sure the estimate was going to be low, but turned out the estimate was high, about $1,000 too high, gotta love that. After weeks of poor communication and multiple follow-ups on my part, the crew finally showed up on September 17th with less than an hour's notice. The owner, Nick, called me irate about our "newly installed lawn" -- even though he knew about it, had been on the property on August 27th, and we had already discussed sprinkler shutoffs in advance. His tone was so aggressive that I felt threatened and uncomfortable speaking with him, and from that point forward I directed him to communicate with my husband instead. The crew left, then later returned to begin installation. The foreman admitted that the wet ground was actually caused by a neighbor's sprinklers, not ours, and was segregated to a small portion of the yard. Despite assurances that excess dirt would be raked out along the fence line and moved to low spots throughout the yard (and any remaining dirt to be placed along the side of the house), they left a truckload of dirt in the middle of our backyard and did not rake any dirt out along the fence line. On top of that, the double gates were installed backwards after having in depth conversations about how to install the gates and which side on the double gate would be the main door. The excessive conversations happened mid-install when we were told that if the double gate is installed on the side of the house we originally requested, it would be installed 8 to 12 inches off the ground (obviously unacceptable to all parties). When I raised concerns, the company agreed to fix the gates but ignored the issue with the dirt. Instead, they demanded the remainder of the payment and even came to my front door during the workday to collect, despite the job being unfinished and not as agreed. In the end, I had to rent equipment and spend my own time moving the dirt myself as well as contracting a lawn care specialist to replant the grass that was mutilated from the large pile of dirt left in the center of our yard. This was an unprofessional and disappointing experience. I have attempted to speak with DeFazio Company regarding these issues, but they have continued to demand payment without the willingness to work towards a resolution. I expect my final balance to be adjusted to reflect the work I had to do myself, along with a formal acknowledgment of their mishandling of the project. If this occurs, I will update my review to acknowledge this.
