Keep in mind I took the day off from work. I contacted Dover Chevrolet, spoke to Rich the service manager explained the situation and the fact that I took the day off from work. I had the code pulled at AutoZone and then called Harold's to talk about what the issues could be. There were a number of possibilities, including a very expensive new cat converter. I admit I don't know much about the inner workings of car engines and could have easily fell for a mechanic telling me I need something replaced that's wicked expensive. Harold though is not that guy. He explained in detail all of the possibilities that the code could've meant, and how it's usually something minor like a faulty wire. Agreeing to let him take a look for an hour's fee, I brought my car in, and he was able to find and fix my issue (which luckily turned out to be only some corroded wiring) in the time we agreed on. I only give 4 out of 5 stars because this was minor and I don't have any experience with larger repairs. But his hourly labor fee is fair and competitive with most other shops and dealerships, and Harold gave me the impression of a genuine honest guy. He's a one-man shop trying to make a living. I prefer to support local businesses when it comes to services like this, so I would recommend trying Harold's for car repairs. (He also helped a mouse move out of my car.)

I was not in the market for an Outback, yet my 6' 1" frame was not fitting in the newer SUV driver wells as I had in my 2010 Ford Escape, not even the Forester. That's when Craig Enslin approached me about an Outback. He asked a few qualifying questions about 2021s versus older used models. He then drove up a beauty of a previous TriCity Sales customer 2017 Outback used car with 27K miles. It was pristine inside and out with not even front hood road chips. I took a drive and fell for the car; their final price and the trade-in on my Escape made it spectacular! Forward to my first free oil change and inspection. Perfect! Now I wanted to add Starlink Service. They did the 3G to 5G upgrade - No Charge as a goodwill courtesy. I don't get goodwill out of most car dealers these days, yet I did here! Be patient, be thorough, and find a great group of people who will work with you; that's what I found at TriCity.

Just wondering if it's just Tri-City, but of the 3 Subaru's I've owned the dealers always washed the car (or gave you a voucher for a wash) and vacuumed the car. I was disappointed that it washed washed or vacuumed When I took delivery of my car in April it was not washed or vacuumed of pet hair (my car was a CPO dealer loaner...still don't know why pet hair was in it‍).

Ryan and Josh were great, no pressure, and went out of their way to give me one of the best car dealer experience I've ever had. I've dealt with dealerships on at least 5 occasions within the last 6 years and NBAC is by far the best, bar-none. After running the numbers with the bank, called me and came close to my magic number after initially missing the mark. Needless to say, we closed the deal over the phone as he was able to pull something off with the numbers. Since they already had all my info, Josh prepped the paperwork before my arrival. I was driving my new car after 15-20 minutes after arriving. Oh, and he did this when they had been closed for 2 hours already, essentially bending over backwards to accommodate my schedule. And this wasn't the first time I've kept them past closing hours; they gave me the keys for test drives when I was there the previous week, well past closing time. No frowns or sighs, but with a smile and courteous demeanor. I will be recommending them to all my friends and family. If you're looking at this review, you're pretty much the type that researches first before jumping in. I'm the same way and I will tell you, corporate dealerships need to take a lesson from NBAC on customer service and professionalism. You cannot get a better, personalized buying experience than with North Berwick Auto Center. Kudos to Ryan and Josh, wish there were more like them in the industry.

My dad's been a friend of the owner for 25 years, bought and serviced many vehicles over the years. However, because my dad voted for "the other candidate" the NBAC refuses to work with him anymore. It's so sad and pathetic that this happened. A long friendship destroyed because of something so petty.
