I was at the Hatton Arms last night for my cousin's 18th birthday with all the family. What a lovely pub!
It's set just outside the charming village of Stockton Heath and has that country pub feel without having to venture too far from civilisation.
The bar stocks some good ales but I opted for Old Mout Cider, a fruity little number that was perhaps a bit too easy to drink, hence a sore head this morning.
There's a lovely beer garden out the back with picnic tables, parasols and plenty of grass space for kids to run around.
Staff are friendly and the locals seem like decent folk ( I certainly didn't spot any track suits, which is always a good sign).
Food wise, we were treated to a delicious buffet of Thai fish cakes, chicken wings, salad and pulled pork, which was delicious. So judging by this, I would imagine their everyday food menu is pretty good too. read more
