Stopped in at the campground Sunday night on a long road trip to joseph oregon 10/09/22, Glad I did.great place...I'd go back there. Quiet, out of the way lovely spot for a tent site.green plush grass. Fairly quiet except the occasional coyote and owl hooting. Nice helpful employees. Showers very small, but they worked and were hot. Grounds fairly well kept, didn't see any masks or anything else blowing in the wind.very pleased to see no one wearing those silly face muzzles that don't work anyhow. Seems the farther you get from Portland, the more freedom there is. I thank my lucky stars I'm moving from this cesspool of homeless, needles, shootings, riots, trash everywhere, and ridiculous democratic ideology. Not a huge selection at the store, but had the essentials For camping. unfortunately the restaurant was closed. Which was sad. But to be expected during the covidiot adventures. Overall it was good, relaxing, very close to Hat Rock State Park. Would definitely go back....which is key.

The overnight spaces were all grass instead of gravel or asphalt. Very quiet and peaceful. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Oh yeah - seeing the stars from the hot spring pool was dreamy. I'm not sure this would be a pick if the place was full of - the sites are kind of close. But I imagine many families create a lot of great memories here. Make sure to get off at the correct exit or you'll be driving for what seems like a couple miles on a gravel road. But it does immediately put you in the campy state of mind.

Like WAY FIRST CLASS. Price is also very reasonable. Checking -in after hours is very smooth. Now let's talk about the hot springs... There are two pools and they are extremely clean and comfortable. Here's the bad part, they add chlorine. This is just an absolute no, no, no for me. I come to a hot springs for pure chemical free water. I totally understand why they do it (The pools are a distance from the water source -which is located at their resort next door).... which requires they add some chlorine). I get it. But now that I know... i know and I just can't soak in chlorine. I will, however, stay at their luxury resort next door because those tubs are completely chemical free. I'll let you know how it goes in the event I can ever afford a luxury hot springs resort.

I stayed at Site #6 on August 3/4 (Saturday/Sunday)…read more It's pretty open space and one of the farther site from the next one over. The view of Snake River is beautiful, you will see and hear trains, boats and traffic off Highway 12 all day and night. If you forget your alarm clock, the lawnmower will make sure you're up at 745am on Monday. The sound of the train will also keep you entertained. There's burn ban in the summer, but they allowed propane fire pits. Make sure you know the length of your trailers, the pull through we're spacious, there's a few site that we're very close to each other, but you can see that on the campground map before you book, so some of the reviews here are not true. The campground is very nice compared to some state and forest campgrounds that I've been to. The bathroom and showers were great, a nice plus for a Federal owned campground. Only one bathroom in the campground, the other one is in the day use area. Very Clean, the camp host goes around the grounds often on their utility cart and they are easy to find. The front check in office are staffed the whole day and the ladies were nice and informative. The camp Host were very nice! Very helpful and kept the bathrooms and all areas clean. It's an electric only hookup, there's water spigots nearby. The spiders were active and all over the place, and I think they are this time of the year. You will run into cobwebs. Keep your tents closed, there were mosquitoes, but not as bad as if you're in the forest. Overall this campground is very nice and I definitely would come back here if I need a place to stay for a few nights or months. Traffic, boats and train was noisy cause I was in a tent. Bring your swim suit, there is a swim area. Ice Harbor Dam is nearby and in the summer they have tours of the dam. The town of Pasco is a couple minutes away and they have awesome Mexican food places. Cellphone coverage with Verizon is good, you will be fine if you need to post all those pics you took for your Facebook, OF or your IG

Literally everywhere. You could drive through the park and see everyone else sweeping and spraying everything they own, just like we were, to try to get rid of them. It's pointless, as they are relentless. And they are HUGE. My husband isn't weirded out by spiders and bugs, and he was struggling with them. He is currently pressure washing all of our vehicles that were there this weekend, and we are going to bug bomb inside the trailer as well. It's a shame that they don't do anything to combat the spider issue, because otherwise, it's a nice park, and great proximity for water sports. We definitely won't be returning.

Could have a little more shade trees but seems they are working on that. But WOW! the breathtaking surroundings and amazing sunsets! A little about our trip...we absolutely made the right choice for our 2-3 day Palouse area adventure with this cozy VERY clean, quiet and literally surrounded in beauty RV park. First of all, if you've never been to the Palouse area of SE Washington State you need to go, it is a hidden gem for sure! There's online scenic byway maps available to plan your individual trip. Our first day from Tucannon RV Park we went to nearby Palouse Falls. In mid June there was a substantial flow of water over the falls making breathtaking photo ops and some enjoyable hiking around the rim. Our second day from Tucannon River RV Park we went east to Lewiston ID and up to Moscow ID (beautiful drive!). We enjoyed some quaint old downtown district shopping in Moscow then headed up to Palouse WA for lunch at the Palouse Caboose...highly recommend for the best of small town excellence! From there we headed west to Colfax on a breath taking drive through rolling hills in various colors of grain and mustard fields that depending on the season changes I assume. This took us several hours with numerous photo-op stops. From Colfax we hooked up to Hwy 26 west to Dusty where we caught Hwy 127 south back to Tucannon RV Park. Unfortunately we had not allowed ourselves enough time to really see the area but did feel we got a good feel of it. I have to say after driving several hours each day it felt good to get back to Tucannon RV Park for afternoon relaxation and fabulous evening sunsets. Coming from western WA (born & raised) we felt very much on vacation in our own state and thoroughly enjoyed the Palouse area. It is stunning and well worth the trek from where ever you hale from! Enjoy!
