The Mantoo were unlike any that I'd had before, and were very awesome. They have a little spicy bite, so I would be wary if you are a type who shies away from spicy food. The preparation is unlike any that I have seen before: like a small dumpling, chickpea and yogurt stew. Sounds good? Well, I think that it's great. How do they get that mantou pastry to be so thin? I could never do it. Same goes for the bolanee. Very lovely, thin pastry stuffed with potato and leek. Bolanee is a very wqonderful appetizer, but don't overdo it, because here's what's coming next: Lamb Shank with Qabuli rice. The raisin and almond studded rice was magnificent. When paired with the lamb, the flavours sang! Verdict: I'll order from them again. Lovely Friday Night meal, without me having to cook a thing!!

Lucky for me the day I stopped by they were having a special of the day which was a shawarma wrap with either beef or chicken, fries, and a can soda for 9.99. I opted for the chicken. The chicken was marinated so it had tons of flavor. The wrap is filled with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and a nice sauce, I added a spicy sauce which is not too hot but added a little kick. The fries were standard, no complaints. They also give you decent amount. Overall, this joint is good and I will definitely be back. No complaints with the food or the service. Most importantly they have great value for the price.

Over the years they've added various new items to their menu. Just when I think this place can't get any better, they add items such as Bolani, Quabili Rice and Dolma (just to name a few). It's getting harder and harder to settle on just one item for lunch or dinner. I want them all! The service is fabulous, the food is fabulous... clean, lean and healthy eating. You can't go wrong. I have heard from the staff on each occasion is that it has something to do with the broken but quasi-functioning tablet. For my sake and on behalf of others, I will gladly purchase a replacement device so this issue is resolved once and for all.

In the butter chicken meal, I was given a large container of butter chicken, along with pita bread, rice, and salad. I was impressed with how well everything tasted, as the chicken was tender, and the rice with the salad was abundant. I couldn't even eat all of the food, as there was too much of it! I know it's called the Kabab Shoppe but I've been craving butter chicken for a long time. I got that knowing I could mooch off everyone else for a bite of their kabab (I know I'm the worst). The sauce for this butter chicken was perfect. Flavourful without heat! Their naan is a little bit different than what you would get at most other places. The outside is fried a golden brown and the inside is very fluffy and almost reminds me of like a focaccia. I tried a bit of the Kabuli Palau which is a lamb shank over rice with carrots and raisins. This was really good and my definite go to the next time we order from here. My partner gave me a piece each of shish kabab and barg tikka and I'm a little ashamed to say that I couldn't really tell the difference. They were both decent though!
