I love how it even has shade coverings and tables in certain spots. There is a walking path leading to the other side. I noticed Camp Gladiator having a session when we visited, I love CG. Also, the grass was freshly cut and trimmed and the trash bins were emptied. There is a restroom, it did have toilet paper when I visited, but it had a few spiders and bugs hanging out inside. It also doesn't have good ventilation, so it was super hot inside. There's a vent near the top but the wind didn't reach downward. No biggie, I'll just be prepared or else just hold it haha. Anyways, great park located in a beautiful area of Haslet!

I just saw on social media that the City of Keller is going to be replacing it in 2027. There is a survey for people to take to add input until January 18 on the design for the new Johnson Road Park. It will be exciting to see what they come up with, but we certainly will miss the wooden structures.

There's white, yellow and monarch butterflies dancing everywhere as well as dragonflies in the spring. I also saw tons of cute lady bugs sprinkled everywhere and beautiful birds! Not to mention the nature is just singing here and the walk can just transport you into a peaceful state of mind. It has an area where people can fish, or take out their boat, and I always love to bring my pups out here. The full loop is about 15-20 minutes depending on how quickly you walk. Oh and you have to drive down a dirt path to get here (not too bad). I love coming here to clear my mind!

The playground equipment has grass, dirt and no soft playground padding at all. Toddlers aren't super picky fortunately. When there's water available it has nice Creek running through it with bridges it's packed with nature and even a butterfly garden area. You'll get a couple miles out of this section out/back,the trail system goes on forever if you want more, this is one of the best legs in my opinion for a brisk walk or jog some elevation and plenty of nature trails if you feel like getting off the pavement it's really good on the eyes facilities are kept up and clean. It's definitely in my top 5 round here.

You can use if for $5 a day as a non-resident if you ever feel the need to go play some b-ball, volley ball, hit up some racket ball or work out for those days you're feeling extra out of shape. Cheaper if you are a resident. They also have monthly and yearly rates as well, which are reasonable. I think the husband and I paid a little more than $50 for unlimited use of the place for one months time. This was before the wedding, so it didn't last long. We haven't been back since, but again, we're pretty lazy people. Plus he's like, underweight so I'd rather he pig out at Jack in the Box anyway. But back to the Center. They have a pool even, and lots of classes you can sign up for (kids classes too). You can even take a course to get your concealed weapons licenses, and it's a no-fail class. They work with you until pass and I believe it's only $110. Rad deal if you ask me. If you're ever in the area, I high suggest hitting this place up for some good, healthy fun and exercise. It's worth it and good for you. Who doesn't want that? And by the way, the gym is totally not crowded like most other gyms, so ladies... if you want some alone time with that treadmill or stair climber, this is the place to go.

Down along the Trinity River, behind TCC-TR and the police station, is a stretch of the park that visitors can check out. In addition, there is a beautiful memorial to Ripley Arnold. He is a pillar of early Fort Worth as it was founded and then gained traction as a growing municipality. During the summer months, the city hosts Rockin' the River with live music and festivities for the entire family. Don't miss out on what the city has to offer.

After the gate is closed if you need to be let out, you have to call the police. But there's so much to do here! Not just the swimming area! There's a hiking trail, playground and walking trails. Beautiful views and plenty of space to social distance yourself. The trails are available for no fee as far as I could tell, but the swimming area near WhoaZone is $5. They do not take cash, only debit/credit card. The swimming area has a playground and picnic areas. I think there's a spot to cast your kayaks off over there too, but I stayed near the beach and didn't explore anything else. I saw vehicles with kayaks going over on the other side. If you have water shoes, I'd say bring them and a beach umbrella as there's no shade. The sand isn't too uncomfortable to lie in, there's just cigarette butts here and there. But I definitely recommend visiting for the day or even camping if you're into it!
