I love going to the dentist for my check-ups and cleanings. Unfortunately, I went today with a problem. I'd heard a crack on the left side of my jaw and immediately felt excruciating pain. I went to my PCP. Mistake. When I left I knew he hadn't listened to the sequence of events I recited because my diagnosis was bi-lateral TMJ. Bilateral? Thank goodness I went to see Dr. Jacob (Jake) Haslam. All the staff are phenomenal. His amazing hygienist was cautious and insisted I consult with the doctor before she took any risk of causing me pain. Dr. Jake came in immediately. He listened attentively, performed some hands-on diagnostics, explained next steps using the visual of my full panoramic (Is that what it's called?), modified the mouthguard I've had for eons and made sure I was clear about my therapies. Genius? Probably, but honestly, aren't we all looking for a doctor who listens and then has the expertise to create a viable, economic solution? He's not just a pretty face, people. Drs. Jeff, Jake, and Jared are all fabulous dentists! I have had the opportunity for all 3 of them to give me a dental exam and provide their honest opinion on what work needs to be done in order to have healthy teeth. The work I have had done (cavities, crowns, wisdom tooth extraction) has been pain free and that is quite a challenge where I am concerned! I have been to dentists before who didn't know how to do pain free dental work and it would give me such anxiety to have to endure that for an hour or more while working on my teeth. They would try to give me more "shots" but I would still feel it! ...This situation has NEVER happened at Haslam Dental. ALL of my work has been pain free, as well as no annoying "cold tooth" nerve feeling. The office staff are amazing and fun! I feel like family when I go. Though I take my kids to the dentist regularly, I hadn't been myself in far too long! I decided to go to Haslam Dental because we know Jeff and this is where my husband has been going the past several years. Jeff is great and I was actually able to have his son, Jake, as my dentist. He and his assistants were wonderful with making me feel comfortable and they were super helpful with all my questions. I'm excited to possibly get invisalign to straighten out some teeth that have shifted. Also, I've recently been dealing with a damaged saliva duct on my lower lip and this is something they can help with as well. From start to finish, I had a great experience at this office. The ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and when it was time to pay that was a great experience too. I especially liked how reasonably priced their services are. This is such a wonderful office! The moment I walked in the door, I was greeted so kindly by the front staff. Everything was explained to me in a way that made sense. The entire staff is very professional and knowledgeable. I truly felt that they cared about me as a person and about my dental health. The office is very modern and has the most up to date equipment. I was especially impressed with their ability to show me actual pictures of my teeth on the TV. This helped me to see what was going on in my mouth and why treatment was being recommended. My hygienist was absolutely the best! She was so gentle and explained the procedure for the cleaning and made sure I was comfortable throughout. I love the powder sprayer! It made my teeth feel so clean. Dr. Jeff and Dr. Jake are wonderful dentists. They made me feel so at ease. I can't wait to go back for my next appointment at Haslam Dental. They are simply THE BEST! The care I get for my teeth from Haslam Dental is outstanding. Dr Jeff Haslam is a caring, gentle man who can slip a Novocain shot into your gums with you barely feeling it. He has a friendly, calm approach that is very soothing. Last time I went in it was just for a cleaning. The hygienist's name is Laura, and she is a very good hygienist with an acute attention to detail. Also the gal that was assigned to keep me from drowning with the little suction hose, Lucy, was very efficient at it. I told her that I was getting thirsty because it seemed like she was picking up about 110% of the water that Laura was putting into my mouth. And that's another nice thing about this place. They laugh at my stupid jokes like that one. read more

I am 76 years old. I have had many dentists over the years. I can't describe how far superior my experience has been with Haslam Dental than with any prior dental office. They have the newest state of the art equipment and very well trained ancillary staff. Everything, from the reception desk to the check out procedure, is well organized and customer friendly. The two Dr. Haslams are not only technically proficient but they are excellent at explaining dental exam findings and making recommendations when needed. I have the utmost confidence in the care my family and I receive in this facility. The few negative reviews here must have an axe to grind or they are erroneously describing another dental office. read more

Haslam is a great dental place very welcoming and very nice professional staff They also were very informative about the steps I need to take for my teeth and gave me the confidence and comfort I would need through the whole process because I was pretty nervous but Dr Jake did a great job doing my root canal and made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure so I would say I highly recommended this place to anyone also I want to say thank you to Dr Jake , Kelsey,Lindsey,Joy, and Jodie helping us finically coming up with a plan and giving our daughter a free toy, that was kind so thank you guys. If you want the very best you should choose Haslam Dental. Their dentists are artists as well as top tier medical practitioners. The cosmetic work they have done on my Mother is absolutely elegant. I have to respectfully disagree with the reviews below. The office remodel is beautiful but come on-- they are not trying to put patients together to pay for a remodel! My family and I haven't experienced anything remotely described in the other reviews. Jodi, Connie, Marilyn and many others go so far out of their way to make our visits comfortable and a pure luxury. They are the best and not at all overly expensive. Emergency visit was needed! I travel full time in my RV with my husband. A tooth had split in half while eating a PB pretzel nugget I was in small towns visiting national parks when this happened. I finally got to a big town and looked up a dentist to see. From the first call to saying thank you and goodbye I could not have been happier! Everyone was so pleasant and happy to help me! I had my first visit with them today, and I was blown away! The staff is incredibly fun, polite, and professional. Dr Jake is very passionate about his work, and truley seems to care about his patients. He presented me all my options for treatment and then provided his opinion. I have been to multiple dental offices and this has been by far THE BEST dental experience I have had! I am 67 and I have been going to the Dentist 2 times a year for over 50 years. I had my first visit with Dr Haslam this week, I just moved to UT from TN. This was by far the best experience that I have ever had at the Dentist. The environment,m and technology are second to none, the office staff was cheerful and professional and Dr Haslam took time to get to know me and answered every question that I had and really cared about my overall health, not just my Dental health. I had tremendous tooth pain and was in need of a root canal. I called and not only were they accepting new patients they were able to do an emergency root canal within 15 minutes of me calling to see when I could get in. The whole staff is friendly, they run your insurance and let you know the cost of the procedure beforehand. I honestly have never been to a better dental office.
