Their machine broke and I had to get a temporary crown in, they said they'd call me in a couple days when it got fixed. Fast forward to Friday afternoon NOBODY called me. I had to call them and even then they couldn't get me in until Monday. In the time I had to wait I had to see and emergency dentist twice over the weekend and pay out of my pocket. I got an infection in the crowned tooth and put on antibiotics. Unfortunately infections like that can get into the blood stream and affect the baby. Did the office care? Nope they did not. They couldn't work me in sooner even after telling them the pain has been so bad I haven't been able to eat or sleep for days because of the crown they put in causing an infection. The only person who seemed to care at all was the actual dentist but the front staff is horrible and doesn't even talk to the dentist they just tell you sorry can't help you.

First of all, the office is easy to get in and out of, located in a medical building just off of 3500 West in Roy. Once inside, you can tell they have put a lot of thought into making the office a fun and inviting place for kids. From the aquarium and the kids' "submarine" to the surf motif in the cleaning and x-ray area, the feeling is bright and cheerful. The hygienists are very good with the kids. They are kind and patient (Even when my 8 year old was complaining about the x-rays), and take the time to explain everything to the kids. When my son had to have multiple extractions, they kept him calm and made the whole process both painless and un-stressful. Dr. Anderson is everything the hygienists are and then some. I can't recommend him and his team enough. Take your kids here and they will be well cared for!

I want my time back and my insurance to get their money back. I called the call center and told them I wanted my cleaning and exam done. When I arrived after taking some time off of work I had to wait 25-30 minutes after my scheduled appt. when they called me back I had 18 xrays done inside my mouth. I have NEVER had that many done. After the X-ray the doctor finally did my exam (super nice guy). I than found out I had to schedule ANOTHER appt for my cleaning that I had thought I had scheduled for the same day like most dentists do. I came back the next day and was put through hell. The older hygienist was super rude! She "cleaned" my teeth in 10 - 15 minutes! She was rough and it was the most painful cleaning I have ever had. It felt like she was in a race and had to fill a quota. She made rude comments about my mouth the whole time. I would like to give this a 1 star but the front end manager was sweet and the Doctor was nice.

As far as the office is concerned the receptionist was extremely rude at times. She took things personal and would not work with us. I audited her charges and found they did not follow insurance patient responsibility cost. When it said patient responsibility 0 they charged us full price. We have been coming to this dental group for roughly over six years. I had an appointment for my…read moresix year old son for his 6 month check up at 2:45. We weren't taken back until 3:00. We had x-rays taken, then we were taken to the back room. The dental assistant was great and did well with my son. The new dentist who I was meeting for the first time, Dr. Vy Tran entered the room. Dr. Tran did not introduce herself and immediately asked my son "who's those people?" and pointed at me and husband. My son said "that's my mom and dad" and Dr. Tran said "should we make them leave?" My son said "no". She said "are you sure we shouldn't make them leave"? As I was looking at my son's face he was very uncomfortable and she was very persistent on making us leave the room, we did not. She asked me if I had any questions, I asked about a previous injury to my son's front tooth and she was sarcastic and rude with her answer's. She started feeling around in his mouth and he told her that she was hurting him and she dismissed his feelings and she said he's not in pain as she put both of her fingers into his mouth and started pushing in his mouth. She told us that my son had a small cavity in the back left side and told me he needed a filling. She told us that the only way she can work on my son is to put him to sleep, I asked is there any other way instead of putting him to sleep, as I did not agree with that and I stated that my other child had a filling procedure with the dentist before her and was not put to sleep. She was very persistent and pushy on wanting to my six year old to be put to sleep. She told me that if I wasn't going agree on the way she does things, she stated that I can go somewhere else. So I told my son to get up and we left the back room. I talked to the front receptionist and expressed my feeling and my experience with her and they told me that she is their new dentist and I told them I will not be coming back and will have to find a new dentist. I have never had a bad experience with this dental office. I'm very offended and disgusted with the way Dr. Tran talked to me and how she treated my son. My son does very well with the dentist and has never had any issues. She made him very uncomfortable and now he is not happy going to the dentist, she has ruined that experience for him. I would be cautious of this Dr/Dentist wanting to be alone with your children. it's weird and unprofessional!

We've gone to Dr. Albrechtsen and his staff for 5 years now. Our first daughter had to get 2 sets…read moreof braces, one when she was 9 and again at 14 because her teeth were so crooked; she even had teeth growing in the roof of her mouth so Dr. A asked us if he could take an extra mold to use as a model for a worst case scenerio. She has almost completed treatment and has the most beautiful smile thanks to Dr. A. We also recently took 3 more of our kids in for braces and one just got his braces off and the other 2 are within 3 months of getting their braces off. All have beautiful smiles now. Having 4 teenagers in braces, the office manager worked with us on a payment plan to where a small, affordable down payment was required and then we were able to spread the remaining balance into affordable payments over the course of their treatment period. My husband, children and I absolutely LOVE all of the staff there and honestly look forward to our appointments. The office is always timely and get us right in and out and have been extremely flexible with appointments of having 4 kids braces at once. I completely trust Dr. Albrechtsen, his professional opinion and his staff and have and will continue to refer all my friends and family to him as well as take our youngest 2 kids to him when they are ready for braces. I will be so sad when our kids are out of braces but honestly it is a reflection of how wonderful him and his staff are. I'd recommend anyone that is looking into the possibilty of getting braces to contact their office and you, too, will be instantly impressed and pleasantly surprised of how affordable they are. I would have never thought we would ever be able to get braces for 4 teenagers at the same time but I am 3 months away from having 4 teenagers with incredible smiles.
