Nice bar and a large selection. The marinated ribeye is wonderful!! Lots of locals at bar so got to hear about Ms State and the area.

First, let me say the stars have no reflection on the staff, food or atmosphere at the restaurant. This review is solely on the owner. It was my husband's 50th birthday. We have friends and family that we wanted to get together with and this was pretty much the middle for a meeting point. Everyone there drove an hour or more just to be there. We had a great meal with amazing service from everyone in the building. After we ate, we moved outside where they have a nice sitting area and corn hold boards that we started using. Mind you, almost everyone has been drinking, not drunk but they had a nice flow going. So while throwing the game a truck, that's parked inside the outdoor area, starts up and begins backing up. No idea where the driver came from, not a single word was spoken from the person before the truck was started. So needless to say everyone was a little slow to react. But, the driver simply starts backing up. Two people from our group was right in the area he was backing up to. Again, not a word has been said. No, I need to leave, will you move, nothing. The guy has backed up far enough that my husband had to hit the truck to get the guys attention. He then slams the truck in drive and hits one of the tables that is out there. He then rolls his window down and starts cussing my husband telling him to move while almost running over the corn hole board. Needless to say, even though his staff was amazing, being told he was the owner, we will never return. He may have had an emergency, but NOTHING will excuse his behavior. Lucky that my two year old granddaughter was with my daughter at the time and not running around like she had been previously or the cops would have been called. **he finally picked up the phone when my husband tried calling and his excuse was he wanted to get home for the main event, a race I believe it was. So no emergency and absolutely no remorse for his actions. read more

Unsure if a 1 or 2 stars. Had a party of about 12 folks, reserved table(s) arrived like reserved. I under stand given few extra minutes for a group that size to order, but I didn't think it take that much time to get food when we ordered it toke a long time, I believe I could of DoorDash food in faster, and when apps came some never got them, and food came all but 2 in party didn't get food. It was about 15 mins after for a burger and then 5 or so after that for chicken tots. But by that time the party had already eaten. Refill on drinks was few and far between. Food is okay. Takes a minute to get your order. Bar drinks are not! They need a good bar tender that knows what they're doing.

Let me start off by saying the steak sandwich is my favorite sandwich on earth, and i hate steak. I do not like the atmosphere of this place. If you are dining at the bar during the week, you will have a good experience. The dining room area is very lack luster. If the first time i visited i would have been seated there i wouldn't have come back. The drinks are a bit weak for the price. I am not mad at an expensive bar tab but an expensive bar tab and i can't even taste alcohol in my drink is a problem. There is one bartender at least there who knows what she is doing but the rest, it's gonna be a no for me. On Fridays they have live music, it was raining the last Friday i went, and the person performing was indoors at the bar area. He was so loud i couldn't hear the conversation at our table. We got breaks to talk whenever he would take a break from playing. Normally the live music is on the patio. Which I'm sure is a much better experience. Overall my last 2 visits were less than ideal. And if someone who i don't love isn't playing on a Friday i won't be back. read more

My boyfriend and I had been hearing great things about Harvey's for a while, so we decided to give them a try. We could not have been more pleased! Our server, Falon, was DELIGHTFUL. She was so friendly and helpful with our menu questions. We had the friend pickles (YUM) and the honey baked goat cheese (DELICIOUS) as appetizers, and honestly would have been perfectly content with those as the meal. They were that good. However, I'm glad we kept on because everything else was just as scrumptious. I had the chicken tender plate and he had the steak sandwich. When I was conflicted about sauces, Falon suggested some and then brought several for me to try. My boyfriend said that the steak sandwich was one of the best he'd ever had. We will 100% be back to Harvey's and suggest it to everyone we know. read more

Harvey's catered my son and daughter in laws wedding rehearsal dinner. Everything went over without a hitch. The rooms we used were spacious and clean and the hostesses were very helpful. The food we had was very good and had generous leftovers packaged to take home. Highly recommend. read more

My girlfriend and I had a lovely dinner at Harvey's on a quiet Wednesday evening. She's wanted to try it for a while now, and it completely lived up to our expectations. The food was excellent. We started with the fried pickles (nice and crispy) and the honey baked goat cheese (warm and Thanksgiving-y). My girlfriend enjoyed her chicken strips for her main. They were the size of her arm. I had the steak sandwich for my entrée - and let me tell you, what a sandwich. They were so generous with the sliced ribeye steak on it that it was enough to take home for a midnight snack. A sauce on the sandwich would have taken it over the top. While all the food was a hit, the best part of our meal was our server, Falon. She was attentive, helpful, and very personable. If you're ever in Sylacauga, give Harvey's a try - and ask for Falon! read more

Odd location, specializes in banquet and event settings, though open to the public at some hours. Ordered the filet mignon, mid rare. Reviewed an almost perfect rare steak. Good thickness and a delightful crisp texture. But covered in a sloppy glob of some sort of onions. Also had a side of loaded mashed potatoes. Cheap plastic like cheese on top of really good, fluffy mashed potatoes. Good place to watch football. Probably the only spot with a projection screen in town. Best outside patio in town. Though orders get lost in the mix of a busy crowd. read more

I will never go back to this restaurant again! If it was not for the waitress I would have given a one out of five stars. Our waitress was excellent! The food service however was lacking tremendously! It took almost an hour and a half to get our meal after we ordered! We understood that it would take a little longer than normal considering we were a group of eight... but this was ridiculous! My buddy beside me ordered two servings of asparagus and only received three pieces! When I received my order it had ice burg lettuce on it which I told them to not put on. This is a big deal for someone that has stomach issues with ice burg lettuce. When I told the waitress she immediately took it back and returned stating they were preparing another meal. Within a minute my meal returns with my wrap torn up and lettuce still on it. The kitchen simply opened the wrap and attempted to scrape the lettuce off... and failed epically! I told my waitress once again and she became very upset and apologized! After a little over two hours in Harvey's I ended up back at home with a sandwich that I had to make my self!
